My results back then were more than anything I could have hoped for. This time I broke my ankle and needed emergency surgery. Two weeks after my surgery, I was told to start PT for at least 8-10 weeks. There was no doubt in my mind where I was going for my PT. The doctors at POPT are beyond amazing and really miracle workers as far as I am concerned. Dr Phil Lombardo is so knowledgeable and goes above and beyond in making sure all your issues are addressed. He is patient, answers all your questions and truly makes you feel cared for. There are so many things that set them apart from other PT facilities but what stands out for me as the most important factor is that the doc is hands on throughout your entire session. They don't just send you on your way for 40 minutes to do exercises on your own. Either Dr Phil, Dr Scott or one of the doctoral students were there to guide you, watch you and just be with you while you are doing what you need to do to get back to 100%. Not only are Dr Phil and Dr Scott unbelievable at what they do, Adrianna, the doctoral student doing a rotation there, was the sunshine everyone needed to make a painful process not so bad. Each and every intern there made me feel comfortable and would help me thru any task I was having a difficult time with. Cassiana is the first person you speak to and see when you walk in the door. She is an absolute pleasure and just adds to the specialness of this practice. I can not stress enough how Dr Phil and the entire staff at POPT turned such a traumatic event in my life into such a positive, dare I say fun, and most importantly, a successful recovery.

I got their name from a personal recommendation and I later found out that lots of other people from my community also get their physical therapy here. They work with you 1 on 1 and everyone from Evelyn at the front desk to all the other physical therapists there are both nice and care about getting their patients back on their feet again more than anything else. Dr. Lombardo wanted to know all about my physical therapy issues and he gives me all sorts of useful tips for my TMJ and overall physical well being while he is working with me to help get me back on my feet again.

I have a minor pinched nerve in my lower back and I have gotten strong in my back and glutes that has eliminated any pain and tingling I have had. I have also had the added benefit of my muscles visibly gaining shape. All of the physical therapists are great. Amanda has been the therapist helping me and she challenges me without pushing me past my comfort zone. She is knowledgeable and continuously looking to make herself a better therapist for her patients. She is professional, but also makes the task of going the PT every week an enjoyable experience with her outgoing personality. I look forward to each appointment even when sometimes going to PT can feel daunting. I would highly recommend Maven to anyone in need of physical therapy. They are extremely professional and highly knowledgeable on how to help their patients get the relief and strength they need to be pain free. I higlhy

The staff / coaches are super nice, encouraging and helping you get motivated for your exercises. The members there are equally as nice and encouraging, and without judgement regardless of your fitness level. Just overall a pleasant experience for getting and staying into shape. I have not used their Physical Therapy services yet, but if/when I do, I know I'll definitely come here given how knowledgeable and great their staff is. If you are into it they also have activities outside of the gym to do together such as running local race running, Spartan races and other various activities.

I chose Edge because of the five star Yelp rating and now am writing my review to concur with the rest of the reviews. Lawrence and his team are fantastic. When I first came in for the free consultation, Lawrence listened to my problems and helped set my goals accordingly. He explained exactly what I needed done and how we would do it. His entire staff are all very knowledgeable and educated about anatomy, exercise, pain and treatment. During my sessions, I am one on one with my physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. If they happen to be doing two people at the same time, the other physical therapist or assistants will watch and make sure I'm doing my exercises correctly. The atmosphere is not only helpful and productive but also fun. I honestly look forward to coming here and just casually chatting with Lawrence, Moise and other patients. Everyone is so nice and friendly. If you need physical therapy for whatever reason, I very highly recommend Edge. They take excellent care of their patients here. They listen to me and adjust the treatments accordingly based on my comfort, pain levels and concerns. Lawrence cares deeply about his patients and his business. He is truly a professional and very good at his job and sets the tone for the rest of his staff and the overall environment.

I was initially thrilled by Bergen Medical S&S and the friendly staff. My partner and I suffer from…read morelower back and neck pain and had been searching for a provider that offered PT, chiro, acupuncture, etc. - they had it all! However, we quickly learned that it wasn't what I hoped to be. 1. "We take your insurance" - don't be fooled by this phrase. The FAQ section of the website vaguely states they accept most insurance. They did call back quickly after checking my insurance coverage. I thereafter confirmed the amounts due to reach my deductible and subsequent copay/coinsurance amounts: 2 visits to reach my deductible; copay starting the 3rd visit. I confirmed this information TWICE in the same phone call and wrote it down. This information tracked with my in-network benefits so I happily scheduled. On my third visit, I finally realized they were an out-of-network provider because they were not charging me for a copay and instead said I still had to meet my deductible. I would not have scheduled with this out-of-network provider had that been communicated clearly with me. I will say, they are not fully to blame for this as I should've taken more caution and checked with my insurance company as well. It was miscommunication and misunderstanding on both our ends. 2. My partner and I separately filled out patient forms at our initial consultation visit. Text reminders for our second appointment were both sent to my phone number with different times making me believe my appointment time had change. My partner did not receive a text. I initially made the appointment for us but I would assume the contact information to have been updated once the patient filled out the forms. I believe certain medical appointment reminders are considered Protected Health Information under HIPPA. 3. At the third visit, the doctor went over my neck x-ray with me before my scheduled acupuncture. I was prescribed x-rays for both neck & lower back. The acupuncturist shared that she had not reviewed my x-rays yet and would check with the doctor while I was undergoing treatment. Upon her return, she shared that the doctor did not receive my lower back x-ray. Both sets of x-rays were completed on the same day by the same imaging facility. Both sets of x-rays  & the radiologist's impression remarks for both sets of x-rays are available me in the imaging facility's patient portal. 4. My partner received a text reminder for his 3rd appointment: "2 appointments today beginning with chiro at 4:30PM." Upon his arrival, he did not get seen by the chiropractor first; instead he saw the acupuncturist first. 5. My acupuncture appointment finished around 5PM and saw my partner waiting in the lobby. He was told to wait there for the chiropractor. I sat with him while he waited. There was nobody at the front desk to ask how much longer we'd have to wait... Then two individuals walk to the lobby with their bags. One individual introduces himself as the chiropractor and says my partner was taken off his schedule and he is leaving so he can't see evaluate him anyways.  We were told office hours that Friday were until 6PM and my partner had been waiting for at least 15 minutes but it wasn't 5:30PM yet. 7. I cancelled any upcoming appointments following the "miscommunication" on Friday. I was told my partner had scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Wednesday. I told the receptionist that the office called him to apologize for the scheduling mix-up but he did not make an appointment. She insisted he did make an appointment and would be coming in on Wednesday. (Surprise: my partner did not schedule an appointment.) 7. I requested itemized super bills to be sent via email - separately to myself and to my partner - for record-keeping purposes in case something goes wrong with the insurance claims they submitted. My partner received his invoice with the details required for an insurance claim (i.e. procedure codes, amounts charged, services rendered). My invoice simply listed the amounts I paid for each office visit. I had so much hopes for this facility and sometimes it really is too good to be true. I understand they likely have a large volume of clients and mix-ups can happen, but the amount of "miscommunication" that's happened over the course of a week has left me disappointed and, quite frankly, disturbed by the lack of professionalism. If insurance coverage wasn't a deciding factor for you, I would still recommend this place as a one stop shop for everything related to pain management.
