When driving through PCB, I saw a sign off the highway that said "Duplin Wine - God be the Glory." Naturally, I had to pull over -- I mean, Jesus did turn water into wine, right? Massive is the only way to describe this place. It's not just a winery -- it's a whole experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The owner, an older gentleman, was incredibly kind. My fiancée and I ended up chatting with him for almost 15 minutes before we even realized it -- that's the kind of down-to-earth atmosphere they've created here. One of the highlights? The Frozen Wine Bar. They had all kinds of wine slushies, including: Jingle Juice Sweetzer (Frosted Winter Berries) Berry Bliss (Strawberry) Blueberry Freeze Electric Lemonade Margarita (Lime) Peach Bellini Pelican Red Rush (Grape & Berry) Pink Cosmo Piña Colada (Coconut & Pineapple) Primo Vino (Citrusy Sangria) Raspberry Mango Lemonade Each mix was available for purchase too, so you can take the magic home. We visited Duplin Winery just before closing time, so unfortunately we missed the full wine tasting--but we were still able to enjoy a wine flight, which was a great experience on its own. They have a huge selection to choose from, and it was fun picking out four different wines to try. The gift shop is massive and full of interesting finds--definitely worth taking time to browse. Afterward, we walked outside and were blown away by how beautiful the grounds are. There's a peaceful lake with tons of turtles (they were all waiting to be fed--it was adorable!) and so much seating scattered around the property. We stayed long enough to catch a breathtaking sunset, and it was easy to imagine this place being perfect for a wedding or special event. It's such a gorgeous and relaxing spot--we'll definitely be back earlier next time when we are back in the area to try the full tasting! read more

Beautiful setting, great value. Their wines are 98% sweet so don't come if you drink Cabernet. That said, we went on a Tuesday when their wine tastings are half off. You get 8 pours (1 oz each), crackers & a yummy cheese spread plus a glass of one of the wines from your tasting - for $20 normally, $10 on Tuesday. Hard to beat. I'm giving Duplin 5 stars because I loved the outside set up so much. The place is so cool, it has very beautiful surroundings, and it's dog friendly. They have a huge outdoor seating section, and live music. It was so fun sitting outside drinking wine and listening to music. The bartender was so nice, he let us try a taste of wine before we bought full glasses. We bought a couple pieces of cheesecake from the bakery inside and it was fantastic, one of the best key lime cheesecakes I've ever had. They have a super cute gift shop with lots of things to buy and take home. The wine tasting was just so so. I've been to quite a few wine tastings and this one was nothing special. The employee who did the tasting was not very enthusiastic, she seemed very scripted. The pours were very small. The crackers and dip and a couple of the wines were very good, but overall I would not pay for the tasting again. My review of the tasting would be 3 stars but the rest of the experience was so great they deserve 5 stars. Next time I'm in PC will hang out here and enjoy the wine, music and beautiful scenery, skip the tasting. read more

This was our 1st visit to the winery. In the tasting there were 2 groups who attend events there frequently. We opted for the tasting with crackers and dip. For those who are GF, they are happy to provide the substitute crackers. The tasting was about an hour and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We then picked up our glass of wine and walked down to the water. We sat for over an hour with the fountains behind us and a nice breeze on our face. The location is beautiful. If I could leave a zero star rating I would. The employee just told me and my party to put my girlfriends birthday cake away right in the middle of us celebrating. The cake had been sitting on the table for hours, employee saw it on the table and said NOTHING. We lit the candles sang the birthday song and sliced the cake. Then it was like a SWAT team rushing us to tell us at first it was a health coad violation, then the manager, the guy in the the flowerdy shirt in the picture, said it was against house rules. Two completely different stores. We did put the cake up, but when I confronted them on which story was right the manager said it didn't matter. He said it that's the way it was. The whole point of the winery is Family and Friends making memories. I can tell you one thing. WE will not do anymore special occasions at this place ever again. read more

