    Huckleberry Fudge single scoop
    Jeff R.

This Karen's to have a better selection of ice cream than most of the other places in town. It's set behind an old soda fountain which is pretty cool. The kid that was serving offered up 'try out' spoons if we wanted. We opted for a cone and a cup, both single. They were both a pretty decent sized scoop which hit the spot perfectly. A scoop will run you about $5. This place also has a gas station, gift shop, and mini mart.

You know that phrase to hot to handle? Eagle's was too hot for ME to Handle! It was July. IT WAS SO HOT INSIDE! I had to get out! I placed my daughter's ice cream order and walked out. Dad waited for the ice cream. My Eagle experience was short lived.

How sad the virus closed my favorite place to get a milkshake in West Yellowstone I always got the large $6 huckleberry shake and sat at the soda fountain with other tourist but not this year

The Soda Fountain is located inside the Eagle's Store. The best Vanilla Malt I've ever tasted! The malt is creamy and delicious. They also give you the extra malt/shake that didn't fit in the cup. You must try their malt or shake!

We are a family of milk shake drinkers. All we have to say is that this spot makes one of the best milk shakes we have had. Thank you!!!

Not very good. My milkshake was spun so much it was like milk. Out of vanilla ice cream. I would not return.

We went there two or three times! It got pretty busy, and the friendly staff kept the line moving. They had about 20 flavors (Jul 2026): chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, butter pecan, coconut & chocolate-covered almonds, cookies & cream, "cowboy" coffee (strong cold-brew coffee flavor with a sprinkling of fresh coffee grounds), double-chocolate orange, sweet fragrant huckleberry honey & lavender, mint chip, pistachio, prickly pear (people said like light berry or watermelon), raspberry cheesecake, rocky road, salted caramel, and something they call "Wedded Bliss" made of vanilla, fudge, salted-caramel, & fudge-covered almonds. Plus a few more flavors that I didnt write down. Day three of our trip: Our third serving of huckleberry ice cream! We got a half-gallon to share at a cookout. We also got crowd-pleasers: brightly-flavored strawberry and rich chocolate. (We got cones of other flavors, too, later in the week.) All were richly creamy and tasty. Fourteen of us at the cookout. No ice cream left over :-)

My husband and I stopped in for some locally made ice cream, hoping there would be a vegan version…read moresince I tend to be lactose sensitive. No luck there, but it turned out that taking a chance on the real thing was worth it: I had the best vanilla affogato ever, with very little tummy trouble afterward, and my hubby discovered huckleberry ice cream. Some of the choices here will take a bit longer to put together - the bubble waffles are made at the time of purchase, and take a couple of minutes in the iron. Espresso is also made one lovely shot at a time. We were lucky enough to visit W. Yellowstone in early May, when there aren't any lines, so waiting for a minute or two wasn't a problem, especially when it turned out the ice cream and espresso were both so delicious. For a small shop, the menu is really diverse. There are two different types of waffle cones (hot bubble and premade standard), a full range of coffee shop essentials with alternative milks (almond, soy, oat), crepes, shakes, and a few panini sandwiches (including vegetarian). Indoor seating is limited, but there are outdoor tables as well. The shop is small, but cozy and offers some souvenir items as well. This is one of the best indie coffee and ice cream shops I've been in (not just here, but anywhere) - I hope it doesn't lose anything to the massive crowds that will descend upon it once summer's here.

The service was quick, and the place is really cute. The coffees were subpar. My boyfriend liked…read morethe huckleberry mocha but I thought the toasted marshmallow breve wasn't sweet enough for my liking, almost with a bitter taste. I would go back to try the ice cream though.
