Dr Farmer and the staff at Eado Vet are amazing. They are extremely busy however I have found that they will make time for your pet if you have a more urgent concern. My two dogs have been going here for many years. They have seen us through annuals, incontinence, dental cleans, bumps, scrapes, and now cancer. Dr Farmer himself responds to my emails and when you visit he spends considerable time with you and your pets. There have been a couple of times he wasn't able to fit us in so he referred us to another clinic. As long as I am in the Houston area I will take my pets here. The vet and staff were very nice, but I was not impressed. I transferred my cat that has seizures to this clinic and I waited for an hour to be seen when I was early. It seems veterinarians have taken the playbook from human insurance industry and have streamlined appointments to make them more profitable rather than thorough. We spent most of our time with technicians and 10 minutes with the doctor despite a hefty exam fee. They also require a deposit upfront before booking an appointment. The vet did not use a stethoscope, otoscope, ophthalmoscope, or even palpated my cat or checked her nails - which needed to be cut. I had to ask the technician to look at my cat's ears. I expected bloodwork to be done being that my cat was a new patient and her seizure medication can be hard on her liver and kidneys, but it wasn't requested. Fine, maybe the doctor looked at her previous records and felt confident making that call. If the lack of thoroughness wasn't disappointing enough, they called in her prescription for seizure medication to CVS (controlled substance), but there was an issue with the pharmacy over the weekend. Eado Vet is closed on the weekends and my cat was without seizure medication for a whole day. They don't have an answering service and I called and left 2 voicemails, emailed, and even messaged them on instagram. I resorted to calling an emergency vet (which is an astronomical cost) to get my cat seen so she could get some medication. I was on the phone with an ER vet when I got a call from CVS. A doctor from Eado Vet had called and resolved the issue, but the vet did not call and talk to me to let me know that. I had hear it from CVS. My first visit with Eado Vet was about $300 (annual vaccinations and first time visit) for 10 minutes with a vet and issues with medication for a life-threatening condition that could have cost me far more if I had to take her to emergency vet just for medication simply because they aren't open on the weekends or have an answering service. Transferring vets with a cat that has seizures taking a controlled substance isn't easy. I need a vet that I can feel confident will treat her throughly and become familiar with her issues and that is available for medication/pharmacy issues without having to resort to hunting them down on social media. Vets aren't subject to human insurance industry but Eado Vet conducts itself as if it were. I hope my experience was an isolated event, but I highly doubt it. read more

Recently adopted a kitten named Meatball and took him to Dr. Farmer to give him his first general check up. Dr. Farmer and his staff's passion for animals is immediately obvious. Setting up the appointment was easy, the staff was very friendly and Meatball was able to be seen the next morning. Upon arriving there was virtually no wait time, and while Meatball was a little nervous, the nurse and Dr. Farmer did a great job calming him down and after a minute they were basically Meatball's best friends. Will continue to take Meatball here in the future and if you're in the area and looking for a vet I recommend you give them a look! read more

Dr. Farmer is very kind and patient towards the animals. All of his staff are friendly and helpful. UPDATE: We have been taking our dogs here for the past three years. Dr. Farmer is great but the office seem short staffed. We have experienced this on multiple occasions. The straw that broke the camel's back is that our little pup is suffering right now from severe symptoms and I tried calling multiple times to ask for help. My voicemail was unreturned, even though it was left during operating hours and today when I showed up at 7:30am because I couldn't get a hold of anyone on the phone, I was told that they could maybe do a drop in for me in between surgeries, but was unable to give me an appointment. They should have returned my call and told me that few days before. When your dog is sick but unable to tell you what's wrong, the one thing you want to count on is having a vet who is at least responsive and compassionate. You want to be able to make an appointment with the doctor who you consider to be the primary doctor of your fur baby. I found the lack of response and unconcerned staff unacceptable, even if the doctor is good. read more

I went here to get a second opinion on my dogs heart condition. The visit went well. But the vet told me to take her heart rate every night then send them results. I did. Never received a response. I called to follow up and they said they would get back to me. They never did. I called to get her medication and then never called me back. They never once called me back to follow up on ANYTHING. Dr. Farmer has been awesome - Answering emails when he's out of town, during the weekend, after closing hours - I really couldn't be happier. Being that I work nights, it was awesome to be able to get in touch with Dr. Farmer when I needed him. EaDo is so much more affordable than my prior vet, and I believe the care is more personalized and comprehensive. There's no upselling, just pure integrity. They took care of every concern and question, and even corrected what my last vet had told me, educating on why their method was better for the health of my dog. Lab results were very timely, which is very important when you have a sick pet that needs treatment asap. My only constructive comments would be to try to improve communication with the receptionist staff. A couple times I called and they told me they would call me back, and I had to call them back right before closing times to check in before the day was over because I never got a call back, and in one instance I had to email more than once to get responses about needing bills, paperwork for insurance, etc. In this instance they didn't let me know that they had done what I had requested, so I was kind of in the dark on whether the email got read or forgotten. Make sure you're looking for the building cause the signage from the street it pretty small! Fortunately, I saw this place while going to Nancy's Hustle to eat (which is right next door) so I remembered where it was. Parking is a little tricky as well. There is a shared parking lot but the parking signs were a little intimidating. It says they are for tenants only, there are some condos right next door, so I wasn't quite sure if it was ok to park there. Decided on street parking to play it safe. Dr. Farmer was cool. Chatted with him for only a few minutes while he showed me the results of some ear swabs for my dog. We got some meds and were out within an hour. Prices were moderate, but the service was good. I discovered this amazing Vet after my prior Vet raised their fees, was always trying to "upsell" me to the much more expensive flea/tick medication and refused to transfer my pets prescriptions to be filled by an online pharmacy (at a sometimes significant price difference). The entire staff here and Dr. Farmer are AMAZING - no rushing pets in and out m, they take time to pay attention to your baby and listen to your concerns. I started going to Dr. Farmer in 2016 when he was at Harrisburg Vet Clinic. When he opened the EaDo clinic I followed him there without hesitation. Hands down, Dr. Farmer's practice provides the best veterinary service I've ever experienced. The staff is competent, compassionate and professional. Dr. Farmer goes out of his way to care for the animals brought into his clinic, as well as the pet owners. In the time we have been using Dr. Farmer's practice we have had to put down 2 dogs. This is a difficult decision for any pet owner, but he made the experience as comfortable and peaceful as it could be. This clinic has taken care of my two cats very well. We are very pleased with the service and care.

