She and another lady arrived to complete the service on time. She emphasized on arrival that they were heavily booked today and seemed a bit anxious. I thanked her for scheduling me. Out of respect for their time, I showed them around quickly, and they got to work cleaning. I left the house with my dog for a bit, though they said we could stay to minimize interference. Within an hour to an hour and a half, they were done. The cost was $140. When I came back, everything looked okay at first glance. However, later, I found debris still in the corners. The water was dirty when I mopped my floor a week later. For context, I have a tiny dog whose paws get wiped on entry. I don't wear shoes in the home, and I work out of town and am out most of the day on the days I'm home, so there is not a lot of foot traffic in the home. I'm unsure if the home didn't get the attention needed because of their busy schedule or because it stressed her, but attention to detail is critical in the cleaning business. If proper attention can't be given to a home, it's better to reschedule than leave the job somewhat undone.

Started getting estimates to replace my 25+ year old roof and Solid Roofing was one roofing company…read moreI reached out to. The estimate was scheduled promptly and the estimator was friendly but kept pushing drippage rails on us saying it required by NC building codes and we would not get a warranty on the new roof if it was not installed which we found out later was not true. It is RECOMMNEDED but not required by NC building codes. On top of that their estimate was the highest of all the estimates we received and $3,300 higher than the roofing company we went with to install our new roof. That's a lot of money we saved to put into another project on the house. Follow up to owner's comments: If drip rails are required by Nc building code as you claim then why did none of the other estimates we received even mention them?? Much less tell us that we needed them to get the warranty on our new roof? Maybe that why your estimate was so much higher than any of the other estimates we received.

They did a great job on a complex project, that required constructing more pitch for a membrane roof, in addition to replacing the main roof and repairing a rotten soffit. The crew was delightful and careful about our plants (I have a lot of plants). They left the place clean, they double-checked my gravel driveway for nails with their magnet, and they followed up with all the warranty info for my files. Top notch folks.

Several days later he showed up with and installed the correct part. Before leaving I explained that my app showed power from my panels going ONLY out to the grid - not recharging the batteries of powering our home. the tech said it could take a couple of hours to reset...that was more than 48 hours ago. My CSR seems to be ghosting me. We are now at 2 weeks where our system is not producing/operating properly. As someone said earlier the "service side leaves much to be desired.". Renu's service department is slow to respond and doesn't follow up when promised. Update: Tech Bobby Brown arrived yesterday and seems to have fixed the issue. He worked on some high voltage stuff whilst I held an umbrella for him in a steady rain. I very much appreciated Bobby's efforts. That said, this warranty repair took too long to complete. Customer service (while very polite and pleasant) did not communicate well and the initial tech came with the wrong part then poo-pooed my concern about energy flow. My system was out of commission for 19 or 20 days which remains unacceptable. I am raising my rating to 3 stars from 2 with the hope that this was a one-off issue and that I'll be able to raise my rating more in the future.

I want to share my story so anyone interested in solar knows the other side. My first year solar production was 57% less than contracted rates. I received 43% of what I paid nearly $40,000 for. I have a contract that states my solar would produce 9602kWh (after change order) for a system that was installed and turned on in October 2024. In July, we knew we were never going to meet that number and something was wrong with the system. We attempted to call several times before I finally emailed multiple leaders at Renu Energy Solutions asking for help on 7/23. What I got was a response from Ariel proving my system was under production and constant disregard of my requests to have someone fix it. We are now 3 months into asking for help and not a single person from Renu has agreed to fix the solar, step foot on my property to look at the solar, or even speak with me on the phone. I believe they have no intent on delivering the production values they quote and use their "we'll pay your Duke bills" guarantee to profit on over charging for an outcome they don't intend to deliver on.This was my experience, which may be a one-off or a change in how the company is run. I can't speak to that, but I can speak to what is currently happening to my household at the time of this review
