Mike is an excellent instructor: clear, concise, and uses funny similes to explain EKG interpretation (ex: the heart blocks are like bad relationships; the p wave gets further and further away from the QRS complex until they "break up" and the QRS complex stands her up on a date) I have been going to EA certs for all of my recertifications for 5 years now, and appreciate Mike's teaching style. I usually reserve my class after working a graveyard shift, and somehow never fall asleep with this instructor. Their replies are very timely, and they always confirm if you have received your e-card prior to you leaving the building to avoid any snags. I highly recommend this spot. read more

I purchased an EKG class but no one was there when I showed up. I had also received an email confirmation after purchasing the class so I assumed all was well. I was very frustrated especially because I had driven 45 minutes to get to the location and I called, texted, emailed, and waited an hour in the parking lot in hopes that someone would show up. No one ever did, so I left. It has been 24 hours, and I got an email saying that they refunded my Paypal, but no apology or response to my calls or emails whatsoever. I scheduled my first class, arrived and no one ever showed up.. emailed, texted, called and messaged on Facebook and never received a reply. I left a Yelp review, then 5 mins later I got a call back. We rescheduled my class for Monday at 9am. Again, I show up and no one is there. I call, and got an answer this time.. I was met and given a 1:1 course. I was told to email him my results if my self -assessment and then I would receive my acls card that day. I have now emailed, texted and called and have not received a reply or my cards. I removed my previous bad review because I felt satisfied knowing I was being taken care of.. now I feel out $125 and 4 hours of my time. All I'm asking for is a reply and my acls card. read more

My recertification for both PALS and BLS were due during the COVID-19 pandemic, and EA certs was the only local provider that had a class open for the next day. The fees were comparable to other local AHA listed providers. Registration for the course was completed via text and online, which was easy to navigate through. I appreciated that the class size was small, but social distancing and masks were used. As a pediatric dentist, we don't use many of the PALS concepts in our work setting and the algorithms usually go over my head, but the instructor Mike Z reviewed the material and made it very easy to grasp. He also tailored the review to make it more pertinent to my field of work, and he made the review worth my time. If you're looking for a no fuss, straight-to-the-point but thorough BLS or PALS training, consider EA Certs. I'll be bringing my colleagues here with me every two years! read more

There's free parking behind the building and then just enter through the glass door. Their office is on the second floor. Mike was great. I took my PALS course with Mike just yesterday and I am honestly so glad I came across his site. Mike's ability to explain content and further elaborating following the completion of each section was marvelous.
