Thus, I figured it was about time I wrote a review. Before I continue, note that there is no Fido...at least not that I'm aware of. Seriously, Irene has been a blessing in mine and my dogs' lives. She has been taking care of my pups for months now. Initially, I wasn't sure if regular service was something I could afford but with the care she gives them, I realize you can't put a price on improved quality of life for my pups and for me. I know my dogs are in good hands when they're with Irene. Some examples of her awesomeness: she's very easy to get a hold of, my dogs run up to her and get excited when they see her, she goes above what's required, she reads a lot about animals so knows more than the average pet owner, she's very amiable, easy going and direct. He is amazing with my dog--the only time that my dog doesn't care that I'm leaving him behind is when he is with Doug. Doug is so great, he sends me updates while I'm away to let me know how he's eating (my dog is a very picky eater) and sends me pictures and videos of Jameson playing with the other dogs. We lost our beloved 'Molly' in Doug's care. On the second day, we received a call saying there had been a dog attack involving Molly; that one of the other dogs that was also being boarded, had attaked her. Though Molly was taken to ER for her injuries, she did not survive the attack. We lost our angel in Doug's care. We discovered that it was one of Doug's own pets that had attacked Molly. Though we reported the attack to the police and the Humane Society. Doug had argued that his dog was fighting in self deffence. Our Molly was a 6 lb. Yorkie that was a service pet for senior care facilities. Doug's dog is a 78 lb. Lab. Really !?!? One of his assistants felt horrible about what happened and mentioned similar events as happening in the past. The staff member had also said most of the possitive reviews on Yelp are from mock accounts that Doug and his staff posted. Please do your own research before trusting you pet with him.

Cats and dogs, it is not easy to find a cat sitter in San Diego, we no longer could depend on family and friends, so this was a huge weight off our shoulders, now that we have Paws Play, we can go away whenever we want and know that our cat will be well cared for. The Hope2K9 adoption experience was exceptional…read more The pup that we rescued (Freyja) was full of love and nervous energy. We decided to rescue her a few days before Hope2K9 had an open spot to start her training. When we brought Freyja home from the rescue we learned that she was part shark and part sled dog. On our first walk she was trying to pull us up the street with the force of an entire team of sled dogs. When we got home from the walk we gave her a "indestructible dog toy" which she managed to destroy within 5 minutes. At this point we were nervous about the potential challenges we were going to be facing with training. During the 3 week training process Cam kept us updated on our pups progress. The second night we received a short video of Cam walking a well behaved Freyja. The 2 in person training sessions were well organized and covered all the commands and how to leverage the training tools used to train our pup. The experience did not end with the 3 week training because Hope2K9 has been there to answer our questions.

It has been one year since I adopted Maddie and that is why this review is over due! Hope2k9 trains rescued dogs, teaches them good manners and social skills. I couldn't be more pleased with finding my forever best friend. I definitely will go back to foster or adopt another dog. Not only do they work very hard at training they also allow you to visit for more training if you want. This is a wonderful rescue and I couldn't be more happier with my pup!
