My family had used Chad in the past, and they recommended him and Eager Beaver. Chad came over and told me not to worry about my deductible because he was going to mark up the job to $7000 so everything would be free. He tried to get me to commit insurance fraud and I didn't feel comfortable with that so I started looking around for another quote. Chad showed up while I wasn't home and started clearing my back fence for the trucks on a job I hadn't given him the go-ahead on. He broke the planters my grandfather built before he passed and tore up my fence. He was also incredibly pushy and used a lot of intimidation to try and get me to commit this fraud and do the job: "Right now, don't think about it, just do it." My new quote was for $ 1,000 for the tree. I will never recommend Chad. read more

If I could give less than one star I would! We called this man out and he charged us an exorbitant amount to cut up some brush! 800 bucks and he wanted it in cash! That should have been our first clue. He said that he had to buy a new shredder. I would never recommend them to anyone. He will screw you over and then he's getting cash so he doesn't have to report it to the government on his income. We shouldn't be having to pay for his new equipment with one batch of shredding tiny branches and leaves. I didn't want to use him but my husband did. If I looked at the reviews ahead of time I would have never have used them. Be cautious, if they ask for cash don't use them. read more

My parents used Chad before on a job, so it seemed logical to invite him back to chop up some branches from a fallen tree. They asked how much it would be and he didn't say, but stated that he would, "cut them a deal." When the job was done, they were charged $800 for 2 hours of work and were told to pay cash. Called to have a tree dropped. Agreed upon a price. Guy promised to cone out that week, never came out. Called again, he promised to come the next week, never came out. Called one more time, never returned the call. Called B1 Tree Service, they came out when promised, dropped the tree. DONE! I would not recommend Eager Beaver Tree Service to anyone! read more

Chad at Eager Beaver Tree Service took advantage of my mother and took two axes that my father has owned his whole life in exchange for a load of mostly leaves and a little bit of mulch. When the rightful owner contacted him the same day and requested his axes back, with the promise of cash for the mulch, Chad said he would return them over the phone. It had been two days, and now he has texted refusing to return them. The axes are sentimental and monetarily valuable as they belonged to my late grandfather. Do not trust Chad to fulfill his word. I posted this review to Facebook, Chad asked me to call him, promptly blocked my number without speaking to me and threatened to sue me over messenger. Terribly unprofessional and rude. read more

Chad did work for us about 9 years ago. I called him for an estimate to possibly do some work recently. He was working and going to come over for a quote in a few hours. I happened to be out in the neighborhood and found another tree service who quoted me a fair price, and they could cut the tree down immediately, so I went with them, instead of waiting on a bid from Eager Beaver. I was courteous enough to call Chad back and explain that I did not need his quote, so he wouldn't have to waste his time. I have some other tree work I want done, so I gave Chad a call back to give him an opportunity to quote a job. I told him that I tentatively(no contract)have a tree service, possibly, doing the work in the fall. He actually called me a flake for using another tree service and said he prefers to work for people who only use him, exclusively, and then he hung up on me! How rude, unprofessional and childish...your Eager Beaver business is a tree service, not a spouse! I'm not loyal when it comes to anyone cutting a tree down, or some limbs off a tree...who ever is the fairest price wins the job, and Chad, YOU LOSE!!! I NEVER tell any other professional tree services who are bidding on work for my property the "other" guys price, so they can underbid...that would not be good business, or a fair way to get a fair price. Best price wins, as far as I'm concerned, and until my trees are actually being cut down, any professional tree service that wants to bid on my property is more than welcome to give it their best shot!!
