This is my favourite steakhouse in Melbourne. Extremely friendly staff. Emilio makes you feel like…read morefamily, and goes out of his way to make sure you have a special night. He cooks steak to perfection. As I understand he also cuts the meat himself too. I'd highly recommend the Eye Fillet set, cooked rare. Get the ribs for entree and your choice of dessert. The béarnaise sauce is fantastic with steak, chips and sides. Also, they make an unforgettable coleslaw/cabbage salad. I keep coming back because I love the fantastic food and family-like service!

Not sure why it has taken me so long... perhaps because nothing was really SUPER amazing or SUPER bad about this place... for us anyhow. We had a pretty good normal kind of experience here... it was not mind blowing and I think the steak was a little undercooked. Service - very friendly and attentive. Food came out very quick. Bread & Butter beginning course - something in that butter was unique but we could not put our fingers on what it was - it was very tasty. I ordered the Scotch fillet and my friend ordered some the Graziers paddock choice rib eye. We both asked for medium rare. In a very short time the steaks were presented and looked quite good. My main issue was that mine was almost bordering rare (instead of medium rare) and my friends steak (which was ALOT larger) was pretty much rare... they had obviously cooked both cuts of meat for the same amount of time but due to the size of the rib eye that one came out rarer in the end. We both got a mushroom sauce also, I found it to be a little bit too creamy for my liking but my friend loved it and finished mine off very easy. Greek salad and chips were fine. All in all a very filling meal... the hospitality from the chef and waitresses was outstanding. My steak was pretty nice but I think my friends steak was a bit too rare, however he is not really one to complain about food while we are out (his choice I guess) so... I think I'll give 3 starts for this visit :)

Harvest Wine & Liquor Store is the quintessential boutique alcohol shop. It stocks almost every…read moreboutique beer you can imagine from Australia and around the world (Europe in particular), a range of top quality wines (including preservative free, organic and biodynamic) and a good range of top shelf spirits and liqueurs. It is certainly not a cheap place where you would go to pick up a case before heading off to a party or barbeque. But if you want serious quality or have a particular taste for quality booze then Harvest is the place for you. The man who owns and works at Harvest is very very knowledgeable and friendly. He is passionate about quality liquor and wants to pass on his knowledge to anyone who wants it. Harvest is also a great place to go to buy presents for friends and family who enjoy a good beverage from time to time. And they also stock a range of class European canned beers for those who are heading to festivals like Meredith and Golden Plains and don't want to drink either VB or Carlton Draught.

Stocking an incredible range of wines, beers, ciders, spirits and more, Harvest Wine & Liquor is hands down the best off license in the area and boasts probably the best range of organic wine that I've yet found in Melbourne. As well as retailing, Harvest Wine & Liquor arranges roughly two tastings a month either within the shop itself or at neighbouring High Street bars, and there are invariably excellent offers available on the night on bottles of cider and wine. Predictably, Harvest Wine & Liquor isn't cheap. This isn't the place to nab yourself cheap cleanskin or cooking wine. But if you're looking for an excellent selection of high quality booze, Harvest Wine & Liquor is the place to go. Bar none.

The supermarket end is always well stocked, the qaulity of produce both fresh and aged impeccable, and you can get just about anything you're after. Which is a relief if you've ever been to a bodgy supermarket that is scant in offerings, and leaves you a slightly depressed. In fact Boccaccio is the complete opposite; a happy place that's always chockers with an incredible range. The Cheese section is enormous for the shop of it's size, the deli is on par, fruits and veggies are all there, and all in great fresh qaulity; the layout of the shop and selection of items are well thought out and chosen well. Boccaccio, both for the cellars and it's supermarket are absolute first rate when it comes to qaulity shopping with extensive and well sought range and breadth of fresh groceries of every kind. The supa Iga has you covered for: produce, green groceries, cheese, meat, and everything else, it's incredible; I don't think I've found another supermarket that can match it. It's worth noting here the most integral decision for choosing to visit- that it's not any of the big two supermarkets. Onto the bottle shop ergo the actual cellars; a brilliant offering of high qaulity wines of all kinds, beers, spirits which are broken down wonderfully into their respective categories, and any other form of bloody decent tipple you may fancy. in short all the alco-wholes, done very well.
