Although, the renters kept the front of the property mowed and edged, they never mowed edged or trimmed anything in the backyard for over 3 years! It was horrible. The grass and weeds were over 3 feet tall. The poured concrete flower beds edging was buried under half a foot of over grown sod and the bushes were wild and unkempt. It was a mess. I was really upset at the amount work and time needed to just put the yard in order At least 50 hours of work would be needed just just to mow, weed and edge. I was overwhelmed. I told my sad story to someone who recommended I call Wendell at Lake City Lawn Maintenance. I gave them call expecting them to either overcharge me or only doing the work if I signed a weekly contract . Wendell came out. He too was surprised by the amount of overgrowth on my 1/4 acre suburban lot. He asked if he could take pictures to price it properly and said he would give me a quote in a few hours. I approved his estimate and he scheduled me for Saturday Wendell and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30 am and immediately started to work They worked long and hard without even wanting to stop for a break. At around 3:30 pm it started to rain. Thus, the crew had to come back Sunday morning. Again they worked about 7 hours straight thru with no break. Both days they filled up their truck w my excessive amount of yard waste At the end of the second day they finally finished. My yard looked beautiful. I was surprised to find hidden under vines in the tall grass a full sized relatively new fire pit left by the renters! I guess they didn't see the fire pit hidden in the weedy meadow that was my backyard I thanked Wendell and his team. I commented that I now could play in garden again and planned to lower the height of of one of my hedges. Then, when I thought Wendell went to his truck to write out the bill, I found that he went out and shaped the hedges I was planning to do. I expected to be charged for the additional hedges but was pleasantly surprised. No up charge! He just was being a nice guy. Wendell and Lake City Lawn Maintenance are the most reliable, affordable, honest and hard working landscapers I have ever used. I would give them 6 stars if possible

We finally got a hold of them on the phone, and they agreed to come out a few days later to fix the sprinklers on our rental property. We'd already done a lot of work for them by finding the problem area and digging out around it. They said they would be there Friday or possibly Monday, but we didn't hear anything after that. We called multiple times, and got no answer. Finally got a hold of them on Tuesday, and the receptionist/scheduler, Sierra, told us that the "sprinkler individual" didn't have time and couldn't get to it either of those days. No call to let us know, no explanation, and no apology or offers to come out another day. We asked when they could come out again, and they said Friday, and the same thing happened. We rescheduled 4 different times, and they made us wait ANOTHER WEEK between each new appointment. Each time we didn't receive any sort of call or follow up afterwards, and had no idea what had happened. Because it was a rental we had to keep sending people out to see if they actually did anything. Finally, our property manager told us that the hole we dug ourselves around the sprinkler was filled, many weeks after we initially called Utah Valley Lawn Care. Still, no follow up or contact from the company at all. Two weeks later we got a very basic bill (sent to the rental property, not us), and it didn't list anything other than parts and labor, and with different rates than we'd agreed upon.
