Otherwise it does give you the benefit of having free parking for students. You just need to sign up at the office and they give you a pass up until the end of summer. The profs at Trent has extremely nice and are available to meet whenever needed. Every single prof I have had, I didn't have any issues with them. With a small campus, everyone has a familiar face. Every morning I walk in, the person sitting at the front desk always says hi and to have a good day. I haven't seen a more friendlier staff and school. Loved my experience here!

The worst Residence I have ever seen. The housing department is easily the most unorganized and unprofessional group of people I have ever met. If you are living here and have a question or concern, do not expect it to be addressed. Expect ignorant unprofessional staff members at this residence. Not to mention that the majority of the students living at this campus are being evicted currently.

Their parking sucks, there's no where to pay & they don't accept debit visa which sucks. Also, not enough hot people there. They were relatively meh. However, they had this one building that was quite nice though! Seemed pretty new and clean. Also, I felt like no one knew where everything was. I was trying to find the UA building and people had no idea where that was at all. We asked about 15 different people and no one knew. We were all pointed into the wrong direction.

After signing contracts these students found out osap does NOT cover this school and they are now on the hook for over $5000. When complaining to the school administrator, she proceeds to tell them that that recruiter has been fired. She will work with the students to help get loans etc. after doing 200 hours unpaid placement some students are still waiting for another 100 hours that they say has to be done in community care with Right at Home(their business).They say you can work with community care from one hour a day up to 8 but that's unlikely. So it will take weeks to get the 100 hours that are left. They never return calls and any complaints fall on deaf ears!!! Each person passes the buck! Do not fall for the hard sell. This school administration is a joke, and they should be shut down legally. I don't know how many past students they have conned but it just has to stop.

York University has a Markham campus. As Lizzo would say, it's about damn time! It welcomed its…read morefirst group of students in September 2024. As both an alumna and a benefactress of York University, I got updates from the university on the construction and completion, and everything else for the last few years. During the pandemic, alumni got to tune into details about this construction of the Markham campus. Even Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti was on the call, thrilled to have this campus focus on technology and entrepreneurship, while stimulating the city's economy with more jobs in the heart of downtown Markham. Both undergraduate and master degree programs are available here. They are mainly technology and entrepreneurship programs. Markham is known for a bunch of high-tech and life sciences companies and startups. It makes sense that this campus would have programs that would make the transition to these sectors easier for graduates. I graduated with a computer science and math degree. I would have been happy with a short commute northbound if this campus existed when I was an undergrad. That's life, though. You see improvements for future students, which makes me content for change and opportunities. This building is located on the southeast corner of Enterprise and University Boulevards. I have not see anyone park on the street. There are a couple of parking lots nearby that require payment. The daily maximum is $15. It's not horrible, but it can add up, especially if you're a student. The building is modern and cheerful. I missed the open house yesterday. However, I can tell that students find it comfortable. No matter when I drive by, there are students studying or hanging out on the main floor of this building. Student residences are also in this building. I feel that there are a few more touches that need to be done to the entrance facing Enterprise Boulevard. This campus is a nice addition to Markham and its downtown area. I hope that I'll be able to check it out soon. I won't have the same connecting dropping by this location as I do at both the Keele and Glendon campuses, but I welcome getting to know it as an alumna. (439)
