Strong arm you on delivery after you tell them no one is going to be home. I had to ask my 91 year old dad to come and open the door (after climbing stairs) to receive delivery. I work. Then they came one hour earlier than they said they would. That would have been great if somebody was home. I am not being bullied like that again. read more

If this was my business, I would put Zach in a role that isn't customer facing. Based on all the other negative reviews of customer interaction with him, he is not a people-person. He was condescending throughout all of my interactions with him and a champion excuse maker. I had an expensive sofa delivered today. I spoke with Zach last week and I explained to him that I had a covered porch and would the sofa be delivered ON the porch as it was supposed to rain this week and my son can't get here until the weekend to help me get it inside. He assured me that it would be left on the porch. I'm sure you can see where this is going - they left it outside the porch exposed to the elements with thunderstorms forecast for today. There are only 2 steps to the porch, so not too difficult. He said there wasn't room, which is BS. I got my tape measure out while I was on the phone with him and measured the box and the available space - there was plenty of room. The movers just didn't want to be bothered. No apology from Zach, no attempt to de-escalate. It was basically just yeah well, sorry for your luck. If this is the only moving service available through Article furniture in my area, it is enough to prevent me from ordering from them ever again. read more

Highly recommend using this moving company. They were quick and officiant. I had an entire apartment filled with product and they got it all moved out and into my new place in 3 hours. And the price for 2 hours is $340, very affordable compared to other places that were stretching to $1000 for 2 hours. I paid cash, so I didn't get charged the extra fee using a credit card. Highly choose cash and of course paid the guys a tip. read more

DZ Moving - Moving truck. - Movers Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

We had a $2100 mattress delivered by DZ Moving. The plastic wrap around the mattress had dark grease all over it (probably from the floor of the truck that they dragged the mattress over). They proceeded to bring it into my house and temporarily lay it down on a carpeted floor getting grease on it. I think they should have had two people sent for the delivery instead of one. read more

They delivered my mattress and helped me out of what they would normally. 5 stars all the way!

I would give zero stars if I could. Our experience with DZ Moving was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Not only did their crew cause damage to our client's staircase - which now needs to be completely replaced - but when I brought this up, I was met with rudeness and gaslighting from Zach (Operations Manager), who wasn't even present during the move. Instead of taking accountability, Zach told a long, detailed story that was full of inaccuracies, essentially accusing me of lying. There was a language barrier with the movers, so we had to use Google Translate to communicate - something I handled with patience and respect. But that shouldn't be used as an excuse to distort what actually happened. At no point were the movers "pressured" into doing anything. In fact, I asked them if unboxing and trash removal would be extra, and they clearly told me it was fine. Zach even said to me, "Here's how it usually goes: my guys have their side of the story, the client has theirs, and the truth is somewhere in the middle." That kind of dismissive attitude toward a legitimate concern is unacceptable. He was extremely rude on the phone and made it clear they would not be paying a dime toward the damages. I would absolutely not recommend DZ Moving to anyone. read more

Supposed to deliver an item. Said they only come to this area once a week. Scheduled it next week due to work. Had to confirm delivery that day. Clicked confirm. They did't show so called. Zack said they were near me and had one more delivery (supposed to be delivered 5pm-9pm). Midnight now and no call etc. Called this morning and got lies and excuses from Zack right away. "I was just about to call you." "We had a wreck." read more

Excellent moving company. Good value. Our movers, David & Ramzy, managed to be funny and entertaining while working their tails off. We are so happy that we chose them to help with our move. It's hard to imagine they moving could be a pleasant and fun experience, but that's what they made it. read more

I had an appointment time set up with thia company today. They were suppose to be here anytime from 10-11am. No one showed, I called them around 2pm to inquire were the movers were. They told me someone world be there shortly. Still no one showed. Now they won't answer the phone. Horrible company!!!!!!!!!! read more

