I contacted Take Care CPR and spoke with Denise who had me in the office 2 days later. Not only was she professional and knowledgeable, she was thorough and personable. I was a bit anxious because (it was Friday) my job started the following Monday and I had to show that I was certified, Denise reassured me and made the process on a whole, smoother. Since the other person who was supposed to do the course with me couldn't make it (due to a personal reason), I ended up with a private class and was done within 2.5hrs. I was the only one taking the class so it went by pretty quickly. The instructor is so nice and really explains each topic well. She asks you questions to make sure you understand the content in order to apply it to the emergency situation. Her questions all help with the test at the end. She's friendly and approachable, so don't be afraid to ask questions! The mannequins have become more high tech from when I last did my BLS certification. There's an app that can measure the depth and rate you're performing your compressions. I think that's pretty cool! In terms of cleanliness/infection control, we were wearing masks. I only removed my mask momentarily when I was performing rescue breaths. All equipment was wiped down and disinfected after the course. Hand sanitizer was also available. I felt safe with the proper precautions taken. Overall, I highly recommend getting your certification done here! The whole experience was pleasant.
