Unfortunately, the machine was shipped just in time to run into some dicey weather, so it arrived a wee bit frozen (I got the water-cooled option) and some minor leakage due to the machine being tilted a little bit too far. Alen took my call and was super supportive while we waited for the machine to thaw and dry out. I was also helped out by Will and Luis during my time of need! And I was a bit needy. Honestly, the whole team was super supportive. They communicated via chat, text, phone, and mail. Basically, matching whatever method I was using at that moment. I'm glad to report that it has defrosted and it is a thing of beauty. I couldn't be happier!

I've completed multiple shops for this company, and a recurring issue makes the experience…read morefrustrating and unfair. Many times, there are no employees present on the sales floor, or employees are not wearing required name badges. Despite this, Secret Shopper expects detailed employee documentation and penalizes shoppers when that information cannot be provided. Shoppers are instructed to be discreet and not draw attention to themselves, yet we are still expected to magically obtain names when no badge is visible or when staff are inaccessible. When this happens, payment is often canceled or reduced, even though the situation is entirely out of the shopper's control. What's especially discouraging is the tone used in communications. Instead of recognizing that missing staff or policy violations by the store are valid findings, shoppers are treated as if they failed to do their job. A mystery shop is meant to report reality, not manufacture interactions that don't exist. If expectations cannot be met due to store conditions or employee noncompliance, that should reflect on the store, not the shopper. Until that disconnect is addressed, the process feels punitive rather than professional.