My designer purchased furniture and decor that was to be warehoused with DZ until our new house was finished in Lexington. I only received less that 1/2 of what had been ordered and paid for.....the worst warehousing and receiving ever. The cost was close to $9000.00 dollars in lost items for which I NEVER received. I would NEVER use this company....they blamed everything on the designer however did not bother to inform me the "missing" items until of course 1-2 weeks prior to our move in date, just weeks before Thanksgiving. Designers BEWARE!! I suspect somebody is in possession of my belongings that I will never receive. To finish my house I had to reorder the missing furnishings....which is why I know exactly what it cost me. I should have sought legal counsel but goes against my better nature as a human. Rating should be -2 not one star. read more

Worst experience and most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. I have been 3 weeks waiting on my delivery. I have been threatened and by Zack who is supposed to be the operations manager, and lied to multiple times. If you have any other option on this earth go with that.I would not entrust this company to deliver with integrity and your merchandise. I have had to contact the company I bought the merchandise from and asked to have someone reliable to deliver to me that not being DZ moving. read more

Ramzy and David were a great help. They showed up on time, were professional, and worked quickly. Will definitely use them again.

We used DZ Moving for a move from Louisville to Columbus, Ohio & were very pleased with our service! Prices were far less than quoted national moving companies! They didn't require box or item counts to provide a price, just an estimate as to what would fit in the truck. Our movers, James & David, packed the truck tight and got all our belongings safely to our new home! When unloading the truck they would make sure to ask us where boxes & furniture should be placed. They were a kind, professional moving team and would definitely recommend them to anyone moving to/from the Louisville area! read more

Okay...I will attempt to keep this short, but how does one express sincere gratitude in less than 100 words!? I will upfront say: if you are reading this and need moving service within or leaving Louisville, CALL DZ MOVING NOW!!! I came across DZ Moving while searching long distance moving companies. While other well-known companies (Atlas, Allied etc) came back during a Google search, honestly DZ Moving should have been at the tip-top of the list! I had a VERY impromptu job relocation from KY to TX. I deeply credit Stan with D-Z Moving for helping make my move effortless. NEVER once did he, or his staff complain about my many calls and questions, putting my worries of such a big move to ease. Stan worked with my tight budget and timeframe, even reassured me my items would arrive in less than 2 days...SOMETHING COMPETITORS COULD NOT DO!! (Altas, Allies and Nationwide all quoted me 10-15 days for delivery). Moving day the movers arrived ON TIME and were very polite, professional, fast and friendly. Two days later, as scheduled the movers to TX and unloaded, reassembled furniture and places items where requested. If all that wasn't enough, Stan even helped with a personal matter a week later. Once arrived to TX my company needed specific type documentation... Stan worked with them personally to complete their request!! Now that's going OVER & BEYOND in superior customer service! HANDS DOWN D-Z Moving is a GEM!! Call them TODAYYYY and ask for Stan. You.Will.Be.Completely.Satisfied!!! read more

No stars!!! Very rude had 9am appointment to unload, not docked until 10:45....Then the guys unloading me decided to take a break and smoke a joint right in front of me! I told the supposedly BOSS...he said they were sharing a Black and mild!!! Since when do three guys share a black and mild, and since when does a black and mild appear WHITE!!! Then the boss acted like I was the bad guy and just stuck up for the guys and told me to never come back hereDont worry dude I won't be back! Very very very rude! read more

DO NOT use DZ Moving and Storage for your next move! The deserve negative STARS! The customer service is horrible and disgusting! I have called three times and left messages - No one has returned my call. I emailed and sent correspondence through their contact us page and no one has responded. I spoke to a worker who was in a different area, I told him what happened, and he said he will make sure the moving side received my message and someone will call me asap. I still have not heard back from anyone since 10/17/22. One of my flat screen televisions was severely damaged and can no longer be used. Richard and James knew they damaged my TV. I saw Richard awkwardly holding the television as James was talking to him. I did not think they would be malicious and place the TV down as if nothing was wrong. Another one of my flatscreen televisions has screen damage as well. My new bedroom set has knicks and scrapes all over it. The corners of a few walls in my NEW home are damaged. They also damaged and chipped the paint on my NEW porch. As if this is not enough, I cannot use my dryer. The electrical plate for the back of my dryer is gone leaving the wires fully exposed! They were also late. I was promised a 9 am start time. They canceled and moved me to 2 pm. They still showed up late and tried looking. I am sure they were tired which led to them taking more time to move me. I paid almost 1K for them to move me and I will end up paying move than that to replace and repair the damage they have done. Beware!!!! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service, rude management, no call ahead. Refused to assemble bed we paid them to assemble. read more

