Celebrating my 1000th Review with DZONE Skydiving! I have always wanted to do skydiving but I couldn't find the ultimate push to do it. That all changed this year. I knew I was going to be 56 years old in August and while I love going out for dinner with the family, getting books or Lego, I yearned for something different. I was encouraged by friend who had done skydiving a couple of years and the motivation provided was just what I needed. Specifically, " DO IT" followed by "You won't regret it and pay the extra $$ to have it filmed :)" How could anyone not go through with it after that encouragement. I thought that there was as skydiving outfit in Caldwell but wasn't sure the name. I did a Yelp search that brought me to DZONE Skydiving. They are in Parma, Idaho and Bozeman, Montana I set the date, late in August to make sure I could fly my brother in from Phoenix and the rest of the family would all bear witness to my terminal velocity. I paid the deposit back in mid July and signed all the paperwork. I watched about ten different jumps from their YouTube channel and waited. Then waited and finally the day was here. We left Meridian and made the drive out to Parma I checked in, got fitted for a harness and then got weighed. I was not nervous or anxious, quite the opposite, I was at peace but those words of encouragement lived rent free in mind that day My jumper, David Lakowski, who I was going to be connected to filmed a short video before we got into the specialized airplane. There are no seats in that airplane. You sit on the floor. My back was up against the pilot's chair and we rumbled down the runway and took flight. We gained altitude slowly and the plane rocked back and forth. David explained to me that when he opens the door to put my foot on the step and tuck myself like a banana then we settle, I can extend my arms out. I was wearing a long sleeved shirt but nothing could prepare me for how frigid it was. It was less than 30 degrees and I felt extremely cold. I wish I wore more layers. I put my foot on the ledge and looked around. It really puts a lot into perspective. We are just gnats on this rock. We are so small compared to the world we live in And with that, we tumbled out of the airplane, freefalling about more than 125 miles per hour. Absolutely stunning and beautiful. We fell for only sixty seconds but it felt like ten minutes. David pulled the parachute and we zoomed back up. It is quite the jolt and yank. I got the opportunity to pull the yellow cords to control the flight of the parachute. Freaking awesome. We gently but with some twists and turns descended down. The air and wind was playing with our velocity and the jumper told me to lift my legs up as far as I could. We skidded down on our butts through about a hundred feet of grass before stopping. Wow. What a freaking thrill ride. I highly recommend DZONE for your an once-in-a-lifetime thrill or you really love skydiving on a regular basis, they are your outfitters. Very professional and safe, obviously, I trusted my life to them, and I have the proof of life to prove it. read more

WOW! 2 days after my jump. I'm still buzzing with adrenaline, awe and gratitude. Thank you D Zone Skydiving, for one of the most exhilarating experiences of my 72 years. D-Zone crew was great, professional andfun. 2nd jump with them in 3 years. Never gets old, will jump with them again and recommend them to everyone. Tandem with Drew, who added to the fun of jumping. Drew was professional and fun as well. Plan on at least an hour and a half to two hours down time from your scheduled time to actual jump. Bring snacks, drinks. Pass time visiting with fellow jumpers non jumpers and dzone crew. Another kick ass jump! Thanks dzone crew. read more

I went for my 18th birthday and everyone there was sooo awesome!! They were all super cool and made it a nice and relaxed experience. The guy me and my boyfriend were talking to was too cool. He answered every question either of us had before and after the jump and every question I had about getting my license. Jordan was also really cool too and has some nice but scary parachute skills . read more

Wow! What an incredible experience! The staff was friendly, accommodating, laughed at my lame jokes, and made the experience one I'll never forget. The gentleman who did the jump with me was full of great "dad jokes", was incredibly patient, and informative the entire time. He even gave me a wet willy during the free fall (as I wasnt pay attention to the go pro) which made the video absolutely hilarious!! I had a great time this evening. We went up in time to see the sun set and had some great views. This was my first time skydiving, and definitely not my last. I'll start out with the positive... The flight staff was AMAZING. I jumped tandem with Rio and a bunch of my friends jumped with Marko, they were both phenomenal and made sure we had a wonderful day. I loved every minute of the actual sky diving portion of the day. Now the negative... 1. Front desk staff was scatter brained. In the first 10 minutes of being in the facility my nerves about the fact that I was about to jump out a plane were not calmed by the fact that the staff helping us had the hardest time with their new POS (point of sale) system. It was very difficult for them to get organized to take payment even though 10 jumpers were all being paid by one person, and in cash. We didn't begin jumping until 12:30. 2. We made a reservation for 12 tandem jumpers a month in advance, paid deposit and all. Our reservation was from 11-3. HOWEVER, none of us started until 12:30 AND other jumpers were alternating with our party. By 3pm, 4 out of the 12 of us had jumped (2 groups of 2) and 4 other groups had gone ahead of us. The prioritization of our party was not well addressed. After a small accident happened, our party was delayed another hour. 3. The final 2 jumpers from our group finally left the ground at 5:40pm. Once settling the bill, and photos, our group didn't leave the facility until after 7pm. We missed our dinner reservations and spent all day there. It wasn't until we spoke up about not being made priority around 3 that we finally got our jumpers going and having fun. 4. 3 (or more) people in my party only ended up with 1 picture on their USB. Thank goodness they save the pictures, but still, for something you pay $88 for, you expect the full 200ish pictures. Again, I will say that my actual jumping experience was amazing, and I will absolutely jump again, but not through Dzone, which is unfortunate. I absolutely don't mean to write a negative review in hopes of deterring people from experiencing the freedom of falling from 15,000 feet, but only to address that the front desk staff needs more training and sense of professionalism. read more

My family all decided to skydive in celebration of my son's 30th birthday. Nice, knowledgeable people provide an awesome experience at Skydive Idaho. The camaraderie adds to the fun and you are surrounded by people who really love to skydive. They are careful to follow safety procedures which help to instill confidence. The duct tape in the plane really adds to the ambiance, not to worry. I would recommend them and the experience to everyone. Oh, also would recommend having a video made to save the experience. read more

I jumped here last summer and have been back three times since. They run a very safe course and their training is top notch. I feel comfortable jumping with them and their drop zone is full of smiles and laughs. Yes, gravity and speed are surprisingly involved with the sport of Skydiving. read more
