Cannot evaluate how this place gives care to people because I never was able to even get a response from them. I am scheduled for a appointment today which I needed to reschedule because I have a cold. I have been trying to call them sincelast Friday. They don't respond, they don't answer their phones, they don't even put you on hold, and if they put you on hold you you sit there for two or three hours . Evidently the patient is not a priority with this company. I am going to have my PCP give me a new referral to elsewhere. I'm sorry they were not able to fit someone else in my slot, but if I cannot notify them, if they don't respond that's on them. read more

5 stars, all the way. Dr. Soderberg and Dr. Chastain are the first physicians that really listened to me in over a year and a half, and ultimately helped me receive treatment for what turned out to be CANCER. They are fantastic doctors. When Dr. Soderberg felt he was not the right fit for what we found out after some diagnostic imaging, he referred me over to Dr. Chastain within the same practice. I felt this showed great respect for me, my time, and my health. The staff is professional, polite, and efficient to the best of their abilities. There are some things they may not be able to assist you with, and if so they refer you to the proper person in the practice and transfer you over, or explain what the other options are. The main complaint I see is about wait times or delays in being able to schedule appointments. Nobody wants to wait in the office or for scheduling... however, it's a medical office, and the entire medical field is understaffed all around these days and has been for years now. On appointment days (I've been in 6 times since Sept. 2022) I waited no more than 20 minutes in the front waiting room, and no more than 5-10 in the exam room every time I went in. That's pretty average, or even better than average, compared to any medical office I've been in in the last 3-5 years. read more

I went to go to Tucson Ear Nose and Throat pet my primary doctor at Banner I saw Dr. Michael whom I was not impressed with at all. Whstbi thought was supose to be a biopsy turned into a routine exam only to be told he would write a referral for me to see a Pathologist to get a biopsy done for me to see if I have Thyroid Cancer or not.. Yup its been almost a week and no referral written by this fruit loop of a doctor. I am pissed went off on his medical assistant . I am going on vacation on the 23rd and told her I would like to have this done however, I seriously think HELL has a better chance of freezing over.. It's gotten to the point where I now say fuck it if I get this biopsy done I get it done and if not I don't give a shit .. A huge F U to this facility..... I am surprised they are even in business as its clear the staff hate their job as much as the doctors . read more

I suffer from chronic tonsillitis and step throat. As someone who talks a lot on the phone for work, this can be very rehabilitating and painful. I myself work for a surgeon's office as part of the staff, and I can tell you we would NEVER give our patients this kind of poor service. So you can understand, I will detail my entire experience from the start. My PCP referred me for the chronic tonsillitis, and it took 3 months to get on the schedule for an appointment. When the appointment time finally rolls around, I come in 30 minutes early just in case they have anything else for me to fill out. It takes forever to get to the front desk, and they hand me a tablet to complete another questionnaire (in addition to the one I already filled out on the patient portal). The tablet questionnaire was so long I wasn't finished by the time I got into the room to see the surgeon, and was still filling it out as the surgeon was questioning me why they had none of the info I was supposed to fill out in the waiting room. I can deal with poor appointment service, but what came after the appointment has been the worst. My surgical coordinator WILL NOT call me, despite pleading for them to. I have not spoken to this person once, and they will only text me (taking between hours to days to respond). I don't want to ask questions and voice concerns about my surgery over text? I want to speak to someone, verbally! They don't really know anything, and are very vague. They can't tell me the quote, or if my insurance is covering anything. They told me to call the surgical center to get the quote, and when I did they told me I'M NOT EVEN SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY. My surgery is scheduled for less than a week from now, and they're telling me the surgery I scheduled with the coordinator months ago isn't on the schedule. So, to sum it up... I don't know how much I'm paying, I don't know the address of where I'm having surgery, I don't know what time it's at, and to top it off.... I'm not scheduled! Injecting some sarcasm here, I've had a WONDERFUL and STRESS-FREE experience. 10/10 do not recommend! Go anywhere else! read more