I recently had DZ move a truckload of antique furniture from a relative's estate from Louisville to Owensboro. This included very fragile items as well as a baby grand piano. The location presented considerable challenges in removing the items. They were professional, efficient and polite. I will definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

James and Twin did a great job moving everything into the rental truck for me, they worked tirelessly even I was the second job of their day. They were professional and quick, definitely recommend! read more

I wish I can give 0 stars. Never showed up. Called the office 30 mins after our quote time. The person in the office told us it would be another hour. Waited 2 hours to call back. I guess they recognizedmy husband's number and didn't pick up. I used my phone and....he picked up. He told us that he would get an ETA from the driver and call us back. No call!!!! Left several mesaages......nothing! Don't waste your time with these people. Highly unprofessional! read more

2 hours late!!!! No call letting me know of a delay. I had to move my tv's off before they got there since I had cable scheduled for 2 hours after the time they should have been there. I had to call twice to get a status. First time left a voicemail, then 30 minutes later called again and finally got someone. Movers got there and unloaded the truck. They were polite but really 2 hours late? Wasn't a happy camper, they could have offered a discount or at least expressed a little empathy regarding their fail on service and advising the customer of a delay. read more

DZ Moving & Storage has the best simple pricing system-- an hourly rate that includes the movers and truck. Brilliant! We had a complicated house closing, and the moving time and date had the be changes a few times the previous week. Stan always retuned my calls quickly and worked with me on making it work. The guys showed up a few minutes early and started before they were on the clock. They worked great together as a team and it was obvious they have a lot of experience. Nothing was scratched or broken. Moving from one house to another is extremely stressful, and not having to worry about the movers makes it a lot easier! I will definitely use again. read more

Do not recommend! They were hired to help with moving from one house to another... literally all the furniture recieved damage of some sort....they didn't wrap any thing in plastic so cloth materials got filthy. Tables and furniture recieved terrible scratches and now need to be re-done. I personally had to tell them to wrap an antique hutch in a blanket before they tightened a strap with the metal piece resting on glass... they were very slow scratched floors because they didn't have moving coasters to slide under furniture. They also had no tools of their own and had to use ours.... they also hit the new house while unloading the furniture and damaged the flashing at the garage... sent pictures of damage to company with no response and did I mention they've had two weeks to make it right... absolutely disappointed! Do not recommend! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The ABSOLUTE WORST moving company I have ever dealt with. They didn't finish the job, left furniture broken or dismantled; including leaving my couch unusable without the legs reapplied and breaking a custom made table, they were late, brought a too small truck, took constant smoke breaks, phone calls, stopped working for rain and to eat a lunch I provided, finally they charged me 800 dollars for an 8 hour move that should have taken 4 tops.I have had to go back to my old apartment 5 times with 2 SUV's to remove the left over items, including book cases, a microwave and clothing drawers. The owner will not call me back after almost daily calls to try to resolve this issue. THIS IS AN AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, HORRIBLE "MOVING SERVICE" read more

IT was a move from hell, cost me More. But the guys were great. They never stopped or gave up. He did tell me, It was going over my budget. I ended up owning them money. It was the next month. Used DZ twice before and was satisfied. Tried to book this week and no return call or answer to an email inquiry. Thankfully I had another moving company call me back and got them booked. I was concerned about other DZ reviews indicating tardiness so that combined with the fact that calls are not returned same day led to a lost customer. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!! First, two men came to move two rooms from a sales trailer. They started at 9:15am and finished at 3:45pm. I could have had third graders move quicker and pack the items neater. Secondly, when we approached the men to pay, I noticed one of my custom signs STUCK TO THEIR DASHBOARD. These signs were packed away, so they had gone through my belongings, took the sign out, peeled the double-sided tape off, and stuck it to their dash. Upon questioning them, the younger guy immediately offered to pay for it. He offered cash on the spot but I refused because I was unclear of the cost. It is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable to go through someone else's belongings AND bring your dogs to move. When you take something that doesn't belong to you, that makes you a thief. I URGE YOU TO AVOID THIS COMPANY! I called to discuss with the folks in the office and they called it "childish" of their movers but I call it what it is, a thief. Please be cautions if you decide to use this company. read more

