Also, Ms Kahn is very flexible to accommodate our schedule when she can arrange. And in emergent cases when we are running late, I just send her a message and she will take care of the kids. She also sends me photos and updates during the day if anything unusual (sometimes just that the kids are having a lot of fun playing something). She moved to her new house this summer which is spacious and super neat. A lot of room for the kids to play (we've checked other familly care in residential houses, way too crowded). Last but not least, she remembers my daughter's birthday and sent her a nice gift as well as a Christmas gift. We feel very lucky to have found Ms Kahn on Yelp. Highly recommend! I am a parent, who was really loyal to this school, and I tried to resolve our communication issues…read morelooong time. My older sun went to this school at 2021 when director was Mariah Pirhala. And she was the sweetest lady who really love kids and really take care of them. We talked about it with Mariah before I signed up my 2 kids for the next school year 22-23, and before I paid the 2 months tutoring for 2 Kids $2274. And she said that for this school year (21-22) they will be required masking inside for both kids and teachers, but for the next year, if the community level will be low, and all situation will stay positive with Covid, they will remove this requirement. And that was absolutely ok, and seems normal. School has to started at sep 12. Last email I got from RLP was from June 4. And in August I accidentally got the information that Mariah is not a director any more, and RLP has nobody at this position. They finally hired the new director at aug 18. And of course she was not able to do all the documentation in time. There was no plan for kids development, no Covid protocols, no parent hand book. NOTHING. At the parent meeting 1 week before school starts they finally said that they will keep requiring masks inside for kids and teachers. No any digital or hard copies of Covid protocols and other documentation was not provided. They hired almost all new teachers for new school year, and we met them 1 week before school starts.. when I asked about the program for kids for the new school year, they said that they have no academic orientation at the school... oops... your web site tells me other thing. New teachers was hired 2 weeks before school starts, they know nothing about school, can not answer any questions. For my older son I decided right away that he will not attend this school at the 22-23 year. But I gave him a try for the first day - he came back and said this school was super boring. My younger son went there 2 weeks.. he is 2,5 y.o. Potty trained and talk very nice, not English, But he know some key phrases. First week he just said "good bye mum" and walk away with smile. But second week was terrible. It looks like something happened there, or nobody taking care of him... he tell me that he was by himself and nobody talk with him, he can not understand what people saying and what is going on because he can not see the faces. after two weeks his new teacher were changed... it is tells me something. New Director Gina Thomson talked with me in sep 7 and she said if the community level will stay low at the end of September, school will remove the masks. I was waiting till October... Guess what? They did not, but the charge me another 612$ for another month for my younger son. I was remind her about what she said, and she answered that they "are seeing a rise in the number of students with cold and flu symptoms and will continue to watch". But this is not COVID!!!! This is regular autumn situation! After that I send another email, where I explain my position. When I sign up the documents last year I was sure that if the objective situation will be safe, masks will be not required. That I have the experience how harmful masks are for speech development for such young kids (like my older son, who has HUGE progress after I moved him in normal preschool with normal masks policy for such low COVID level). That all other preschools are masks-free from the last year! That this is ridiculous that all people can come to their church without masks, but all their preschoolers, who are safe and they are their "loved kids" has to wear the masks and have all difficulties with this... this is not fair! But she said that she want to talk with me, not write the answers. So my total loss 5 month paid tutoring (2882$) for 7 days attending. This school not refunded any penny! They just give you empty promises. They don't care about kid's development. The most important for them - your money. Their directors changing every year, as long as their teachers. They don't have any real protocols. They do not interest in the parents opinion. (90% parents was super upset about masks requirements for this year, and asked a lot of questions. RLP don't care!) Only one thing is good about RLP - the furniture and Gym inside. When I asked my older child about this school, he keep telling me that no one teacher really spend time with kids, no talking, no exploring, no discovering. They just observe and give material for free imagination. Now my older kid going in another preschool with academic plan for every week! I can see how he develops, they are masks free, teachers spent one-on-one time with every kid. This preschool cost 2 times less! And my son has HUGE progress. If you considering RLP - you better not! I am super sorry that I believed them for so long time. They can talk very beautiful speech but this is just BS ...

Many teachers have been there for decades, which says alot about their devotion to child care and understanding of the curriculum. They have a beautiful new facility and regularly have classroom activities for the kids like a petting zoo or story time guests, etc. Their academic program is strong. They also offer extra curricular activities (optional) like dance, soccer, karate which allow my kids to try new things, but it does not replace any of their academic programming, its simply a different physical play activity. They are not as expensive as others in the area probably because they are a nonprofit, but still provide high quality child care. They also offer before and after care once they are in kindergarten (which will be a life saver).
