With the sauce and mozzarella cheese this was perhaps my favourite pizza since returning to the uk. My girl had a veggie spaghetti dish and cleared her plate, the best sign of a good meal. Her dish was accompanied by a bowl of freshly grated Parmesan and my pizza had a bowl of dried chillies - a nice touch that made the difference! Great stuff. But there were at least three other tables we pointed out that were blatantly cheating using their phones and he just carried on with the quiz. I went back in because I realised I left my bag, and I went and told him again that he's not doing anything about the other people on their phones. He claims he never saw them and carried on with the quiz. They were our go-to coffee place. The place is massive and consists of a restaurant and separate bar area which is used for live music gigs. We went on a mid-week evening which was more quiet, but not as quiet as they expected. Staff seemed completely overwhelmed by the number of guests. We had to wait well over an hour for any food to arrive at our table the large party at the table next to us weren't served until we were ready to leave at 10. Unfortunately, the more senior waiter lost his cool in the course of the evening and wasn't particularly friendly, almost snapping when one of us went up to the bar to hand over our payment. As we booked the table on a discounted deal, I'll be forgiving and give three stars. At full price this would seem generous as no food is good enough if the atmosphere isn't right.

Our glasses were empty throughout our meal - no offer of replacements despite 3 waitresses clearly clocking them. We were asked to change one of our food orders after an age of waiting. Food came before the cutlery. No check-up, and then again, I had to go and track down the waitress to pay. No justification in these prices. Food and decor good, service at the bar and at the tables shocking. AVOID ON A BUSY SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT ALL COST!