Dave & Collin are the shit. They did a hell of a job moving my stuff up 3 flights up stairs. They did much better than the last moving company who moved my stuff. I had a lot of heavy stuff and they didn't complain once. They were extremely professional & efficient. I definitely got my money's worth. read more

DZ Was supposed to move us today, however they left my husband sitting in his car for four hours waiting to open the garage for them and no show no call!! The least they could have done was to call, we would not have been happy however my husband would not have been sitting out in the heat for four hours with an injured hand he only has one usable hand!! To tell someone that you're going to take care of their move and they do this is horrible! My husband spoke with them and they said they were on the way and two hours later no one had shown up and no one answered the phone! If this is how you run your business perhaps you ought to close down and re-think what you've got going on! read more

Everyone has a different experience, but DZ Movers were my hero's today! After Cardinal Movers somehow lost my appointment information, I was desperate to find another mover, last minute, on a Sunday. I called DZ, and James and Dave were there within 2 hours of my call! They were awesome! Friendly, professional, and fast! ( they wrapped everything and handled my furniture with great care). I highly recommend them, and I'll certainly use them for my next move! read more

I don't think I'm able to offer words bad enough to describe the abysmal experience I had with DZ Moving... but let's try: Pickup day: the movers were 4 hours late, which means they showed up at 5pm, though this wasn't initially a deal breaker; I soon learned that their tardiness is habitual, if not instinctual. To make matters worse, they were dead tired and moved at half pace--even admitting several times that they were moving very slow and that they were over worked.. Fine--we're all humans and get tired, I get it. But they will try to bill you their normal rate. Unacceptable. I had to pitch in to help the process along or we would've been moving stuff till midnight. The movers even praised me for "moving more than the two of them combined". Smoke and cell phone breaks were taken quite often--all on billed time. Moving large items: I asked them to take the drawers out of my dressers (common practice?). No bother they said.. This ensured the end of my dresser was ripped off, completely ruining my dresser. They assured me it would be covered in the move--later talking to Stan (the owner) he informed me that no, that policy was in fact, a lie and that he wouldn't be covering any losses because the dresser "wasn't made of solid wood". Any right minded individual would have known better than to try and lift a dresser with full drawers. Maybe this is the DZ way. Shortly after, the two movers strongly suggested to me that I should tip them because that's how they make their wage... okay... If you're still reading this review and still considering hiring these guys to help you move, 1) I'm shocked and 2) let me continue to try and save you a very bad headache. My drop off was supposed to be between 3-4pm the following day. At 7pm I had to call numerous times to check. Finally a call was answered and Stan told me they were behind but still had plans of dropping my stuff off. At 9pm, after numerous phone calls and avoided messages I phoned the police to seek advice because I was honestly worried all of my possessions had been ripped off. The police advised I phone one more time and inform the owner (Stan) of my intent to file a theft report if a delivery date/time was not established. Stan became irate and swore several times at me informing me I couldn't "ask for a time to have my stuff picked up or dropped off at, that's not how this business works and they'll get to my stuff when they got to it and if I didn't like it I could hire another company to come remove it from his truck and deliver it to me." I contemplated requesting a police officer to be present at the unload after this behavior was presented to me for fear of confrontation or damage to my belongings. Eventually I got my belongings 2 days after the initial pickup. James and the other gentleman (sorry I don't remember his name) were great and pleasant to work with and actually worked at a diligent pace. If a star is deserved in this review, it goes to James and his partner. read more

