Really clean and good shower changing lockers and restroom areas.

I went here for the first time today for recreational swim and I had an excellent experience. The recreational swim area is great for kids, beginners, cardio, those in training and lap swim lanes are good for moderate to advanced swimmers. There is a pace clock and diving boards for lap swim. Just FYI the recreational swim and lap swim have different hours. The facility offers seasonal membership plans will be a good deal for regular swimmers, the recreational swim area is only open in the summer. Families and kids and summer school programs can make great use of the facility. There was plenty of lifeguards on duty and helpful staff and clean good shower changing rooms the pool was a good temperature. Certainly an asset for the City of Mountain View. They do hold events like Friday night family party themed nights. Highly recommended.

We just rented the eagle park pool for a class party and it was amazing! The 3-4feet pool was perfect for kids and a great size for everyone to have fun. Proficient swimmers were allowed to swim in the lap pool which meant even parents got to swim! The pool was heated perfectly at 78-80F and lifeguards on duty did a great job keeping all the kids safe. Picnic tables are a little bit on the older side but they worked fine. We all brought picnic blankets to lay our stuff out. It was an amazing afternoon!

Clean pool with lifeguards, great price for families. If you plan on going often the membership is a good deal.

I would say its quite crowded during lap swim hours and I have had to split a lane and even circle swim a few times.

My best estimate is that I have been swimming with MVM for almost 20 years. After college I left the pool for about 10 years and then rediscovered my love of swimming as a MVM Masters Swimmer. MVM is a large team that offers multiple workouts each morning at the Eagle Park pool (or the Rengstorff Park pool when Eagle Park is down for maintenance.) I'm pretty sure that the MVM membership also gives the swimmers access to the pools during the city's open swim periods as well. It has been my experience that MVM coaches are all experienced swimmers and very approachable. They are not swim instructors (although they are likely qualified to be instructors) but they will happily evaluate your stroke and provide you with constructive tips and guidance. If you are new to Masters ... you will learn that Masters swimmers are all different and they swim for different reasons ... fitness, pool competition, tri competitions, open water races and social reasons. If you have questions or doubts about the program I encourage you to just stop in during a morning workout and chat with one of the coaches ... or even one of the swimmers. (I recommend that you bring a suit because you will likely want to jump in.) MVM swimmers include a few former Olympians, several former collegiate swimmers, many former HS swimmers, lots of experienced open water swimmers, an endless number of triathletes and a healthy number of entry level swimmers having no competitive experience. The beauty is that you swim with people your own skill level and there is no pressure to jump in with a former Olympian if you are not ready for that. MVM is also a "social club." While I rarely join the social activities I am glad they are hosted and I have greatly enjoyed the few events I attended. Some of the events include team dinners, San Jose Giants baseball games, team picnics, beer nights, wine tasting, swim meets, etc. Finally, I have made some great friends at MVM and while I greatly enjoy my swims I also enjoy the "mandatory" post swim coffee with my teammates before heading off to work.

I've used MVM both for private lessons and for workouts when SC Master's is closed for pool maintenance. The workouts are held 7 days a week at various hours in the early morning (5am-7 or 8am). Each workout is for adult swimmers of all abilities, which can be good or bad. Personally, I prefer having workouts specifically catered to my level. My biggest beef is with the coaches. They aren't very solid. They may be excellent swimmers, but being able to analyze every part of a stroke and explain things to others is a whole 'nother skill set that these coaches just aren't great at. Additionally, during the workouts it's more than likely that you aren't going to get any feedback. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and it bothers me that I'm paying $10/workout (I think it's $50/month for residents or $80/10 swims) to just to a swim set with no feedback. I can do that on my own for a lot cheaper at a gym pool. Life is too short to spend endless hours at a bad Master's swim program. If you live south of MV, go to Santa Clara's program. If you live north, go to Stanford's.

I do a 180 turn and go back up the road, checking out a low, long swinging white metal gate, similar to what you see at border crossings, with a sign saying Cupertino Hills Swim & Racquet Club. Except no guard house at the border crossing gate. I go up the hill and over the crest, and reach Nirvana -a beautiful Olympic size swimming pool, with a clubhouse, and six tennis courts, complete with landscaping. The lot is filled with late model Mercedes, Lexus, Acuras, Porsches, and BMWs -my 1998 Honda Civic sedan with 178k miles is the oldest in the lot, and is mistaken for the Club ball boys's car. Turns out that the other 5 tennis courts were occupied as early as 7am, by club members with the keys to the gate. We start play on court 6, the worst of the courts, due to half in and half out of the shade -balls disappear in the shadows. A player opens up a can of penn tennis balls, and one ball is flat. You must have bought that at Costco! 15 minutes into the match, a net player pounds an overhead into the ground, and the ball goes over the end fence into the alley. 30 minutes later, another overhead, this time the balls goes over the alley and lands in the private property of the residences next door. A dog chases it, and holds it proudly in its mouth, saliva covering the ball. That's yours buddy! 90 minutes later, I leave the court, and recognize the 4 players on the next court, as being long time, no see, buddies from Sunnyvale Tennis Club in the 1980s!
