In two hours I learned more and saw more than I can ever see on my own. It was such a great experience that me and my three travel companions asked her if we could jump on her afternoon tour of the Accademia. She called the company for us, confirmed we could get tickets and get in, and chatted with us for a while. I was so impressed that any obscure question we asked her she had he answer to. She is incredibly smart. The tour is done with her speaking through an earphone but she consistently checks in to make sure everyone can see and hear. She answers questions, knows interesting facts about the city, and is fluent in three languages including English. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone at this company was kind and helpful. I was sad to see that there were any poor reviews on here because I could not disagree more. So they spent a lot of time training me and making sure I was comfortable on it. Then off we went. Up into the hills of Tuscany. It was a blast. We stopped a couple of times so Alex could explain some things to us about olives and wine. And even some history of the area. It rained a little on us but we didn't mind. The group met up at the shop in the afternoon. Took a van to a castle to pick up helmets and do a tiny bit of wine tasting + olive oil tasting. Then another van ride to pick up the Vespas. We practice driving in the parking lot a few rounds - even the beginner in the group got the hang of it pretty quickly. Then off to hours of scenic riding in the sun-drenched Tuscan countryside amongst giant swaths of rolling vineyards, stony castles, and groves of olive trees with screeching cicadas. Periodically we'd stop for photos and once also a water break. Jason was super knowledgeable and answered all kinds of questions we threw in his direction. I thought it was cool to hear his perspective as someone who moved there 10 years ago who knew all the local stuff but also had an outside view of the history and culture etc. I only wish I had some Euros so I could have given him a tip. The tour felt extremely safe. Can't-miss experience and definitely one of the most memorable and surreal parts of my Italy trip.

On top of that, I have a deathly fear of riding bikes because of past trauma. But for my new husband, anything. Despite how dreary the situation was set up to be, this bike tour with Fat Tire was one of my favorite memories on our honeymoon. We arrived for our 10 AM tour after thinking we were going to be late, but the staff was very accommodating towards everyone. Our tour guide was Raquel, and I grew attached to her. Apparently she's from Florence, and the passion for her city was inspiring. I was enamored by the history lessons. We biked around for about an hour and a half, and she never made me feel like I couldn't keep up. My husband and I saw beautiful landmarks with the rest of our small tour group and went back to visit some of them later on. Though there were parts of the tour where I needed to walk my bike or stop myself from "capsizing" the positive experience helped me overcome my fear!

We got two bikes, helmets, locks and a basket for 60 E. The bikes worked well and we rode them all over Firenze. I tipped my bike over the next day and my basket came off.