Was told the movers would be at my house to move between 2-3 PM. They didn't show up until 7:50 PM and they were told by the boss (Stan) that we only had a 1 bedroom house when in fact we had a 3 bedroom house, so they brought a truck that was too small. It took two loads over two days to complete the move when it should've been completed on the one day. No discounts were given or awarded, even though it was the manager's fault. On the flip side, the movers were great and very courteous/nice. I'd recommend paying for a Uhaul and the movers...would be much cheaper. read more

Beware! Dishonest company that scams customers. This moving company doubles your rates on day of move, damages your stuff, and avoids your calls afterward when you want to make a claim. Do NOT hire them. Worse moving company ever! Stan Dzhirskaryani, who owns this company, gives artificially low estimates before the day of your move to lure you in. But DZ Moving is the most ill-prepared, ill-equipped moving company in Louisville. The move Stan quoted me as taking 7-9 hours took TWO full days and cost me over $4,000 instead of the low, appealing price I was quoted. One his movers was so terrible that he stood around texting his girlfriend when he was supposed to be working. Not once. Not twice. But at least 30 or 40 times. Even worse is that his moving guys damaged much of my stuff and Stan refused to take my calls to resolve the issue afterward. File a claim? That's a joke. If you fill out the form online, Stan will ignore it forevermore. Call ANYONE except DZ Moving. I would give them minus 5 stars if I could. Even the Better Business Bureau has a negative rating for them. read more

This company was contracted to deliver a custom retro refrigerator to us. AJ and James were the movers and were excellent. We highly recommend both of these men, they are true professionals. read more

It took me forever to put this review in, but DZ moving helped me move last July. AJ and James were awesome. They gave me an awesome rate for moving my furniture to a storage unit, keeping it there for a month and then moving it into my new home. They crushed everyones rates and the service could not have been better. I have an electric reclining couch and one of the cords was torn during the move (stuff happens) and Stan had someone out there the following day to fix it at not cost. Could not have asked for a better experience! read more

Beware of pricing! I was quoted a flat rate that included 3 men for two hours with an additional rate for three men for every thirty minutes thereafter. Once the move was over, I was charged their thirty minute rate ($65 per half hour) for the first two hours as well. Damaged one settee due to not wrapping and dirty handprints and dye from moving boxes, with no replacement or even attempt to clean by owner. Most furniture not wrapped. The movers had already completed one move that day, frankly, my move was huge and they were already tired. The three workers really hustled! It's a shame the company owner is damaging his own business by unfair billing practices and failure to respond to phone calls for damaged goods. All in all, it only netted him a little over $300. read more

I can't say enough good things about DZ Moving. I'm a busy professional and don't have a lot of free time to waste seeking dependable and quality service. When I heard these guys did a move for Rick Pitino (Go Cards!) I figured what's good enough for Rick is good enough for me. The truck arrived on time and the two movers weren't messing around. They were courteous, worked quickly, and used all the right equipment. I was most afraid about my flat screen and racing bike - both were secured to my satisfaction. Everything arrived just as it had been before. What else can you ask for? Will definitely be looking for DZ Moving for my next move. Thanks, Jerry and Daniel! read more

Awesome movers, very hard workers. You could tell that they had experience. The way they would carry & handle furniture was impressive. They meticulously wrapped all the furniture. I was so very happy with everything, highly recommend! read more

Zero stars if I could rate it that low! This operation is shady @ best. Moved from an apt. to a house in Jan. '19 & they broke my Z Gallerie glass water fountain. I filed out the online damage claim form, no response. I gave them a call, no answer so I left a msg, no response. I called several times from my cell #, wouldn't answer. I call from my home phone & guess what, they answer. I explain my situation, he asks can I hold & never returns back to me. Very professional, right? I drive to the listed address, it's empty. I find another address for them, this one is where they store their trucks. No one answered so it's safe to say I won't get reimbursed for my damages. People, don't be fooled by the couple of reviews speaking highly of them, they're a subpar outfit & obviously skirting on the underside of the law.