This vet and his assistant told me my cat bit him with no warning. He said he got urine and checked his heart. At the time I didn't know how they took urine. If my cat was held properly there is no reason his foot should be cut. They never mentioned that or how it happened. My cat pooped himself and they just left the poop in the crate with him. They gave me nothing to clean it with so I had to drive my cat home with poop in his carrier. Good vets would clean out the poop. If my cat was upset they could have worn gloves or waited to calm down atleast give me something to clean with. I'd be freaked too if a needle was stuck in me by a stranger. He said my cat needed to be gassed. He has been to many vets in his like due to skin issues and anxiety. They have all loved him. When I got home I noticed something on his paw and thought it was poop. When I went to clean it I noticed it was blood. I was curious, but then he was cleaning in between his toes and I saw that in between his toes he had blood and some kind if cut. What went on in there? I had to wait in my car. Even though my cat bit him there should be an information on how and why my animal got hurt. I won't be going back. Get a new assistant or a new vet. read more

Just moved to the area, yelp reviews were solid so I came to check it out. Great effective service, clean and classy. Second time coming in here was today, in an emergency situation with my dog acting like he was drunk. Very scary. Dr. Farmer got to the root of the problem by knowing exactly how to get my French bulldog back to normal within a few hours. I am so incredibly thankful. His sincere care for his patients is at the core of this business. He and his colleagues at EaDo Vet are professional, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and courteous. The vet passes any complaints to the person who answered the phone. As the manager take ownership for your bad advice and bad training. We took our Shiba in there, after several calls about the Shiba scream to make sure that they know the breed and that they know they scream even if you look at the wrong. Started to get the nails trimmed and our Shiba started screaming like normal, and he comes in once doesn't say anything. Come in a second time and says we have to stop or sedate our dog with out even asking the history. Our dog has a heart condition that does not allowed sedation is what we have been told in the past. At this point he just said "you can just leave." ZERO costumer service from the vet. What a terrible boss. If you cannot train the people who answer then phone to give your clients real information, than you shouldn't be able to say, "Well that is what the person on the phone said not me." Take owner ship for your bad training and excuses. Great bosses don't make excuses they come up with solutions. Who do you think the receptionist asked when we said it was a Shiba and they scream a lot? If the receptionist asked anyone other than the vet you are a bad trainer, and a bad leader. We will never be back and NEVER recommend this vet to any person read more

We were visiting family with our 2 "greyhound children" and one of them fell on the stairs and broke her nail off. We called Eado vet clinic upon our daughter's recommendation and were able to be seen the same day. Dr Farmer and staff were so caring and compassionate. I recently adopted a second cat earlier this year and unfortunately he already had FHV, so it caused my other indoor cat to contract the virus. Going by the rating on Yelp, I brought my cat Sonya (who now has the virus due to the new kitten) in and Dr. Farmer was soooo caring. He knew Sonya was not well and could tell how great of a kitty she is for having to do x rays and blood work. We tried a few different things without jumping to conclusion she had the virus. More symptoms came up and he was able to give me what I needed to help Sonya out. The main reason I'm writing this review is because the three times I brought her in, he asked me to email him or call to keep him updated. I did need to email him and call at all sorts of time but he always responded and the staff always got back to me when I was in need. Dr. Farmer is so great with our big, anxious American Bulldog. He comes into the room and starts petting her right away. Our dog barks a lot and it can scare some people, but no one at the clinic is bothered. The service is excellent. It only takes a couple of days to get an appointment, but if she's really sick they work us in same day. We've gone to Dr. Farmer for many different things (allergies, diarrhea, skin rash, ear infection, eye infection) and we're always very happy with the results and quality of service. Dr. Farmer has worked closely with us on combatting our dog's allergies and while we are still in the process of figuring out exactly what Lee is allergic to, we no longer have to give her allergy medicine everyday. I've been going to Dr. Farmer for at least 2 years now and he's always been exceptionally kind and caring to my two dogs (one of them has severe food allergies). I recently had to put down a family dog. For context, I have an autistic brother who was having a difficult time accepting that our beloved golden retriever was going to die soon. He explained his medical opinion on quality life regarding my family dog and allowed my brother to have agency over his emotions and opinion regarding the situation. My brother was able to process this and made a very tough but sensible decision regarding our dog. Dr. Farmer was so kind regarding my family and treated my brother with respect and dignity in such a difficult situation. And of course, he treated our beloved dog with a lot of compassion in the last few moments of his life. I hope there are more veterinarians who can be as kind and considerate to neurodivergant folks as Dr. Farmer is. His ability to take into consideration of my family's needs have helped my mom, brother, and me with our grief and I could not be more grateful. read more

Dr. Farmer is awesome and was super sweet with my basset hound (and impressed by how many tricks he knows!), I love that I can walk to the location from my apartment, and I appreciate that I can call in with questions about medication, etc. and that the front staff are prompt about asking Dr. Farmer what he recommends.
