While the cherry tree…read morewas removed (after some delays), Thomas's team also removed our not-dying cypress tree -- a pretty big error! We had to negotiate with Thomas in order to "only" be charged for the cherry tree. In addition to this huge mistake, Clay's Tree Service did not finish cutting our cherry tree down to size, debris was left throughout the backyard, and they trampled our front yard, turning it into a mud pit. When Thomas's team came by to clean up some of the mess they made, they hit a tree in our front yard with their truck, taking off a large limb. They had the temerity to not notify us of this damage and, upon being confronted, offered us additional "service" as compensation for the damage. This was a horrible experience and I recommend avoiding using Clay's Tree Service in the strongest possible terms.

We'd been putting off getting the doug fir in our front yard thinned for some time due to the…read moreexpected cost. But the needles in the yard and on the roof became too much, and, after some very windy seasons, we were left with several branches hanging by a thread. I called many tree services, but none of them compared to Aspen. Clay was very professional and pleasant, but most importantly, his experience was self-evident. Not only was his bid the best price, (and less than half of what we expected to pay) but it was also very thorough. He was very descriptive and detailed, so we knew exactly what work would be done. This was extremely helpful to us, as we had never needed this type of service previously. They were able to come the same week and arrived on time. Within hours my property was transformed. They worked quickly and efficiently and removed all limbs and debris. In the future we will continue to use Aspen and will recommend this company to others. Mostly, my husband and I feel that Clay and his crew went above and beyond what was expected and we are more than pleased with his work.

Treecology responded fast to my call and were out to my house to assess the situation within a few hours. Damon was professional and even pointed out another tree in my yard that was fine at the moment but we'd need to keep an eye on it and consider removing it as it had the same problems as the tree that fell (non-native pine that was smaller but already showing signs of the type of rot that made the other tree fall). Very few arborists even responded to my weekend emergency call, of the few that did and could come out to my house, none of them caught the other tree that was becoming a danger in my yard too. A day later Treecology was out at my house and the partially snapped and dangerous tree was gone, site cleaned up, and a bunch of wood was left for our fireplace! I would absolutely use Treecology again! Professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and reasonable prices. Great company that is definitely worth the call!

We recently hired Arborists of America to assess and perform work on several large, mature trees on…read moreour property. Will Byrd was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in addressing our concerns. The primary project involved installing a 7-strand steel support cable in a large Western Red Cedar that we particularly wanted to preserve. Will also removed several large dead branches from another cedar, with only one additional hour of labor charged. He reduced the quoted price for an aerial inspection of our Giant Sequoia to $500, and his crew even cut several large ivy vines from another mature cedar in our forested area at no additional charge. The crew was professional, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and took great care around our property. Considering the size of these trees and the work involved, we felt the pricing was very reasonable. We especially appreciated Will's emphasis on preserving our mature trees whenever possible rather than recommending unnecessary removals. We would not hesitate to use Arborists of America again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional tree care.

We had the sidewalk replaced and I tried to cut down branches that were hitting cars. But the tree was overdue for a pruning. I left a message for a company I knew about, but they aren't pruning trees anymore so they forwarded my info to Second 2 None. When I was at work, Panta went to my house to inspect the tree and he gave me a quote. The price sounded good and Second 2 None is a local company, so I made an appointment with them. Panta worked with my schedule so that I could be home when they came. They arrived this morning when he said they would. I appreciate their punctuality and it turns out Panta is a super nice guy. More importantly, it looks to me like they did an excellent job pruning the elm tree and cleaning everything up. I think their skillful work was definitely worth the cost and they were very professional, so 5 stars. I will also recommend them to my neighbors who have large trees.
