We have a home in northern California (bear country-see where I am going here) we have glass break and contacts on all of the doors. We have 3 cameras, 2 facing the main living space so there is no way the video could not record movement and/or motion. On Sunday we received a call from our neighbor that a bear had broken in, pushing in the back sliding glass door to the master bedroom, proceeded to have a party in my kitchen, and used the hot tub outside as a trampoline, kitchen items strewn throughout the back yard. Upon further review and looking at our ADT Pulse Online access, we saw the glass break was detected on 10/17 at 10:58pm twice! We did not receive a phone call or text message, the authorities were not called and no video was taken. We do not live in CA full time, hence the reason for ADT. My husband went out, for a 3-day trip to survey the damage, get the insurance claim filed and board up the house (we live in the Midwest) When I called ADT they scheduled an appointment for a time when we were available. I then receive a text message 10min before the window was to end that they were rescheduling us to the day after he was going to be gone. I called to ask about it - the agent hung up on me, (after a 40min wait), he also deleted any notes of the call (of course). I am very irritated. If ADT isn't providing the basic service that is their sole purpose; notifying when there is a security issue and cannot send a technician when there is a clear transmission issue - what is the point? Needless to say - disconnecting service and going with Vivint.

I explained to the girl on the telephone what the situation was and the call was expedited. Tim the AAA technician arrived in minutes. My dog was tired and scared so Tim did this while I kept a distance holding on to a skittish dog. Tim was prompt, polite and professional and after a terribly stressful situation I was overjoyed to experience a little dose of kindness. Please let him know that his happy smile and jovial disposition turned a bad situation around. That was a gift.
