I requested the cleaning of my one bedroom and one bathroom home. Christy responded promptly to my…read moreinquiry via Yelp and stated she could provide service the day I requested it. She and another lady arrived to complete the service on time. She emphasized on arrival that they were heavily booked today and seemed a bit anxious. I thanked her for scheduling me. Out of respect for their time, I showed them around quickly, and they got to work cleaning. I left the house with my dog for a bit, though they said we could stay to minimize interference. Within an hour to an hour and a half, they were done. The cost was $140. When I came back, everything looked okay at first glance. However, later, I found debris still in the corners. The water was dirty when I mopped my floor a week later. For context, I have a tiny dog whose paws get wiped on entry. I don't wear shoes in the home, and I work out of town and am out most of the day on the days I'm home, so there is not a lot of foot traffic in the home. I'm unsure if the home didn't get the attention needed because of their busy schedule or because it stressed her, but attention to detail is critical in the cleaning business. If proper attention can't be given to a home, it's better to reschedule than leave the job somewhat undone.

She was quick to respond to my request for a quote and had availability for the date and time frame I needed. My realtor was impressed at how thoroughly the home was cleaned and said it smelled fresh. Later, I was told that the buyer was extremely impressed and grateful for how thoroughly the home was cleaned. It was worth every penny we paid-- and by the way, her price for a move out clean was on par for this level of service!

Started getting estimates to replace my 25+ year old roof and Solid Roofing was one roofing company…read moreI reached out to. The estimate was scheduled promptly and the estimator was friendly but kept pushing drippage rails on us saying it required by NC building codes and we would not get a warranty on the new roof if it was not installed which we found out later was not true. It is RECOMMNEDED but not required by NC building codes. On top of that their estimate was the highest of all the estimates we received and $3,300 higher than the roofing company we went with to install our new roof. That's a lot of money we saved to put into another project on the house. Follow up to owner's comments: If drip rails are required by Nc building code as you claim then why did none of the other estimates we received even mention them?? Much less tell us that we needed them to get the warranty on our new roof? Maybe that why your estimate was so much higher than any of the other estimates we received.

I had it removed as a…read moreprecaution then an ill wind comes through blowing no good and plenty of it... tearing up shingles and other nonsense :-\ I made some calls and John came out and had a look, took a whole bunch of pictures, came back to meet with the adjuster and kept the whole thing moving along... John explained what was involved: synthetic underlayment, ice and water barrier, ridge vent, drip edge, a couple sheets of decking and a day and a half later the whole thing looks good as new - because it is! They cleaned up nice too; no scraps or bit or pieces or wrappers or anything laying around; a little raking, some blowering, and a couple guys did a couple passes with the nail finders and the place looks a little better than when they showed up. Good news/bad news: they do such nice work that I'm probably never going to see these guys again.
