Horrible experience with Jean Gebhard! My previous Dr. moved to another practice and I needed refills before meeting with my new primary care physician and they gave me this rude nurse practitioner. instead of focusing on my refills, she pointed out prescriptions from past surgeries that were controlled substances that are history and none of her business. Totally out of line and insulting. I'll be finding a new practice. read more

My Primary Care provider was Dr. Anne Butler. It feels like being fired from a job when your doctor announces that she is moving to Florida. Five years, six doctors, St Marys and Renown Reno, Tahoe Medical Center, and a horrible experience at Northern Nevada Medical Center. Truckee Meadows is no longer a great place to live with limited medical resources available. read more

I like this place, they're all very friendly, fast, courtesy. I did my blood test here also and more than twice, they're always friendly, eventhough they're just by themselves working due the short staff, but never I got the bad experience here. The upstairs employees or nurses also are very friendly and helpful. The inside is very clean and I like it here because it's not that huge medical center building. I also got my booster here, and the front desk lady was very polite and friendly. Not just towards me but to everyone. read more

This is a great medical facility. I come here for imaging services, like MRIs, CRTs or ultrasounds. Also I got all my immunizations here too. The staff is friendly and not all crabby like some places. Still need to mask up as this is a medical facility. Tip: make an appointment and you'll wait way less. I've never had a long wait here. read more

The billing department is the worst. They don't deserve even a single rating. Zero.. in my opinion. Elizabeth is extremely unprofessional. When I asked for a Manager Supervisor, she falsely represented herself as such. Elizabeth was fully aware that I was going to report and make a complaint against her. I had tried monthly to communicate with her and another billing employee, Dallas, without any success in getting my bill resolved. Her resolution was to send me falsely to collections because Elizabeth is an inexperienced employee with a very poor reputation and fraudulently claims to be an experienced billing/ claims representative. Warning to anyone else who has to deal with such an incompetent billing staff. read more

My family has been going to Carson Tahoe Medical Group since 2002. They are amazing and because they are connected to the hospital all of your records can be transferred back-and-forth. The only reason I keep coming here is my provider and her MA. The rest of the staff is rude and very unhelpful. More than once I've run out of medication due to neglect on their end and have to just deal with it until they can get around to it. It takes forever to get a hold of someone on the phone and days to get a response through the patient portal. read more

Service by doctor, Ralph Herbig, is excellent! The business office? They are the most clueless people! I went for biometrics as required by my employer, did a follow up with the results, and have been receiving bills for something that is covered 100% by my insurance! In short, they coded the services wrong, continue to code the services wrong, and now I've received four billings that should not have been sent! I'm still fighting with them, and will contact my insurance to see if maybe they can set the record straight with this group. read more

I was so happy to move to this area and visit a Dr office that seemed like it wanted me as a patient. This went well for the first couple visits. The went downhill very quickly. The first issue was communication. The pharmacy had a problem with the way my prescription was written. They said they had been in contact with the office to solve the problem after 4 days I called them, and they said the office had not responded too their requests for clarification. So, I called and got the phones service person, told them about the problem and was told they would pass this on to the correct people. 2 more days went by and nothing. I called the service again and talked with different person and they said they had no idea what I was talking about. So, I drove to Carson 30-minute drive! Walked into the receiving desk I guess you would call it and told them what was going on. They seemed surprised but assured me they would take care of the problem. At this point I had been with out medications for almost two weeks. I assured them I was not leaving until the problem was solved. After about ten minutes an assistant came out and told me they had talked with the pharmacy, and it was solved. So, then I went to the pharmacy and waited another 4 hours for the prescription to be filled. With drive time and phone time it basically cost me a day just to get the problem solved! These types of problems have been going on for several months and this is only one instance of not being called back or when I can they have no idea of my problem or issue. Next was I needed labs ordered prior to my next visit with the Dr again called and waited a few days and no answer. This went on for over a week and a half. I found some other reasons to drive to Carson and stopped by the office to become a nuisance until I could get the order for labs. After ten minutes an assistant came out with the order and was clearly annoyed. Good! Figured while I was there I might as well schedule the appointment for a week after the labs. I find out an appointment is at least three weeks out. Great this is the week I run out of meds so now I must wait to get the labs so I can fast and time it with the meds that I am taking because I need to do the labs 7 days after my last dose. I try to work with the staff and explain the situation to them. Success, instead of waiting three weeks to see the Dr I now get to wait 2 and a half weeks. At this point I have pretty much had it. So, I figure if anyone can cut through this crap the Dr can. So, I go home and type out a letter explaining to the Dr what is happening and can they help. I print the letter and put it into a sealed envelope and then clearly print the Dr name on the sealed envelope. Drive to the office again and hand it to the person behind the counter. She takes the envelope and makes a motion like she is going to open it. I said that letter if for the Dr and the Dr is meant to open it. Guess next time I will mail it so it's a federal offence when someone in the office opens the Drs mail and throws it away. The letter was a private communication between me and the Dr. Does HPPA even count here? So fast forward to the appointment and after waiting an hour I finally get into the exam room. All other patients waiting in the waiting room (that had arrived after me) had gone before me and none of them were seeing my Dr. So, I finally get into the room and after a time the Doctor comes in and we start talking. I explain the communication issues I have been having and the Dr does not really answer me. Then I ask did you see the letter I sent? I get a deer in the headlight look. No, they had not seen my letter (attempt at communicating). Then the Dr falls back on well did you try the APP. Yes, I downloaded it several months ago and had trouble setting it up. It kept failing when I entered information. I emailed tech support twice and still could not get it to work. When the appointment was almost done the Dr said wait right here and I will get someone from tech support to help you. After about five minutes the assistant came in and said I could leave. I told her I was waiting for tech support. She said I would have to wait upfront because she needed the room. I was reluctant to go back up front because I felt it was the only leverage, I had to help get my issues solved. Once I get up front I am asked if I would like to schedule my appointment for three months ahead. Hell yeah, I am learning now that could save me extra trips into Carson at $5.80 a gallon and a bunch of frustration. We get the appointment scheduled and then I am looked at like you can leave. I told her that I was wanted to get some tech support to help me with the app so I would have fewer issues (communicating). One eye roll later and she prints out the instructions and hands me a brochure for the app. I leave. During this entire visit I was asked four times if I had a colonoscopy.
