Duval Street is the place to be in Key West. There are chickens walking around everywhere and we finally saw some babies. So cute.

Key West has something for everyone. Daytime or night time. Want to get wild or have some family fun you'll find it. On foot, bike, or golf cart you can do it all. There are no limits. Enjoy Key West!!!

Duval Street is notably the entertainment capitol of Key West with bars, restaurants and retail shops lining both sides of the street for 1.25 miles from Mallory Square to the Southernmost Point Buoy. Most of the retail businesses and commercial restaurants on Duval Street close by 7pm but we hit the late night live music bars tonight like Sloppy Joe's, The Whistle Bar, Dogs Breath and Irish Kevins.

This is the main drag in Key West. There are many loud bars near Malory Square & it gets quieter heading towards the Southernmost Point. It's a nice flat mile walk that takes about :20 if you don't stop to look inside gift shops, art galleries, T-shirt shops & bars. There isn't any parking on Duval but there are many historic buildings with landmark status. The roosters here are pretty friendly too

Three times a year I come to Key West for a get away and have fun day and night. Duval Street is the center of a majority of the action in Key West. Both sides of the street have bars, restaurants and cute retail shops with very pricey scattered hotels. FYI not much shade on this street in the summer months. The best rates for hotels are one or two blocks OFF of this iconic street. I try to rent bicycles for easy travel from one end to the other.

Duval Street is Key West's most iconic street, stretching from one side of the island to the other, it encompasses many bars, restaurants, assorted shops, art galleries, and more. You can't visit Key West without stopping there. I'd say it seems much more fun as a pedestrian than a driver.

Duval street has a lot of great restaurants, shops and bars. Take the trolley to save your self the hassle of parking. There are several paid parking lots or paid street parking. This is a great walkable area. The major cruise lines dock near by. You will find tons of great deals on souvenirs. So many restaurants and bars to choose from.

This is the place to be when staying in Key West. It's over a mile long, from the Southernmost Point for a photo opp, to Mallory Square for the sunset. You will see all kinds of restaurants, bars, art galleries, and unique shops in between. My favorites are: The Hard Rock Cafe, Sloppy Joes, Willie Ts, and La Trattoria. As I write this during the pandemic (Dec 2020) the place is only about 60% as busy with tourists as it used to be; 10:00pm on a Saturday night starts to become pretty quiet at many places. Regardless, this is one fun place for adults. Leave the kids with grandma and let loose here!

I felt like I was back in New Orleans! It had an old style feel and liveliness. This street is the place to be in Key West! It's an old town with restaurants, shops, souvenirs shops, music and close beaches. Was only here for a few hours in the late afternoon on a Tuesday and it was lively with people and cars. You have to be open minded to the livelihood of this place. Lots to do as well. Many bicyclists and tourists. I recommend to stay by a nearby hotel next time as it takes a few hours from Miami to drive here. [92/100]

This is a really cool Street in Key West. Make sure that if you have the choice, visit on a day in which there are no cruise ships. Second best choice is to visit on a day when there's a smaller ship. I recommend you get there early and have a plan of attack on which retailers you visit. If you go in haphazardously without a plan, you're going to get overheated, confused, and you will not take advantage of your interests. We utilized the Duval Loop bus (free on and off) which is air-conditioned on several legs of our exploration. Just look for the pink loop signs that are pretty small and hard to spot Key West, on the weather apps, always indicates 86°. We feel that this is a little bit under reporting the temperature which we showed on every day of our weeklong stay to be around 101 to 105 Remember to take water with you and keep hydrated. If you're biking into old town, I recommend just parking and locking your bikes at a rack central to where you're exploring. If you're driving in, I recommend parking at the Opal Key resort parking deck, which is covered and will keep your car cooler during the day. The cost is actually cheaper than most as it's five dollars per hour and it doesn't charge you all at once for the day. Places that we visited while we were at Duval Street include Kaya Island Eats, the Moondog Cafe, Blue Heaven, Key West Aloe, Danger Charters Sunset Cruise, Tucker's Provisions, Art on Duval, Life is Good, The Truman Annex, Mallory Suare, Kino Sandals, and the Salt Life. Really nice experience!!!

Duval Street is the place to be in Key West if you want some action!! By day, you got good restaurants, T-shirt and souvenir shops, cigar stops, historic houses, Bars, just everything. No doubt you could spend all day here walking up and down checking everything thing out. Everything is pretty cheap or reasonably priced. By night, it's all about the Bars and Clubs. You can tell people come here to get turned up. My introduction to Duval Street was when I first got there, this dude was so drunk asking me for directions, he could barely keep his balance, lol!! But it's all good. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. It does remind me a little of Bourbon Street in New Orleans at night. Definitely come here by day and night if you're in Key West!!