They treat people like fast food service The lobby was full of people and they tried to get people in n out as fast as possible They don't care about helping people. I was crying on the phone telling them I needed an emergency appointment asap. They scheduled me for a month later. The doctor at the appointment didn't tell me anything. I had keep asking him questions just to get him to tell me the basic stuff about what was happening with my ears. I called back two days later and they tried playing the same game. I wish I could've gone to negative stars for this review. Last week my Wife called for an appointment for me after being referred by Copper Queen Hospital's Emergency Dept. Earlier in the AM (app 2 AM) I had my nose "packed" due to severe epistaxis w/leakage and pain inside the nasal cavity post procedure. I couldn't talk coherently due to the packing so she did the talking. The phone "tree" of options was extensive and time consuming. She finally got in touch with a human Operator who transferred her to a "Scheduler." After several rings and another litany of options, she left a message that purported to be answered within 24 hours. It has been almost a week now, and the phone(s) not ringing is Tucson ENT NOT getting back to us. In this day and age it is is not acceptable to not respond to a call for assistance. Granted, it was not emergent, but it did upset my quality of life, lower my blood count and leave a very bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) for the quality of care @ TENT! Quality of service begins with the first person encountered @ any place of business; Police, Fire, EMS, car care, restaurant/hotel reservations and on and on ad infinitum. This story has a happy ending, though. I did not cauterize my nasal cavity with freshly burned wooden matches. Thanks, TENT for the not-so-stellar customer service. I have been a patient of Desert Ent since the 80's and for my husband and I it has been one problem after another. I am a retired teacher and have a paralegal degree in litigation and real estate law. I am positive that you owe $700 for approx. 4 years. I am taking you to small claims court and may seek a lawyer for not providing my sublingual drops and and for mental aggravation. We made an appointment for my 77 year old mother to have her ears drained of wax. It took 3 months to get an appointment and now her ear is infected. Worse yet is that they failed to send in the antibiotics prescription to the pharmacy. I left a message with the doctor's assistant and no one is getting back to me. I am a Deaf mother who was referred to going Ent for my second daughter's hearing loss to test more to see if she's hard of hearing or see any damage. They didn't do anything most of the time and waited for one hr to finally get into the audiology room to see what was going on but unlucky my daughter is moving too much and can't get more answers. I have to go back to the waiting room to wait for Dr. Parry & took me to a room to see Dr. Parry & everything turn me off after he asked me about a Cochlear implant a few times when I have been rejected it and recommend that I want to get my second daughter hearing aids & was asked if I am ok with my daughter being a deaf.. it crossed my line with that question. I will not recommend any parent with deaf children go there! A cochlear implant isn't worth recommending first. If you have something as debilitating as common vertigo, forget trying to get help here. Tried to schedule appointment with Dr Cravens but was told he does not treat vertigo, ever hear of an ENT not treating this horrible ear condition? Finally foisted onto another Dr. Spent two hours going thru their schtick including mandatory hearing tests etc. No help in resolving vertigo issues and the crowning blow was learning that they do not even do the so called Epley maneuver to reattach crystals in the ear, a common cause of benign positional vertigo. They send you out to who knows where. Very large and fancy facilities. My advice find a small ENT group or sole practitioner in this field. read more

At my first visit, I had to wait over an hour after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Great doctors but terrible customer service. This starts with the front office and office manager. Waited in the waiting room, 45 minutes after my appointment time to finally be taken back, only to wait another 20 minutes before being seen by Sal. Upon entering he advised me that he was just getting over a cold. He asked me maybe a dozen questions, then proceeded to stick a camera tube up my nose. The whole time being examined and scoped took less than 10 minutes. Was shocked when the bill came....over $450.00. That cold Sal was getting over? He passed it to me. Outstanding ! Dr Soderberg and his team were amazing! I live in chronic pain from a neck injury , my biggest fear was being in more pain. They reassured me my surgery wasn't that invasive. I needed a clearance to get hearing aids, so my doctor sent me to Tucson ENT . I tried to see a real doctor, but they set me up with a pa-c, named Liotta. He was a pompous little man who had no idea of customer service . He told me I needed more test and he would set them up, which hasn't been done to date. He acted like he wanted to chisel more money out of Medicare. Patients be warned. read more

