It's pretty rare that I come across a furniture store that specialises in furniture for the elderly so Dennets made a nice change. Nothing cost more than £200.00 which I thought was very decently priced and is probably more of a relief to their usual customer. Even though the styles didn't appeal to me in anyway their chairs and sofas are so comfy it was a struggle to get up! I'd recommend Dennetts for elderly and for people who just want some comfortable furniture (no matter what the look.)

Yes you have to pay more than you would for flat pack goods from Argos and the designs may not be as fashionable as say Ikea but if you're after traditional furniture that won't go out of fashion then head down to Goosemoor Lane. They have a huge selection spread over two floors and the furniture is displayed in room settings to help you imagine how it will look in your own home. If you're a regular customer or are making a huge purchase it's worth asking if there are any deals to be done. If you fancy a drink or something to eat after browsing then head to the top floor to Two Jays' Restaurant. They offer both hot and cold dishes which are produced daily, fresh from the kitchen. For example I saw a table next to some rugs with a headboard with pictures above it. In summary they weren't organised. I found myself weaving my body around their products. This left me thinking "how on earth do they pack up the products?" Luckily there are a few more pros than cons. They had some really nice looking products and something to suit all modern homes. I particularly liked their paintings of cities, countryside and sun sets. The shop's decor gave a nice warm feeling, just like a home has. I went in during the sale and thought their original prices were decent but their discounted prices were even better. A family sized table cost just £20.00. Bargain!

What I will also say is that the quality of items on offer here are particularly good and this place is well worth a visit. It is a big store although there were some cramped areas. Staff are excellent and they will happily help you out. Having spoken to the staff here, I got the impression that they really are passionate about the company they work for. They also care about their customers as well which is great to see. And I'll also say you can have plenty of banter with them. A decent furniture store and one shop I might well visit again.

Despite that, I carried on admiring the stylish furniture and noticed some unique designs; all for an affordable price. My favourite piece was the double bed with two head boards because it was simple but original. Temptation would have taken over if I had enough room for the double bed. Being the only customer in the store, I tried to make conversation with the staff by asking where they got the furniture from, what materials were used on my favourite item, how long have been around. I know I shouldn't have but I felt rude asking these questions as they didn't seem to care! They were too wrapped up in their paper work that one of them didn't even look up. "Hello I AM HERE" I thought. Even a little interaction would have persuaded me to come here again. Despite their beautiful furniture, their rubbish customer service put me off that much that I would only come here again as a last resort.

All this stuff if located upstairs in the store which is very near to Centenary Square. Downstairs is a mixture of lighting, kitchen ware and funky wallpapers. Habitat stuff is extremely well made and they often collaborate with designers on their wallpaper designs and other bits and pieces. The prices vary, so really they have something for everyone. Even if you don't own your own home I would recommend popping by incase you want to jazz up your bedroom with a new vase, candles or picture.
