E-Dental is easy to find on Seminole Blvd in Seminole, FL There's pleanty of parking, the waiting area is clean and comfortable. But you can find that in most dental offices. What is special here is that Dr Eckstein ( Dr E) has the latest equipment to give the best results. When I broke a crown, he was quickly able to make a temporary replacement. But the root was very short and gum and bone had to be removed to accomodate a replacement. Dr E wheeled in a new laser that quickly and painlessly removed tissue and bone with zero pain! The only time it hurt for me was when I accidently hit that spot with the waterpic. Still it was no worse that a mild burn from too hot food. We gave it time to heal but preceding that, they used a 3D scanner on a wand that registered the form of all teeth. That was sent to a lab where the made an exact copy. In most cases when you get a crown, there is much drilling and then "bit down and grind" on the dye sheet to find the high spots then grind more.. With the 3D scanner, this crown was as close to perfect as I have ever experienced. If you want painless, if you want a brief time in the chair, go and see Dr E. read more

They need to do better about health insurances, and submit the billing forms instead of billing patients, directly. Seems they could care less if you are interested in them or not. Lack of patient care. read more

I was blamed for the broken temporary and permanent bridge that was made for me by Dr. Paul Eckstein, (not even a year old). When I informed the office about the quality of product and why it was not guaranteed, they proceeded to blame the patient (me) and informed me that I may be charged more money. My most recent experience with Dr. Paul Ecktein and first crown was extremely dissatisfied. First and foremost the fit of the crown was disappointing. It felt uncomfortable and did not properly align with my bite, causing discomfort while eating and speaking, along with severe TMJ. I expressed my concerns to the dentist, but their dismissive attitude and lack of effort to address the issues only added to my frustration. It left me self-conscious and embarrassed to smile. The overall quality of the crown was unacceptable. It failed to fulfill its basic functional purpose of restoring my tooth's integrity and providing a comfortable bite. I expected better craftsmanship and professionalism from a dental practice that claims to offer quality care. To make matters worse, when I attempted to seek a refund and records. In order for me to get a refund they had me sign a form, stating I wouldn't sue. I was in such agony, and needed to have the tooth removed immediately, I did so. I still have yet to receive my records I requested, but advised for my new dentist to request records. I would caution others to seek alternative options for their dental needs. read more

Why 5 stars? I had a crown started and finished in 2 hours. No second appointment, no goop in my mouth! The injection was painless and the staff was amazing. I even got a follow up text and email from the office after the visit just to check on me. I would definitely recommend trying it out if your looking for a dentist in the area. read more

No Pain & Permanent Crowns in 2hrs! I've been loyal to Dr. Eckstein and his team at E-Dental for over 8yrs now. They are always very nice, upbeat, empathetic & knowledgable! It seems that Dr. Eckstein is constantly investing in the newest cosmetic & corrective technologies. Yesterday, he was able to, without any pain, make & permanently implant 2 crowns in about 2hrs & 10 minutes. Watching him work with futuristic software that sent exact models of my teeth to a 3D printer (my guess) was very cool. Dr. Eckstein and his staff have always been great to me! After a check up and cleaning I went back for a filling. Dr. Paul came in and studied my chart and X-rays and announced to me I needed a crown on the adjacent tooth. My bill suddenly went from under 200 dollars to over 1600 dollars. I left with no services done. I went to another dentist, off the beaten path, and had new x-rays and low and behold he found no cavities and no reason to do any dental repairs at this time. I live real close to this dentist, that first reviewer is a tourist. I would not recommend Dr. Paul E for my friends or my dog. The birds can use him. He has lost my trust forever. read more

I can't say enough about Dr E and staff. I had some tight scheduling concerns and they worked with me to accommodate. Which leads me to my next thumbs up... I needed a crown, Dr E had me prepped and scanned with my new crown milling, literally doors away. Then a hygienist, who was nice as nice could be, gave me a thorough cleaning while the crown was made. It was amazing how fast and, not uncomfortable of an experience it was and how happy I am that the crown was done in the same visit! There is one unfortunately thing about Dr E though, he's a Steelers fan. To his credit, I did wear a jets shirt both visits and he didn't even tweak me with a needle! I called to schedule an appointment, and the receptionist wanted to schedule my appointment prior to 6 months before my previous appointment with another dentist because she read our insurance as saying we are authorized 2 visits a year. I explained to her that we are allowed to cleanings a year - 1 every 6 months, no sooner than 6 months. Once we got that cleared up, she scheduled my appointment. She verified they were a provider for our insurance too. When I get to the appointment, she informs me that our insurance may not pay for all the services for that appointment. I ask her why because I know our insurance coverage. She states the previous dentist submitted claims for some of the same services they would provide, and we are only covered once a year for those services. So I ask her to call our insurance to verify whether or not the services will be covered (I know they are authorized to verify probable payment, so everyone knows ahead of time the possible cost involved). The receptionist says she cannot call, she can only submit the claim after they do the work and whatever the insurance does not cover, they will bill me. I ask her kindly in several different ways to please call the insurance company and verify what services will be covered, and she continues to say - she will bill the insurance company once the services are completed, and I will receive a bill for anything the insurance does not cover. When the hygienist comes out to introduce herself and ask if I am ready, I tell her I am not ready because there is an insurance misunderstanding. The receptionist then tells the hygienist there is no problem at all. I explain to the hygienist that I do not want to have the appointment until the receptionist confirms with my insurance regarding coverage, and the hygienist explains to me that they have a schedule to maintain - which is perfectly fair. I then ask the receptionist for the number to my dental insurance company, so I can call. When I call, it is clear that it is not a number for patients - it is for dental offices to call and confirm coverage for services. I finally gave up, cancelled my appointment (for which there was no fee, thank goodness!). I would not recommend this office to anyone. If you are covered by MILITARY dental insurance - BEWARE! They are unable to provide you with coverage information prior to doing the work and billing the insurance. read more

Dr. Paul is one of the best dentists in Tampa Bay. I've seen his work first hand i can simply say AMAZING! his office staff is some of the best around. No wait time,always follow up calls to see how you are doing and always easy to get an appointment. I have sent several people to him and all have the same great things to say.