Erica at the front desk was not helpful. When we got there from Benson, we were told they canceled the appt yesterday and rescheduled it for August 31. She told us 4 times that they called and left messages, but there were no calls and no voice-mail. She told me she was stressed out, as if that was something to say to a patient! I told her we were stressed out as well because the patient was 99, and it took an hour to get there. Erica has no business working a front desk, because she is arrogant and condescending. My review for Dr. Chastain is long over due. I started seeing him years ago for chronic sinusitis. Previous doctors would prescribe oral antibiotics and send me out the door in 2 minutes. Dr. Chastain gave me medical sinus rinses and did other in office treatments to help me improve significantly. At a checkup for my sinuses, Dr. Chastain discovers a nodule on my thyroid with his bare hands that turned out to be cancer. Fast forward to me being in the hospital now post surgery, of course he did an excellent job. But even if there was any serious complication (which there isn't so far) Dr. Chastain has given me opportunity to be here longer for my wife and two children that I would not have had without his expertise. He took out the cancer and is sending me for additional treatment now. He came in on a Saturday in the hospital to check on me after the surgery. In the office when went for the pre surgery consult, Dr. Chastain had a picture of the thyroid area and drew out by hand for me everything he would do and fully explained the entire procedure. He then stayed very late about 5:45 pm answering questions for me, he wasn't rushed, impatient, and was kind. Dr. Chastain is skilled and professional but he is also compassionate and a good caring man. This review is long but he deserves to be recognized. read more

We were referred here to help my special needs daughter with saliva issues. We waited 2 hours to see the doctor the morning of our appointment. When we finally did see Dr Cravens he suggested botox to help. We were then told that they would contact her insurance and then call us to set up an appointment. After a month of not hearing from anyone I called and left a message. A week later I received a return call from a person in the office telling me that my message was left for the wrong person - but that she would forward it. A MONTH later I received a text letting me know that they would call me the next day to update me. That was months ago - I never heard another word. I have tried texting back but received no response. I have never been ghosted by a doctor's office before, but that appears to be what happened here. read more

Encouraged to undergo a "functional" rhinoplasty with doctor cravens. From a health standpoint there was literally no reason for me to have the surgery. Didn't do a sleep study test to see if I actually had sleep apnea but heavily encouraged me to underdog rhinoplasty. Was also insulted during my consult by cravens. Laughed at me while taking my pre op photos and insulted my intelligence. If your standard of care is to insult patients all the while encouraging them to undergo unnecessary surgery then you need heavily reassess your medical ethics. Oh and my nose now looks unnatural, is deviated to the side and has a divot in it. Stay away from this practice. read more

I'm writing this review because when I was searching for an ENT, I could not find guidance for finding a competent doctor with good bedside manner. Dr. Elias Stratigouleas is all the above. I never feel rushed in my appointments with him. He comes in explains everything, sits down and makes me feel so comfortable. Being in the medical field I am very particular about my choices of providers and I have been thoroughly impressed, not only by his bedside manner but by his recommendations for care. He sent me to a GI MD that he himself uses and recommended PT for an issue I've been having. He is super thorough and I appreciate that so much. When choosing him as your ENT, you can rest assure that you are in competent hands. read more

I woke up at 1:30 in the morning last Thursday with a sharp pain in my right ear and could feel a warm liquid draining from it. I got up to find it was blood dripping from my ear. I went to the emergency room where the attending MD suspected that my eardrum burst as a result of an infection behind it. At that point, I could not hear any sound whatsoever from it. "You need to see an ENT doctor ASAP, as soon as an office opens." I already had a new patient appointment at Tucson ENT with Dr. Stratagoulius. I had made it back in Sept. The first available was Feb. 21, then Jan. 15th they called to say I needed to reschedule, first available was April 25, then this happened. So, I called them and told them I had just been at the ER and the attending MD said I need an ENT's attention right away. "Our first available is May 2." I explained again that this was an emergency situation, and that I couldn't hear anything out of my ear. Still, May 2. I asked what a person in my situation should do. "Call your primary care physician for a referral." I responded that I had a PPO insurance plan that didn't require a referral. "Call and ask their advice." Zip, zero, nada help from the office. The receptionist sounded as though she could care less--not her problem. I hung up and called Valley ENT and told them the same story. They transferred me to their emergency scheduler, who got me an appointment just an hour and a half later with Dr. Tennyson. Dr. Tennyson took his time, was sympathetic, and thorough. I got a prescription for antibiotics and drops for my ear. I go back for a check-up in three weeks. Hopefully, I'll have good news. After such terrible treatment with Tucson ENT, I canceled my appointment. I don't want to have a doctor who doesn't care about my health; more importantly, I don't want a doctor who doesn't have contingencies for emergency situations. Tucson ENT is a poster-perfect example of the indifferent, unsympathetic, and condescending treatment you get these days at some doctor's offices. They are the worst. read more

