Cons: Dr. Kodros was more than 30 minutes late for my appointment, he belittled the pain I was in, and didn't spend more than 30 seconds in the exam room at a time. He didn't listen to me or the questions I had, and his diagnosis ultimately proved to be wrong. While his nurse was pleasant, the rest of the staff in the practice was not - surly receptionist, surly x-ray tech, immature interns. There are better options in Chicago and connected to Northwestern than Dr. Steven Kodros. I almost quit my primary care physician because he's the one who recommended this guy.

Though my toe had to be amputated, he was compassionate and even firm from the very first visit. He was the most amazing man with a great bedside manner & a great dr. I then needed a bonion on my right foot removed. He was the nicest and answered any questions i had took xrays and helped me through a painful procedure. I can not speak high enough about him. He is so caring and straightforward, I love everyone in the office. It is never a long wait & if your early they get you in and out quickly. I know I can only give him 5 stars but my opinion is if I could give him a million I would. I am very picky about my dr's but, from the beginning he made me comfortable & I trust him very much. Again he & the office are one of the best dr's i have seen. Please dont look any farther for any other dr. He is amazing. I cant thank him enough for all he has done for me. He can never retire in my eyes. Sincerely Lori Myers

For many years, I had a growth on my left hand index finger that resembled a wart or nevus. My…read moredermatologist try to freeze it multiple times but it still came back slowly over the years. They suggest I find a hand specialist, which lead me to find Dr. Metz at Core in my Cigna PPO network. First visit doctor simply examined the finger, took X-rays, and did an ultrasound of the finger to see if he could determine a diagnosis - x-rays and scan looked clear. To avoid future issues he recommended we remove it. Follow-up visit in Elks Grove Village for surgery was easy. Dr. Metz fully scrubbed up (which is something my derm never does). Dr. Metz removed the growth and sutured the small incision with great care and precision. Follow-up visit was simple - stitches removed and confirmed diagnosis of scar tissue/nevus. Would NOT hesitate to see doctor or recommend him or the Core Orthopedic Group for any future medical needs.

Less than 5 months after having knee surgery, I ran a marathon. That's right. Dr. Rawal IS incredibly gifted. My scars are minimal and he clearly got me back to running in an unbelievable amount of time. Dr. Rawal is not much like others in his profession. I never waited more than a couple minutes in his waiting room (what??? Yes, I am sure I'm talking about an orthopedic surgeon). He spent time with me explaining my diagnosis, showing me the MRI images, answering my litany of questions, allaying my fears and truly caring about me. He also got me in for my first preference of surgery date. On my surgery day, he calmed me down when my anxiety began to kick in. He also showed me pictures from surgery both in recovery and again in my follow-up visit. I couldn't have been happier about my experience with him at the Hinsdale Surgical Center. I highly recommend and endorse Dr. Rawal for your orthopedic surgery needs. You will not find another surgeon as customer service oriented AND talented as him!