Customer service when you walk in for newbies to this winery. We had 4 in our party 1 is a non drinker and right off the bat we were told no she can't go in for wine tasting she could sit at the back of the bar. This soured our impression of the Panama City Duplin Winery. Our non drinker ended up going back to the car. It was that uncomfortable manner of no accommodation. We 3 pressed on to the wine tasting. In the tasting room one chair for non drinkers. I feel and suggest your front person does not say no and takes time to explain the seating. The Wines were sweet overall good. We flew to PCB for the Grand Opening of the newest location of Duplin Winery! It was well worth the trip! The location is larger than those in Rose Hill, NC and N. Myrtle Beach, SC. However, the friendliness, Southern hospitality, and Delicious Sweet Wines are the same! We met a lot of people who were local and from the Carolinas too! We all came to show our support and love for this family owned winery! We even met the owners, Dave & Jonathan, who were very friendly and approachable! I have drinking Duplin wine since I first visited their NC location 20 years ago, so I was very excited to visit this location. My plan was to start with the tasting and then purchase a few bottles. I was shocked that the tasting was $20, plus tax, but was certain it would be worth the price, as most tastings are free. It wasn't. I was able to try 8 wines with very small pours, in a tasting that took almost an hour when it should have been at most 10 minutes...most of the time was spent listening to other people have conversations about where they were from while the server just stood there...the wine pours and tastings would have been 5 minutes total alone. We were given a dip that was made from a sauce they make, then we were told the sauce was out of stock. Question...if it is out of stock, how did you make the sample, and why are we trying something you don't have in stock? We were then given a sample of Blueberry wine that the server herself said she used to like but doesn't anymore..then she went around the room to ask if anyone even liked it. Question...if you think no one will like a sample, why is it included? We were then told our sampling includes one glass of wine at the bar, but only for the wines we tasted in the sampling. Unfortunately, I did not like any of the wines I tried, so only being allowed to have more of something I didn't like was disappointing. I walked around the store but left frustrated and did not purchase any wine, and will not be doing so going forward. read more

This place is truly amazing! They just opened in PCB so we stopped by for a wine tasting and it was so much fun!!! Our host, Darla, was so fun and very knowledgeable. The tasting was $15 and included this amazing cheese dip and crackers made with their Muscadine Pineapple Habanero sauce and cream cheese. (Of course, we went home with a bottle.). We tasted at least 10 different wines during the tasting and once the tasting was over, we sat on the back patio while enjoying our complimentary glass of wine and listened to the guy playing music. ( I believe they have someone playing most afternoons) Even with the heat outside, the patio was completely covered and had plenty of fans so that it was very relaxing and enjoyable! We came to Duplins Winery and got an education on Wines. We've done the Virtual Tour and bottled and labeled our own bottles of wine. The wine tasting is very informative about Muscadine wines. The Pina Colada Sweetzer with the Magnolia white. Man this is so good. My wife tasted hers. Then, I tasted mine and we both turned towards each other. This was probably one of the biggest wineries I've ever been to and this location was just built last year. Large retail store inside, but I recommend going for the tastings! For $16 you get 10-12 samples and then a full glass of your choice at the end, plus mango habenero cheese dip and homemade crackers. They have a bakery on site and have other food as well and a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy your drinks. They rotate the samples out seasonally too so if you go back every so often, you'll get to try new flavors. These are more sweet wines, which I enjoy, and they even have wine slushies, which I can't recommend enough. Our guided tasting was great and they give you a sheet to track what you like during the tasting. Their wines are also reasonably priced. The most expensive i saw was $19.99 but the ones I liked - like huckleberry and two of their Christmas wines - were even cheaper, like $12.99. The staff was also super friendly. It was by birthday and they were all super friendly, even during the tasting they sang happy birthday to me. I would 100% go back. They have a location in North Carolina and South Carolina too so would love to try those too. read more
