We were essentially refused service by the shopkeepers here. The two ladies working ignored us for a few minutes, working as to be understood. Finally the younger lady, visibly frustrated, began to take our order. She snapped at us for not speaking in french. We politely left. My thoughts, if you despise American tourists, fair. I would NEVER treat another human being unfairly or rudely like this lady did to our family. If she comes to America, we will be nice and welcoming. Same as most Parisians. If you are an American tourist reading this, skip this shop! Others on the block are kind and very tasty!

We wanted something simple and seeing that their menu had a coffee and croissant/chocolate pastry special for Euro 2, we decided to just go with this place. The coffee was smooth but very small. We also got that salmon quiche which was only okay. Not a bad place to stop for a snack but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Discovered by accident while seeking breakfast and a place to procure pastries and sandwiches for the flight to facilitate foregoing the airline food for something that would pair well with in-flight wine, and morning coffee. Purchased a few different breads, a salami and cheese sandwich, a smoked salmon sandwich, Kouign Amann, an Apple Tartin, and two cafes. Unbelievable value, and taste with great customer service. Highly recommend venturing away from the touristy areas for the local treasures.

As the name of this business implies, it is a Boulangerie or a Pâtisserie. What this location…read moreoffers is a place to grab a bakery style item and take it to-go. They truly have a lot of stuff that changes daily. They have everything from croissants, to rolls, to a couple of different types of quiches, onto mini pizzas, and bunch of other stuff. The one thing I want to say about this place is that it is owned by individuals of East Indian descent. What this means is that many of the food items they offer have an East Indian flare. For example, I was quite surprised with the taste of the mini pizza I ordered there one time. It looked very traditional but it's flavor was anything but. What I am saying here is, just keep that in mind as you may be surprised at what you get as opposed to what you expect. They don't have any seating at this boulangerie. This is not the type of establishment where you can buy your bakery item and sit down and eat it there. This is a to-go establishment that serves its purpose very well. It's a great place to grab that whatever-bakery style item and take it on the go.

Chocolate almond croissant and chocolate pistachio brioche were also amazinggg. Both were very moist and rich inside and very chocolate-y ;) However, I gotta say the chocolate almond croissant I got in Montreal, Canada is better (lighter and flakier, not so buttery and rich). Plain chocolate croissant was ok, nothing remarkable about it -- I'm pretty surprised by my reaction to that one since I always LOVE chocolate. It just tasted flat (bread was not as flaky and the chocolate boring), compared to other croissants and pastries we tried at the store. Chausson aux Pommes was okay, really too much like normal applesauce plus a crusty shell, nothing great about it at all. I thought it'd be more varied in texture (with slices or bits inside), but it was all pureed. As for savory sandwiches, jambon (ham) & gruyere sandwich was all right but better when warmed. Sauccison (sausage) with pickle was great, definitely better than ham. Espresso is great, very strong and smooth.
