We have endured incredible hardships with our oldest dog, she was paralyzed by a vaccine and we went to great lengths while living in Chicago to get her back to walking. We also recently added two more dogs to the mix, so we happily have all the pups under one roof for their medical needs. Asked me if the discharge was clear. Stated the steroids would clear it up. Turns out that side of her face was hiding a secret...cancer (which the vet in Ashland saw right away). Called again told couldn't see her. So, emergency forget it. This was a work day. Bet a dog emergency would have gotten in. Next day I took my cat to Ashland and she had to be put to sleep. End result may have been the same but more could have been done for her. Brought in a cat experiencing diarrhea and just over a month later she is dead. My family and my other cats are devastated. Needless to say I will take my other cats somewhere that actually examines them and cares about them.