What to say about this place. Fell in love with this as you walk. Most happening place in keywest. From parades to entertainment to food, historical houses/restaurants/shops are stealing the show here. Don't return back from keywest without visiting this place.

For a solo trip it was little nerve racking but loved the excitement! The bus I took from Miami to Key West dropped us here & also picked us up here. So we had (I think) 4 -6 hours to finish the tour & I knew there is no way I would be able to do it by foot on a sunny day! So I booked one the trolly tours ! Let me tell you if you are not planning on staying overnight here then this is your best bet ! I wish I could stay here for longer, should have stayed overnight. Because I didn't plan ahed, it was just a last minute spontaneous thing I decided day before my flight I had to come back to Miami to catch my flight! Would I come back again, if I visit Miami then I would wanna watch the music festival they have here! Maybe instead of staying in Miami I will just come straight here for a week, that sound interesting! So much to see here, too much good good . Altho there is not a single halal place here & I gotta stick with only fish & seafood ! Still it's a fun idea, Time will say .. So this place is pretty cool, loved the smell of water. Takes me back home! Lots of cool places to visit ? Some expensive yummy food lol. I can stay here for hours just taking pictures or videos! Tested some yummy strong coffees which I loved, and I remembered what the bus driver told us not to miss key lime pie & you know me I loveee sweet so I did tried. First time ever trying key lime pie & I loved it. Didn't realize how sweet it actually is & thought of becoming 16 again when I could eat sweet all day. I guss getting old isn't fun huh..!

But this is also not a typical park, as there is no playground or typical park amenities. They do have free parking (convenient to the beach too). The park was named after Charles "Sonny" McCoy (former key west mayor for 5 terms and Monroe County Commissioner) The "Indigenous" portion of the park's name is the concept that this park was originally designed for. They wanted to protect the native species of trees from being destroyed and fully removed by developers, so around the park are a huge variety of trees. Okay, not exactly exciting stuff yet and not much of a reason for that 5 star rating. They have a Wildlife Rescue center and a wildlife trail; which the kids always love. What sold me on this place is the brand new BOCCE BALL courts (approximately 8 of them). I very much enjoy playing and finding a professional made court is very hard to find in Florida. Most parks in Broward and Palm Beach County only have grass courts and a couple on har-tru (like a tennis court) and couple are done on artificial grass (the worst). Also the majority of parks that do have them, do very minimal maintenance so the courts are usually in a state of deterioration. These courts are made professionally (I have never seen this quality level in any public bocce ball court within 200 miles (literally). They have composite boards (so no worries regarding wood rot), they have concrete walkways (including dips to hold the out of play balls, fully lit for night play, tons of local leagues and the course material is rock sand and clay (and the play surface is incredible) Be sure to check this place out

I found it because I wanted to see the Key West chickens and I hadn't seen any at the point and there were a few there that I would be guaranteed to see. Besides chickens though are a lot of local species that are kept for conservation and education. It's a small space but we had fun, particularly the myna bird which could talk and was cute would kick out eggs from other birds' nests so they could lay their own. Devious little guys. It's a short loop around and while not quite a zoo you can get pretty close to a lot of the animals here; the turtle pond in particular, those guys wake up really quickly when you make any hand or arm gesture. All in all, it's a good find and definitely a quirky little find in quirky Key West.

Everything was outstanding as I had remembered it when I first fell in love with this place in 2020, starting with the amuse-bouche--perfect little bites that set the tone for the night. Toasted crostini topped with Roma tomato and mozzarella, paired with a slice of salami, cucumber, and cannellini beans tossed in a light vinaigrette--it was fresh, balanced, and just enough to whet the appetite. Next came a round of shared appetizers (the exact menu details escape me, but the experience certainly doesn't): scallops, lobster ravioli in a cream sauce, boneless quail in a sweet chili sauce, artichoke with mozzarella, and lobster tail. Every dish was memorable, but my favorites were the lobster tail, the impossibly tender quail with its subtly sweet sauce, and the perfectly cooked scallops. For my entrée, I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, served atop a bed of house-made pearl couscous--rich, comforting, and executed beautifully. Dessert was a true smorgasbord of scratch-made creations from Chef Richard: lemon tart, pecan pie à la mode, baked banana caramel, a light and fluffy New York-style cheesecake, and a decadent chocolate cake. We each took two bites before passing the plate to the right, repeating until nothing remained. The standout for me was the crustless cheesecake--airy, delicate, and utterly perfect. Rett provided an outstanding experience, honest suggestions for us, and even offered club soda with lemon for my son's upset stomach from the tedious red eye plane flight (should have booked Lola's later in our trip instead of the day we got here) so that he could be able to better enjoy his meal with us. All in all evening of incredible food, shared plates, and even better company, exactly how dining should be.
