We stopped in around noon last Saturday so you can see that the bakery case is quite low. Bummed to see that they didn't have any cinnamon rolls left, but opted for a cream cheese custard filled doughnut. Love the Hometown feel of the bakery, and they have a lot more breads and buns available that are not pictured. The staff were really kind and patient, unfortunately the donut was a bit dry, and the custard was too sweet for me. read more

This Bakery recently relocated to Sauk Rapids in a new building from It's old St Cloud location. We went on a Saturday Morning for some donuts. They open at 5 am on Saturday, we arrived about 8:30, they had very little variations of donuts, no visible coffee cakes, or much of anything else. We bought some donuts and took them home, we found the jelly donuts to have almost no jelly in them at all. Based on our first experience at the new location we may or may not come back. It's not like it's a new business, just relocated and it's not new product vs old. At least Coborn's, Holiday and kwik trip fill their donuts with more than a thimble full of filling. read more

This bakery is amazing with friendly staff. I have ordered several times and never fails to deliver. Walk into a delicious sweet smell of bakery goods...soft and chewy delicious cookies, cupcakes, muffins and other wonderful sweetness. The staff are always friendly and recommends what's good. I ordered a cake for a 50th wedding anniverary and was highly disappointed. This is not a product that should be put out by a bakery. Party guests laughed and said this sums up year 2020. Additionally, the cake taste was less than desirable. I would give it zero stars if I could. Go elsewhere for a cake. read more

Unfortunately, there are precious few bakeries to choose from any more in St. Cloud. They've all gone out of business, or business has gone to the local grocery monopolies. As a result, baked goods have really suffered. Thank goodness for Dutch Maid! The bakery itself has a bit of a dive-like feel. It's located on St. Cloud's East side. Don't let that fool you. The baked goods, whether donuts or cookies, are all very good. You'll find quality bismarks (raspberry, lemon), fritters (apple, blueberry), glazed flips (apple, blueberry, cherry), old-fashioned glazed donuts, delicious maple-frosted persians, great Cowboy and chocolate cookies, and more. I don't know what St. Cloud would do without Dutch Maid. read more

The best donuts in the area. They are enormous. When you buy a dozen it's really like you're getting a dozen and a half. I paid $18 for a dozen a half this morning. That's a dollar per donut. Wow!! The prices are nice! So good it is worth getting up early for. read more

Went there Saturday morning around 930am. Not a huge selection of donuts so I bought 7 rather than a dozen. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The donuts were huge, fresh and fluffy! They were great. The flavors were different and I could of bought a dozen easily if I had known they were going to be that good! First time here and Being from out of town I wasn't expecting much. I was well surprised! The staff was friendly and will definitely go back. Nice to see small owned businesses still open in this day and age. Would recommend anyone wanting a yummy donut. read more

We were directed here when we asked about doughnuts at a local hotel. We are glad we asked this question. 1st order of business, the caramel roll. Order it, but eat it last. 2ndly, bear claws bigger than your head. Amazing. 3rded, standard glazed doughnuts, big, soft, pillowy, delicious. They make possibly the best donuts in Saint Cloud. A quaint little hole-in-the-wall bakery with little amenities, they offer a small array of generously sized donuts. Each employee is friendly and down to earth. They have been around forever and appear to be vibrant. It would be a shame if they ever had to move and lose that old world feel. I recently ordered cookies (9 dozen) and buns ahead for my son's graduation party. When I went to pick them up 4 days later they said all my order was ready to go. When I got home, I looked in the box of cookies only to find out they had put 3 dozen cookies of oatmeal raisin in the box instead of this special oatmeal cookie that the baker recommended. I called them up, and they said they ran out of the special oatmeal cookies I ordered, and they just subbed the oatmeal raisin out without telling me. I asked them why they wouldn't have said something when I went to pick them up? They basically had no reason and blamed it on the day crew. They told me I had to come across town and bring back the oatmeal raisin cookies to get my money back. I was very upset since it was about 25 minutes across town and 25 minutes back to get the money back, and my party was starting in 2 hours. I said I did not want these cookies. I didn't know if I would have enough time to get the replacement of some left over cookies, they had left in stock. I ran out of time and called them back after the weekend to get my credit for the oatmeal raisin cookies that I never ordered. They would not give me the credit. They admitted it was their fault and that they didn't make enough cookies or tell me when I left they gave me the wrong cookies, but they didn't care and decided it was my problem they didn't fill the order correctly. The manager was rude over the phone and turned their mistake into my problem. I was very specific on my order when I order them. I actually told the baker when I placed my order, I specifically did not like oatmeal raisin. I would not recommend them for a bakery. They can not fill orders correctly, and don't take responsibility for their mistakes. I asked to talk to the manager, and she said she was it and said the baker and owner already made their decision.
