To say he does good work is an understatement. To put it simply, his work is stunning. His prices are always reasonable, especially for the quality and service you will receive. He returns your photos promptly, he is easy to contact and quick to respond. During the shoot, he is great at giving directions and makes you feel very comfortable. He has a skilled eye and works quickly and efficiently. After working with him twice in the past, I did not hesitate to hire him for my wedding - that mere fact is one of the highest compliments I can offer. As someone who planned a wedding without a coordinator, I am happy to say he was one of the easiest vendors I worked with. In addition, I don't think this man sat down once during my wedding. We met Nate and Jessi at a Wedding Expo (that we weren't even going to attend, might I add) and from the moment we saw their work we knew they would be one of our top choices. They did a giveaway at the event that we won and we just knew it was meant to be. Immediately, we scheduled a coffee meeting, and as soon as we walked out of the coffee shop, we knew that Nate & Jessi just HAD to be there to capture our wedding. Planning a wedding can be stressful - trying to coordinate vendors, create timelines and be communicative with all who are involved just to name a few. Nate and Jessi truly set themselves apart from other photographers by being involved and willing to share their knowledge with us. From offering sample timelines based on the information I was giving them, reaching out to schedule phone calls/when to check in with them, and even just offering tips & tricks to make planning a little smoother, they made it so easy to work with them. That's when we decided to throw a curve ball at them, we had to cancel the big wedding and decided to elope! A year early, complete change of course and about a month to plan and they made it happen. They went the extra mile for us, they showed up early and scouted out a beach spot and some picture locations. We didn't get the chance to do an engagement shoot and they still made us feel so comfortable taking our pre-ceremony photos. They shot our small ceremony, with about 20 friends and family in attendance and even made it to dinner with us for some more casual shots afterwards. We got married on 8/24/18, a Friday evening, and by Monday morning I had an email with what to look forward to. We were guaranteed a certain timeline and amount of pictures to expect, and I think from that point forward, I checked my email about once an hour every day waiting for a sneak peak of pictures to come. We only had to wait a couple weeks(WOW!!) and for ALL of our photos to arrive. Seriously, we knew they were amazing but they truly blew us away. Our photos were more than we ever could have expected. Our sunset, Lake Tahoe elopement was captured so beautifully behind their lenses. Now, our only problem is that there are TOO MANY good photos to choose from. Nate and Jessi truly met and exceeded all of our expectations, they weren't just our photographers but new friends.

However, that was much easier said than done since our style preference contrasts quite a bit (I preferred light and bright while he preferred moody and earthy). After scouring through instagram accounts after instagram accounts and disagreeing on every single one, we came across Nicola's profile. Her photography was not only the first and only one we'd ever agreed on but her style and artistry immediately captured both our attentions. It was breathtakingly beautiful how she utilizes light and manipulates in a way that cannot be described and the way she can capture the candid almost-raw moments in a couple. We saw couples come to life in her photos and knew we had to have her capture our special day. Nicola photographed both our engagement and wedding day photos and was a nice calm energy to have around in such a chaotic environment. For a couple with quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to photography, she captured the two of us in the most natural manner and we were astonished with the end product. It didn't even occur to us that we were being photographed most of the time! She has proven that no challenge is too difficult to overcome in order to capture a photo, whether it is two very awkward individuals or bringing an indoor cat into the wild for an engagement shoot.
