This journey began about two years ago. No...seriously, stay with me…read more.. We adopted a little five month old puppy from the St. Louis Humane Society two years ago. She dug a big hole in the middle of our carpet. I love her so much, I didn't care, however it would have to be fixed. We threw a rug over it. Okay, fast forward to next year and hubby has some health issues that kept us busy for a long time. Fast forward six months and we realized that we still have a hole in the carpet. We decide it's time to do something. Of course we decide that..."Hey, if we're going to do this, we might as well....." You know how it goes. We start visiting carpet places and places that have carpet; people came and measured the house. We never hear back from one place and the other place kept calling us with different figures every time and laminate where the carpet goes and carpet where the laminate goes. After the third time, I'm thinking; do you really want someone installing a whole bunch of flooring if they can't even get the paperwork right? So...we give up and buy a new rug for the hole. Fast forward three months and we are in the Edwardsville area looking around and we see Archview flooring. We park and look at each other. Do we really want to try this again? We both sigh and go in. I'm expecting things to go south pretty quick. Then we meet Bryan. Bryan is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He seems to understand exactly what we want and our budget. It is like talking to a good friend. Archview has all the top brands and lots of samples to take home; we took home lots! Later Bryan comes and measures the house. So far so good. When we go back in later to really get serious about picking out our floors, Bryan goes over pricing again. We actually got a little carried away with what we wanted to do, so we had to shave a few things off, which ended up being a good thing. Once we settled on what we wanted, Bryan put in the order and we got on the install list. We could not believe it! We had actually ordered new laminate and carpet! Bryan made the whole process easy and painless! Woo Hoo! Now, our sights are set on the install. The day arrived and three men showed up right on time. They were professional, friendly and courteous. Seriously, a bunch of great guys. They respected my antiques when they moved things too, which I appreciated. You could tell they knew what they were doing! The install went perfectly! I love my floors! I love walking around on my new laminate which by the way is from Armstrong Audacity and it looks like real wood; it's gorgeous! The carpet is beautiful and the white laminate by Shaw in the bedroom turned out wonderful; just like I dreamed it! Before the installers left, one of them even fixed a spot on our entryway laminate that they hadn't even installed. These guys worked hard and did a spectacular job! This journey could not have gone better, once we found Archview that is! If you are reading this and you need new flooring; Go to Archview Flooring! Thank you Archview for allowing me to finally fix that hole!

I have an old house with crazy floors! Mark came over and walked me through ways I could help fix the floors so we could install an economical floor that will handle the expected foot traffic. I had quiet a few questions about some of the suggested ways to fix my problems and Marc didnt make me feel dumb for thinking I could do it a wrong way, he didnt pressure me into doing an expensive remodel... no he simply pointed out a few options, with each pro and con, and let me make the decision. In the end, some of the mountains we faced turned out to just be mole hills and I couldn't be happier with the experience I've received! Even Barb showing us around the warehouse... same experience as Mark and the installers (father and son duo - how cool is that!), not pushing, supportive and understanding of the overall picture! Can't go wrong with Vallow Flooring!

Vallow's estimate for the same product beat the other business, saving us major money. We had a handyman contractor to redesign our stairwell so that we can get the LVP installed correctly. Mike from Vallow came out to our house and met with the handyman contractor to discuss their plan and even provided them with sample. This collaboration greatly facilitated our combined home improvement projects, resulting in a much better final product than we had envisioned. Three weeks later, We found a small issue with a step tread and they fixed it quickly. Highly recommend Vallow for all your flooring needs. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of their craft. Customer Service is great too.

First off my service call was for 9am and the man arrived and rang my door bell at 7:45 in the morning waking my baby and completely interrupting my childrens morning school routine, sitting outside for more than an hour as I left to take my children to school. Upon returning and sending them to my basement as that is where the carpet was to be installed, they immediately came upstairs to inform me that they "don't move small items".... Now let me clarify what "small items" these men were referring too: three packs of paper towels and a child's plastic Barbie castle. They proceeded to not only sit outside my house for an hour insisting I move these items so they weren't "liable" for said paper towels, but then (while I moved said requested items) they promptly got back in their van and left, without warning or any sort of conversation... just left. The unprofessionalism was mind blowing and the laziness was beyond anything I had ever seen before. Needless to say they were immediately fired and my rental company refuses to work with them on any future jobs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, they may be the cheapest but I guess there is a clear reason for that! Buyer beware!

I used the Yelp project assistant feature and after a short while, I received contact from Ron, via the Key Carpet Yelp business page. Ron quickly filled me in regarding his 45 years experience in carpeting repair and then reviewed some photos I sent him to get a better picture of my situation. Ron quoted me $400 for the job, using the extra carpeting material I had on hand and offered to come the very next day, Friday mid morning. Ron gave me several assurances he'd handle whatever situation was present and not to give it any more worry. I appreciated his confidence and stated flexibility regarding the job conditions and his intention to just get it done. Ron is old school and not a Prima-donna. On a prompt arrival, Ron and his helper Brayson moved our kids bed out of the way, tore out the old carpeting, filthy tack strips, and treated the area with an odor neutralizer before jumping into the installation. The whole job took almost exactly 3 hours from arrival to departure. Ron & Brayson were true beasts in knocking out the job! I'm currently unclear whether this was a referral from Key Carpet to Lenderman Flooring, or Key Carpet employees themselves... but I'm a satisfied customer either way.

While the company was easy to communicate with prior to the work being done we had a huge hiccup during the actual work. While planning to sell our home we were also in the process of moving 4,500 miles away. We had multiple businesses coming to our home on certain days to do their specific jobs (cleaning, staging, photographing, open house etc). I was told several times exactly how long the installation of the carpeting should take and based all other appointments on what I had been told. While on a trip I received a call telling me the installation would take another few days, which was simply unacceptable. Thankfully, Key Carpet was able to pull employees from another job to finish ours on time. This whole process caused an extreme amount of stress and headaches. While we were happy with how the new carpeting looked, it was definitely not the smoothest process.
