Did some work for us and it was suppose to include stump removal. The salesman/General Manger…read moreasured me they would grind 10" below the surface and leave the hole empty so I could back fill. After long day they leff wood chips piled up over the old stump. I asked them to remove chips. They did remove some but not all. The owner said I've got some dirt left from another job I'll put in at no cost. I agreed but didn't realize they just cover up the chips rather than removal. A few weeks later at least three pieces of fhe stump have surfaced where they did no grind them out. Below are pics of their unsatisfactory work. Grass won't grow over the chips they backfilled with and lawnmower hits the unground stump. I wish I had gone with a more professional tree service. Shop informed when hiring a tree removal service.

So, when we needed a tree trimmed and a few smaller, decorative (landscaping) trees and bushes removed, we called them again. I was out of town and a family member was present on the day they arrived. They did a decent job of removing the 3 smaller trees but a terrible job on trimming back two bushes. But the biggest transgression was when they told the family member that a large, 40 year old oak in the back yard which I had planted new, was dead and needed to be removed. It was late fall so leaves were not present to indicate a dead tree. My thought is that the little jobs weren't paying enough so they decided to "find" something to make more money. They cut down this oak, which was NOT dead, and charged a $2500 to do so! A check was given to them on the spot by the family member or I'd have refused. Takeaway? Be present when someone is working and get a second opinion (if needed) on whether a tree is dead or dying. I feel like we got played. Caveat Emptor. Below are 2 bushes they "trimmed." And don't get me started on why they didn't tell a family member that the oak pieces would make good firewood or could even be sold for furniture or wood working!

I have already seen friends/family leave them 5-star reviews to try and fool people into thinking they are legitimate. They've already been reported to the BBB several times (another way to figure out the 5/5 reviews are fake is just to take a look at their F rating on the BBB), and have even been reported to the local news media in the St. Louis area for ripping off customers.

Was told after the fact that I should have had a wooden fence if I didn't want 6" gaps in spots under the fence. Found them on porch.com going by VTF, I guess to avoid their F rating with the BBB. I work with a rescue group and foster dogs. The fence was solely to keep my dogs in and safe, and it failed spectacular at it. Members from the rescue group came over with material and spent an entire day reinforcing the fence. Do not use this business.
