This place is now called Ok Tire. Scammers! Barely looked at my car and quoted me close to $3,000…read morefor a "repair." Got a second opinion at a different shop and the actual repair was $170 with parts!!! Also, my bank card is missing... Posted about my experience on social media without bashing them.. only asking others about their experience and sharing parts of my story. Several came forward with similar stories about high quotes for work that didn't actually need to be done. Then the owner and an employee starting commenting on my post lying... "they ever saw me." The employee even said he would never take a bank card because that would hurt his reputation.. oh and not because it's immoral? They may do honest work for their friends but IMO one or more mechanic at this location is not shy to try and scam who they can. Think about it... if you go along with their story of what needs to be fixed and the work starts, you can't protect/heLo yourself later/realize that wasn't the actual part that needed to be replaced... they do whatever they want. Always get a second opinion. They tried to get me because I came in naive and saying I had no clue about cars. Thank god my bf knew better when I called him crying.

I've never had a bad issue after they repaired it. if you're looking for a good mechanic. this is the place. Fast, affordable and easy to understand. After an expensive 2024 and 2025 fixing my 2010 Grand Caravan and getting work done almost…read moreexclusively by Midas on St. Annes. The manager (who was not in that day or in today when I called) and I figured we'd replaced pretty much everything on the front end and were close. So, on July 28th I dropped my van off to take care of one last rattle. Because the Midas on St. Annes had indicated twice in the last year that my Stabilizer Link arm on the driver side needed to be replaced, I suggested that might be the source. I received a call from the shop later that morning the fellow indicated that the lower control arm and ball joints on both sides were "dangerous" (his words) and needed to be replaced at a cost of $1,700. I asked if it could be the stabilizer link bar and was told no, that is fine. The lower control arm on the drivers van was replaced at that shop in July of 2024 with a part I supplied. The ball joint on the passenger side was replaced (by another shop) in 2023. The van had been in the St. Annes shop many times over the last year and they knew the vehicle well. So when they told me $1,700 I said stop I'll need to take care of the drivers side lower control arm warranty myself as I had provided the part. I went picked up the van and happily paid my $89.00. That week I was on vacation so I replaced the drivers lower control arm. After changing it and getting the part warrantied, there was no change at all in the van's handling or rattles in the front end. So yesterday (august 17th), I changed the stabilizer link bar myself and all the rattles went away. So today I called the shop where I've spent thousands of dollars, to ask to get a refund on the inspection fee ($89.00) as it was actually the stabilizer link bar and not both dangerous lower control arms. I was given a litany of excuses why they would not give me a refund as they did not trust what I was saying. They did offer me a free oil change which I declined. I was referred to James the General Manager of the Midas on McPhillips. James offered the same denial that they had done nothing wrong. While he did agree that I had spent "a lot of money" with them over the last year, after a little back and forth James kindly told me that they were not a charity and hung up on me. Over $89.00. This is the level of customer service that a general manager provides and then hangs up? This is absolutely brutal customer service and needs to be called out. To cap it off with hanging up on me is just sad, immature and demands an apology. Yes, apology on top of the $89.00.

Dissappointed in the battery price. Brought it in for an oil change and to test the battery, they…read moreconfirmed the battery needed to be replaced. Price quoted was 480 and they made it seem like I should expect it to be expensive so I tell them to proceed. I get home and check for the battery MPA48, first result comes up at 280. Very disappointed in the markup. Makes me want to never accept recommendations from them and I've been going there almost 10 years because they never made it seem like they overcharge me but now I'm wanting to go elsewhere. 2/5 because they're not the guys next door, who overcharged me even more.
