My daughter and I got ice cream here one night. They have a lot of flavors. The huckleberry fudge was so good. The sundaes come with a waffle cone bowl so just a heads up! The scoops are generous and they have a lot of unique flavors like graham slam, moose tracks, etc. Eagles is actually a historic place and it's fun to see the counter and imagine all who have traveled their throughout history for a sweet treat. read more

Just reviewing the ice cream. Fairly standard case of hard dipped Wilcoxson's brand ice cream with large variety of flavors. Fairly typical pricing about $6 for a scoop. It is part of a gas station/general store so service may not be on point as they are covering multiple areas of the store. Doesn't have anything special like in house made waffle cones or anything. Also doesn't strike me as a good place to get shakes or specialty ice creams but if you just want a quick scoop of ice cream for the kids it'll do the trick. Main deciding factor between here and the stand across the street was having the ice cream case so the kids can see/pick out their ice cream and prevent a buyers remorse kid tantrum. Outside seating is limited, just one picnic table and a few benches in front. read more

This Karen's to have a better selection of ice cream than most of the other places in town. It's set behind an old soda fountain which is pretty cool. The kid that was serving offered up 'try out' spoons if we wanted. We opted for a cone and a cup, both single. They were both a pretty decent sized scoop which hit the spot perfectly. A scoop will run you about $5. This place also has a gas station, gift shop, and mini mart. read more

Marketed as a historic soda fountain landmark, when they don't even have a fountain. The shop is simply a glorified gift shop. The best they do is sell ice cream. All the employees were clearly foreign. Not what we expected from a supposed historical landmark. read more

Over priced!! Service was soooooo slow! It isn't even a soda shop anymore, they just have a self serve soda fountain like they have at any gas station, except it's small and probably from the 90's. I was so disappointed to go to Eagles curios today. I took my family to go to the old store filled with western wear, cowboy boots, belts, hats, outdoor wear and moccasins along with great gift ware.... We went in to find the nearest store to Yellowstone National park in West Yellowstone, blasting Spanish music, (I like Spanish music) but country' I feels more authentic there . We crossed the threshold to only find tied dyed tee shirts baseball hats, a few Christmas ornaments, puzzles which for us was quite a disappointment.... What happened? Where is the Eagle family? Grateful the old historic soda fountain is still there. I am a Montanan, I have been to Eagles curios for decades, I love Yellowstone National park, but so disappointed in Eagles curios today. read more

If I only rated on the taste of food, value and atmosphere this place would be a 4-star place. But my reviews are heavily based on service. If you go here prepare to wait a beary beary beary long time to have your order taken. For the life of me I can't figure out why they didn't have a "ice cream cone" only line. We watched at least a dozen people walk out because of the service. The ice cream was outstanding and just watching them make the many malts and shakes, I would bet they are nothing less than great. The Soda Fountain is located inside the Eagle's Store. The best Vanilla Malt I've ever tasted! The malt is creamy and delicious. They also give you the extra malt/shake that didn't fit in the cup. You must try their malt or shake! read more

There are quite a few ice cream shops around town but I really like the old time soda shop feel of this place. You sit on stools and most of the equipment is from the 50's. Feel free to try other places but don't miss this gem! The teenagers working the counter were polite and answered all of our questions. We ended up ordering three cones with two scoops each along with a sundae and a chocolate malt. I tried a bit of everyone's ice cream and it was good! I highly recommend the huckleberry ice cream with the huckleberry sauce. Very tasty! I ordered the malt and loved it. It's harder and harder to find places that make malts and even harder to find places that do it well. These guys nailed it! As a side note, I recommend having the chocolate malt made with vanilla ice cream and Mom Eagles homemade chocolate sauce (yes, that's really the name). All told I spend about $25 and receive a lot of ice cream! In summary, great ice cream with exceptional service and a fun atmosphere make this place a winner in my book! read more

This was about the BEST ice cream I've ever had!!! This is 'chocolate runs through it' and it was delicious!!! It had very thick ribbons of fudge! The gentleman at the counter was very friendly, and the place was set up as an old time soda fountain. We sat at a big, wooden counter and had our ice cream! I'd highly recommend going here. This place is unique in that it has its original soda fountain set up... counter and stools. We all had ice cream and it was good. I was disappointed that they didn't have the "true" soda fountain set up with syrups and flavors to add to fountain sodas. It's hard to find a true soda fountain now a days. However, it was neat to see. The staff was awesome and super kind . It's worth seeing if you are in the area. read more
