I was greeted immediately by the front desk receceptionist who smiled and buzzed me in to their private office in the back. I always say the first impression counts because you only get one chance to impress someone. The staff in the back was cordial and attentive. Immediately, one of the young ladies asked me what I was searching for and I mentioned I wanted a round solitaire pendant with a white gold chain. There were so many beautiful diamonds that I glanced upon, that I wished I could've been shopping for myself but I was there for one purpose only and that was to buy a beautiful gift for my best friend. I had been to their website prior to visiting their store and snapped some pictures of what I liked and of the prices that was within my budget. Unfortunately for me, those prices that were depicted on their website were not valid now. Those were prices from years ago and one of the owners told me that they didn't have staff that could update their webpage since I had mentioned that someone should've updated their website so that no one would be confused or disappointed once they travel to their store location. However since I was already there, I decided to at least see what I would be able to afford within my budget on the pieces I was looking forward to, but none of them was within my budget. I did ask for their business card and also a notation of the item I was interested in so that if I do return, I will have a written note of what I had seen today during my first visit at I.D. Jewelry. I can say that all the diamonds that I saw today were exquisite and the staff that attended to me had exemplary customer service skills which means a lot to me when I am treated kindly and respectfully even though I didn't purchase anything, the staff welcomed me back as well as gave me a smile upon leaving. To me those actions taken by their staff and the owner speaks volumes about their character as well as the quality of services they provide to everyone that enters their store. I look forward to returning in the near future knowing that I will be treated with respect and like family plus purchasing top quality genuine diamonds that I won't hesitate to buy from.

Did I do a lot of research? Not really. But Mike seemed genuine, wasn't pushy and didn't give off a "tryna get you" vibe. Their location may not be the easiest to find, since it is on the second floor, but it is close enough to the edge of the Diamond District that you won't have to bob and weave past all the people trying to sell or buy jewelry before getting to the building. Pro-Tip: they have a camera trained at the door to the office, just go to the door and they'll buzz you in. I stood outside for two minutes and double-checked the address before opening the door into an office that is much nicer than the hallway and staircase just outside. I was a walk-in and was helped immediately. He looked over the item and I walked out 10 minutes later with the certificate, printed and laminated on the spot. I was able to download a digital copy for my insurance company the next day using the appraisal number on their site. Painless.
