I called him and asked him to also do my boyfriend's tax return and we have a son together so we wanted to know what scenarios would be best for us which is obviously a normal question to ask your tax preparer. He forgot to file anmendment for last year's return when he said he would, when my PMI was left off a form intentionally by my bank because they weren't sure whether tax laws allowed people to deduct PMI then sent it after i already filed my taxes. Anthony told me in writing he'd amend it and then forgot as he always "forgets" since he is very unorganized and obviously too busy to spend the appropriate time with each customer. He said "your tax return has obviously been filed after your initial review. If there are errors I will of course correct the returns." He said of course but didn't file my amendment for last year! Then he goes on to say "If you had all theses questions which need answers you should have set up an appt (or call) so we could have discussed before any return was filed." I did call him and email him to ask him specifically if he could run these scenarios and he told me he'd do my boyfriend's tax return and obviously just said yes to appease me and get the new business. He goes on to say "It is difficult to have these email barrages and try to keep track of all the questions and answers, especially projections of filing a joint married return when you are not married. Arrange a time to call and I will gladly answer your questions but I will not continue the email confusion. You should know that our minimum fee is now $350 for any return and it is only because of your relationship to John that your and RJ fee is low. It is not our job to continue to run alternatives scenarios in the normal process of doing a return." It's not a tax preparers job to run different scenarios!? If you're thinking of using Anthony to do your tax returns, RUN! He's overpriced and not customer focused or friendly and dumps his work on his son Nick who also dropped the ball and filed our taxes two weeks after we sent them. My boyfriend used to pay his CPA less than $100 and sat down for half hour to do his return and it was done that day. I convinced him to use Anthony because he promised he'd run these scenarios but he lied to get the business and charged him $200 and me $250 and now i gotta pay this guy $450 of my hard earned money when he didn't do the job he promised. Finally he ends his email reply (after months of asking the same questions with literally no response until now) "We of course try to provide quality service but sometimes things do not go smoothly and I apologize for that." This guy is all over the place and I wouldn't trust him with something as important as your tax return. Also his secretary mailed my tax return back to me with full social security written on it and I never got it. It was "lost" in the mail and I've had attempts at my identity being stolen since. Just an overall terrible experience and I'm sorry I ever had him do any of my returns and hope to prevent these same issues from happening to anyone else!

I had great experience in prior years but this year is different. I dropped off our tax documents…read moreon Thursday March 5th and usually about 2 weeks to be completed as we were told in prior years. We received a call on Friday March 20th by one of their office staff that our return was ready to be picked up. My husband, son and I went to sign and pick up our tax forms and thought we would be receiving our IRS return roughly 2 weeks from picking up our forms. It is now Monday March 30 almost April and our return was never sent to the IRS by their office and this I only found out because I had logged on to the IRS website to check on our refund but they did not have our information so I called Covati and Janhsen and that's when they said it was never sent to the IRS. So if I didn't check the IRS website for our refund, I would have never known my return wasn't filed. I trusted their office with our documents and return yet our forms just sat somewhere in their office without being filed and without even a call. If I didn't call them who knows how long before our return would have been sent to the IRS if even at all. So disappointed unfortunately we will not be returning.

There was no pressure selling, no trying to con me into buying a CD or something other investment. He didn't ask me about my mortgage or try to swindle me into nonsense. It was great. Every time I go there now, people recognize my face and make a point to say hello. I'm not sure how they train their staff, but other banks could take a page out of their book. It feels homey and like I'm well cared for. I'd highly recommend this specific location as well if you need to open up any accounts. Like I said - no pressure, quick, and easy.

Also since my works business account is here I am forced to deal with this bank until they decide to stop dragging there feet and change.
