Butch's Auto is the most HONEST, KNOWLEDGABLE, and fairly priced Auto Repair I have EVER been to! I…read morehave been a loyal customer of Butch's Auto for 10 years. Before finding them, I had been through sooo many mechanics that over-charged - and that I could NOT trust. I can honestly say that I totally trust Butch's Auto....I drive out of my way from Clearwater because they are totally worth the drive. On one occassion, my car was giving me trouble, and I thought for sure it would cost me big $$....but, Butch informed me that it was a simple fix and he did NOT EVEN CHARGE me!!! When I told his wife Sharon how amazed I was - she said "We answer to a Higher Power" Praise GOD! When I went searching for a new used car, I made sure to have Butch look at the vehicle before buying - He went over everything with a fine-tooth comb. And was instrumental in helping me find a GOOD RELIABLE car! Now, I don't even bother going to the 'cheap' places to get my oil changed. You know...the places that tell you that you need to get a 'what-ever-flush' because your car is in serious trouble if you don't?! Forget that...I would rather pay acouple of extra dollars and have Butch tell me STRAIGHT! Simply....they are the BEST!

Butch took his time to explain everything and even showed me where the ac was leaking from and was very helpful in me understanding what was going on. I highly recommend Butch and his service and the convenience of him coming to your home to fix the issue. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Once the issue was found, it only took a couple hours. Made sure I was informed about the health of my vehicle seeing as I just got it. Told me there was some wear on certain things, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. No "crucial issues" manifested themselves that I NEED to spend money on NOW or else my first born child will die. Basically ran a free diagnostic test the way I see it. Friendly and personable staff from the receptionists, mechanics, and owner. Even answered the phone for a quick question a few minutes before closing. Highly recommend and will be my go to mechanic!

I like to patronize a business several times before I sit down and write a review for it. You may…read morehave a great experience the first time you go and even the second time but sometimes on the 3rd or 4th visit, the great service you originally had goes downhill--that is not the case with this shop. I've been here several times for various things from an oil change to installing new motor mounts and each time I come in, the service is just as good as the first time I was here. I'm not from Florida, we moved down here from NYC so I had not owned a car in well over a decade. I bought a used one and then brought it in to Honest-1 Auto for an inspection to see if there was anything major wrong with it. The first person I dealt with was Willie Vazquez, the General Manager. I spoke to him over the phone, he got me in right away. I should've brought the car in before I purchased it, luckily there wasn't anything majorly wrong with it but I didn't know that. If Willie were dishonest, he could've said there was something wrong with it and I probably would've gone ahead and paid to have it 'fixed' because I would not have known any better. I appreciate his honesty. I also met George Maajoun the Service Advisor. He's straightforward with prices and cost of labor etc. I've never gotten blindsided by a last minute extra charge or "added fees". My repairs always cost exactly what George tells me they will cost. I appreciate that. It's hard to budget for car repairs when the shop you're dealing with keeps upping the cost, that won't happen to you here. This shop is the most honest one I've ever been to! An honest auto repair shop is like a 'Rare White Elk', they exist but the chances of ever encountering one are slim. Happy to report you have a 'Rare White Elk' here in Carrollwood! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