My husband has a bloody nose problem since going on blood thinners. Last night the emergency room inserted a packing in his nose to stop the bleeding. He had an appointment with Dr Dean on April 4th and we called to have him seen asap the packing has to be removed in 5 days was told to go back to the emergency room. My 6 year old son has been very ill and has a critical operation in a few days and they threatened to cancel his operation if we didn't pay the doctors fee BEFORE services were even rendered. So basically, if the doctor doesn't get his personal little payment in his pocket before hand he isn't gonna bother showing up. When I asked for a copy of whatever hard copy documentation that spells out this ridiculous policy my request was pretty much ignored. Of course the regular co pay is due when we get there but oh man... these guys threw an actual hissy fit about getting their private fee in advance. And to top it off we never recieved any letters they claimed to have sent explaining this because somehow they didnt even have our correct address on file. They dont care about their patients or about having the right info and when they call they sound and act like a collections agency. ​​Trust me, go elsewhere. Went to see Dr. Parry for my sons tongue tie, he's only 12 days old so my husband and I were obviously extremely nervous and anxious. Dr. Parry did a wonderful job explaining why tongue ties cause an issue and how it impacts breast feeding, which we were having issues with. He was very thorough, kind, and took time with us. I would highly recommend him to anybody. You can tell he cares. read more

I would never, ever go back here. This doctors' office truly makes you feel like a number being herded back to see a doctor. They clearly overbook heavily. My two appointments were an hour late each time (before I even entered an exam room, never mind the time I sat waiting for the doctor). The staff is not friendly at all. They collect your money and that's that. Once I was able to see the doctor, he actually got up in the middle of talking to me about my concerns, and went to see a different patient. Imagine my surprise. When he finally came back, he hurried me to finish. I felt like a real waste of his time, and like my very significant pain meant little. When I went back for a revisit, he already forgot me, and didn't even take the time to read my chart before entering the exam room, so I had to sit and list my issues all over again. Way to make a patient feel uncared for. Then, they billed me incorrectly, causing an insurance issue. OH MY GOSH! Goooood luck getting someone on the phone from that office to deal with billing issues. It was like pulling teeth. We called day after day, leaving messages that were never returned, being put on hold, being disconnected, never being connected in the first place, to finally get the issue resolved after TWO MONTHS! All they had to do was resubmit a form, but you can't get anyone on the phone to help you. Here's a tip: When no one picks up their line, call the scheduling department and make them connect you to someone. That worked some of the time, though not most of the time. This was truly the most awful experience going to a doctor in easily a decade for me. Avoid this place. They are not there for anything but your money. There are easily dozens of doctors in the city that will give you personalized care, with staff that is there to help. read more

So under protest I am going to pay the 71.18 to keep Tucson Ear Nose and Throat out of bankruptcy court and keep the account off of my outstanding credit profile. There should be rules against sending an account to collections when it has been disputed. From the look of the reviews Tucson Ear Nose and Throat has a bit of a customer service problem. When I went to see Dr David Hu I thought I would get help. Thats what most people expect to get from a Doctor "HELP" with a medical issue. Most doctors do not make the issue worse, but that is exactly what David Hu did. He made my medical issue worse and then he did nothing to help me. I am guessing that is why the Arizona Medical Board was formed. My next step is a complaint with the Arizona Medical Board. read more

We went last appointment and for us to even see the doctor you had to pay $100 in advance. At the end of a 7 minute visit the dr showed a bill of $90. We went to the front office and they promised to refund it on the card. Of course it never got refunded. About a month later we how collection bills every 2 weeks or so and eventually phone calls. Staff was rude and never wanted to remove the additional charge. I had to come to their office to haggle with them and they asked me to prove it to them that the 45 USD was not owed. After a time haggling with them i requested to see the original file and we found the original charge of $90 USD not $135. The staff blamed it on the doctor. But i believe that this office is over billing everyone they can. No wonder insurance prices go up. Over billing doctora and medicines you can buy in other country for less than 10% as to those here. It ridiculous. Anyway we decided to cancel our follow up appointment with this office due to lack of ethics. I agree with others who have waited for long periods of time. Just when I think I will leave and not come back, he finally shows up and says, "You know we have many patients with different problems." Also does not look at past visit, did not request records from previous doctor until I was in office (after the tests HE did showed nothing). They lost my referral and even though I was standing in front of the lad after having had waited for over a month she apologies and only offers to reschedule me for almost another month out.
