The teachers are so genuine and caring toward the students, and you can tell they truly want the best for them while encouraging them to reach their full potential. Small classroom ratios paired with gently encouraging children to reach new heights create an environment where every child is truly seen, supported, and able to grow. When my son first started, he was a little behind with his speech. However, after beginning at Honey Tree & Branches, he quickly caught up. The staff have become like a second family not only to him, but to all of us. His teachers have helped him expand his Spanish comprehension, supported him academically to the point that he was able to move from Pre-Kindergarten straight to First Grade, and most importantly, they have always kept him safe and happy. I know that some people believe the facility suppresses children's personalities, but that has never been our experience. My son is bright and full of energy, and he has always been able to express himself while also learning that school comes with rules and appropriate behavior expectations. They strike a great balance between structure and allowing kids to be creative and unique. They also provide balanced nutrition while allowing them the independence to say "yes, please" or "no, thank you" to food options being served. I was initially very nervous about starting my one-year-old daughter because she has significant separation anxiety. However, the patience and reassurance her teachers have shown her has been nothing short of a blessing and has truly put my heart at ease. Within just the first month of attending, she has already gained confidence, started counting, and participates in group activities. Overall, we absolutely love Honey Tree & Branches and what they provide for our family. I truly believe a lot depends on communication between parents and staff. When you are open about your concerns or your child's needs, they are very responsive and work quickly to address them appropriately.

They create a warm, caring environment and their focus on education is top notch. Mrs. Fielding, Mrs. Davis, and all the staff are always very warm and welcoming. Our little boy loves them and looks forward to going to Honey Tree. The education they provide is extremely high quality. Recently they were the only school in the area to receive a prestigious educational award - KDSE Silver Star award. They have enrichment activities for students and do an excellent job of communicating progress. I love seeing updates and pictures on Brightwheel. Our little toddler absolutely loves Honey Tree and has made amazing progress on his social and cognitive development. The pricing is in line with other schools and even day care facilities, but they provide higher quality education and service. When I talk to co-workers in other states and tell them about Honey Tree, including what they offer and how much it costs, they are very impressed. When I'm out and about and people ask where our toddler goes the response is always "Oh I've heard really good things about Honey Tree." Our toddler is happy, healthy, and loves Honey Tree, in my opinion it's worth every penny! Additionally, all the other facilities we looked at were surrounded by concrete. Honey Tree facilities are amazing, being around nature and trees is such a great benefit for the students. I don't have to worry about packing a lunch or snacks, they take care of everything!!! We could not be happier! Oh and the school pictures are absolutely amazing. We don't have to bother getting professional photos because Honey Tree is ON IT!

Our grandson attended Wichita Friend's School (WFS) for 2-1/2 years '23-'25…read more We were immediately impressed with the goals, values, atmosphere, and amenities of the school upon our first tour conducted by the Principal, Ms. Shelly Hoffman! They are on beautiful grounds in a light and airy building. The school is "well appointed" in every way. I use this phrase rather than saying they have ample supplies, because it is almost a home away from home for the students. In addition to this, their teachers and staff are highly trained and experienced! WFS is well aligned with our convictions. They place strong emphasis on citizenship - character and manners, and teaching the children to be respectful of one another. They help the students work through any disputes by encouraging each child to share the feelings that motivated their actions, and then help them plan out a better way to communicate constructively and solve problems with their classmates. Nothing that needs to be addressed is brushed over in hopes it will fix itself! This (among other things) fosters a cooperative, caring family environment. Each child is respected, and their input, feelings and educational success are valued. They are treated with the love, kind-hearted discipline and tolerance that each of us strives to treat our own children with! WFS does not dismiss parental concerns without finding a mutually agreeable solution. The small class size allows teachers to work with students at individual levels, and get to know their students in depth (personally and on an academic level)! At times, classes are made up of more than one grade level. I noticed that this tends to foster a nurturing and mentoring spirit in many of the upper grade children and a feeling of having older "siblings" present in the younger students. It also facilitates growth and acceleration; if those in first grade are capable of getting what their 3rd grade classmates do out of a lesson, they may! WFS is quick to notify parents of any changes in behavior or mood, or any health related concerns noticed during the school day. They are very responsive and understanding of any special circumstance happening in the lives of their students or their family members, if entrusted with this information. Our grandson was treated with Agape Love and given time to pray, meditate or sit quietly each week in the meeting hall on the grounds, which the kids take a short walk to on Wednesdays! They have STEM education, and had plenty of enrichment courses and activities in Music, Library, Godly Play, Gardening, Cooking/Baking, Sign language, and Singing/Acting. I'm sure I'm leaving some of these out, for which I apologize! WFS normally has one enrichment field trip and celebration/month! They collect charitable contributions of toys in December, and have various fund raisers. The children have more and longer recess opportunities than do the public schools, and have a family-style lunch around small tables with their classmate. There is access to refrigerators and microwaves during lunch. And there is/are snack period(s). In addition to the warm and relaxed, open and cooperative environment is protection of the students (double front doors with controlled access). And last but certainly not least is that our grandson left WFS WELL PREPARED educationally, and ahead of the game in math and reading when he entered a school system out of state in 2025!! We are forever grateful for the love and education, WFS!! A++ report card!
