Where to start?
I had inquired about this being a crossfit facility after recently being transferred to the area (the name "x fit" is what had me asking) I was met with some petty internet squabble where the owner claimed several things (none of which turns out to be true). On top of that - he insisted that my facebook profile was fake because it is 100% private and locked down. Not only is that offensive, it's immature. I do not know, or care to know what internet squabble he's had with someone else.
After much asking around and internet searching, I determined several things.
I came here and read the other review, which he claims is fake. I did my own homework on this all. Everything mentioned by Christina G. is 100% accurate.
He is not certified in crossfit, yet trains people in it. This is the epitome of irresponsible behavior.
Is not registered with the state of Illinois to be doing business under any Corp or LLC - which he claims exists in Arizona. This is not true. There are data bases for these things where you can search by name (either business/owner or DBA) If you are doing business within state boundaries, you must register with that state. I wonder what he's trying to dodge? Also states that this is because I do not know his 'real name.' Again - what is this man hiding?
Believes that he is the progenitor of crossfit in this area. Again, after a very brief search, I was able to disprove this.
He is not affiliated with crossfit in any way, shape, or form. Yet he sells it to people. In law, I believe that's called "infringement."
Claims that he is waiting to purchase his affiliation. The he has been doing it for 5 years. If you have been training people for 5 years in it, how have you not gathered enough money to become an affiliate? Something about that is incredibly fishy. It ties back to his not being certified, I believe!
I cannot believe how immature this man acted toward me.
Word of advice: if you are looking for someone that can be professional, this is NOT your gym or trainer. A quick internet search found other gyms in the area who have all been much more friendly and informative than this clown. read more
