The entire menu at Pyra Bar is centered on one ingredient: the potato. Jacket (baked) potatoes,…read morepotato pancakes, and potato casseroles, each served with a different sauce or toppings. The Sledzionko came with a mixture of herring, pickles, apples, and onion in a chilled sour cream sauce; and the LO!Sos came with a creamy sauce of mascarpone, sour cream, lemon, dill, and chives topped with a slice of smoked salmon. Both dishes came with three chunks of roasted potato, which had crispy skin and were nicely seasoned with salt, dill, and chives. We also got a creamy coleslaw on the side to go with the potatoes, but my favorite part was definitely the herring salad, which had just the right balance of briney/seafoody flavors, a refreshing crunch, and a creamy, herbaceous sauce!
