I don't even know where to start. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional in so many ways. I came in for a moderate allergic reaction on my eyes, just wanting to make sure it wasn't life threatening or anything crazy. My wait time was pretty short, but once I got into the room the experience went immediately downhill. The assistant wrote my information down on a sticky note, which already made me uncomfortable to say the least. She was like cramming to fit all of the information on there and it did not seem legible. Didn't take blood pressure, which is also concerning. And this isn't a huge deal but the entire place smelled strongly of chemicals. Then the assistant really loudly talked about it with the doctor in the other room, who came in and touched my face without gloves (wtf). She was pretty rude, and kept getting mad at me for using products on my face (I literally don't even wash my face or wear any makeup so idk what she was talking about). Then she needed a "second opinion" because she "doesn't have a degree in pharmacology," so within minutes she walked me to the in-house pharmacy and again, talked loudly to the pharmacist in front of the entire rest of the urgent care about my symptoms. Not sure if the pharmacist is supposed to be weighing on my treatment so heavily, but whatever. The pharmacist also signed forms "for me" on the kiosk, so I guess I agreed to something about privacy (what a joke considering they yelled my symptoms and treatment plan to the entire building). Also thought it was odd that the doctor didn't recommend any follow-up, like an allergist or something, considering the reaction looked pretty bad. Overall, I have no words. I probably won't even use the meds she gave me because I do not trust any of their medical opinions. My allergic reaction was relatively mild as far as urgent care visits, so if you have an issue that is even remotely more severe, do not come here. I would not trust these people with your health. Lost 75 dollars, 1 hour of my life, and confidence in the medical field. Unbelievable. read more

I don't understand the bad feedback regarding this place. Two weeks ago, I became very sick with Flu A and bronchitis and needed to see a doctor. It was 9 p.m. on a Sunday, and DuPage Immediate Care was the only place open. I was initially concerned after reading some negative reviews, but due to the severity of my symptoms, I decided to go anyway. I was seen by Dr. Cynthia, who was extremely attentive and thorough. She did her initial observations including listening to my breathing and checking my nose and throat. She then ordered a chest X-ray (without me even asking), which showed she was doing her due diligence. She showed me the images, explained the results clearly, told me what was going on, and prescribed the appropriate medications. I followed her treatment plan and began feeling much better. A few days ago, I developed a worsening and unrelated sinus infection. Because of my positive experience the first time, I returned to DuPage Immediate Care. Once again, Dr. Cynthia was attentive, listened carefully to my symptoms, diagnosed the issue, and prescribed the appropriate medications. She is kind, professional, and genuinely listens to her patients instead of brushing them off like some doctors I've experienced in the past. This place is scary bad and should be shut down. They have zero clue. Took my 11 year old daughter here for a strep test and potentially pink eye. After waiting 30+ minutes to get in to see a doctor, we didn't even see a doctor, it was a trainee, and she was misdiagnosed and given medication that the pharmacist when we picked it up told us that doctors don't normally prescribe based on the symptons. After expecting a strep test, they told us that they don't do a rapid test because the ownership somehow doesn't want to purchase rapid tests, but based on their assessment they think it is strep. Long story short, we went to EndeavorHealth Immediate care in Hinsdale the next day and everything we were told and prescribed the night before was incorrect. No strep and no pink eye and the medication she was put on should not have been prescribed. Midwest Express Clinic in Elmhurst is equally as bad. Don't go to these non-hospital affiliated immediate cares...they are always a disaster and misdiagnose. read more

I brought my daughter to this facility 4/29/24 for injuries received from abuse. We waited to see a Dr. for 2 hours of which 1 hour was in a sweltering exam room. When Dr Cynthia finally barged into the room (no knock) she rudely reported she was sending my daughter to the emergency room. She could not treat her, they didn't handle such cases. My daughter was very agitated at called the Dr out on her behavior and the reason why she wouldn't treat her. The Dr accused my daughter of being violent, of which she was not. She was an agitated and had no trouble verbalizing her displeasure. Needless to say We do not recommend this facility for anyone to utilize. The only reason we have given 1 star instead of no stars is the front office staff was very professioal and responded well. read more

Dr. Cynthia is the worst. Unprofessional as hell! The tech was kind and professional. Asked me what tests had been done for my daughter and I really had no idea. All I knew is that it was flu and covid. How it was ran, I couldn't tell. As we waited for the provider, she walked in to see my daughter and her first question was "you work in healthcare and you don't know the difference between a rapid and pcr test?" After checking her and putting her in her place, her whole attitude changed. She needs to retire. Do NOT bring your kids here. I never will again. Don't go here if you want a proper diagnoses. Dr. Cynthia just misdiagnosed my 10 month old nephew with strep throat and ear infectiona prescribed him 3 medications that he didn't need. One being a steroid another being an antibiotic and another ear drops. My sister was unaware about the steroids until she went and picked up his medicine. Something didn't seem right to her so she made him a doctor appointment with his own doctor. well, nothing was wrong with my nephew. She was just so willing to throw a baby on any type of medication. Visited in desperation the night before leaving on vacation, thinking I had strep. They literally forgot me in my treatment room (never gave me my test results!), shut down the facility, and locked me inside by myself. I was absolutely terrified, wandering around and calling out to see if anyone was left there. I had to find my way out a sort of back door through an office - parking lot completely empty. Covid SCAM to its fullest! Shame on DuPage IC for taking advantage of people during a pandemic. I am a Nurse Practitioner, have been one for over 12 years, and have never seen a medical scam such as this. My insurance was billed for a level 3 or 4 visit for a rapid Covid test? - No vital signs taken, no temperature, no Spo2, no BP, no pulse. - The physician never did any assessment. Did not listen to my lungs or heart. No physical assessment whatsoever. Did not even come within 6 feet of me. He literally talked to me from the door entryway. -My Covid test was "misplaced" and I had to return 9 hours after I was originally tested to be swabbed again. Avoid this scam at all cost. We had the worst experience , staff was unprepared and didnt seem like they knew what they were doing. The doctor had us check his heart rate from his watch instead of checking it herself. When I questioned her she got very defensive and still never checked it or even took his blood pressure. The door was left open while discussing our medical issue and the place was very dirty. This place charges an additional $125 on top of the normal fee for a Covid test ($250) bc a doctor comes to talk to you (for less than a minute) before your Covid test. I watched three people go up before me who struggled to pay this extra fee that they weren't aware of. This is just sad. Wow. I wish I'd put more stock into these reviews before going into this clinic. I came in with what I suspected was a UTI. Check in process was easy--I registered for a spot online, and showed up on time. I was promptly checked in, and then led to a room. In the room, I explained to the nurse that I thought I had a UTI. I have had one before, many years ago, and thought I recognized the symptoms. My blood pressure was taken, as well as my temp. The nurse then handed me a specimen cup, and told me to go to the restroom. I was not given a sanitary wipe (a crucial step for collecting the sample, otherwise it will be contaminated). I was also not given the right instructions for how to collect a clean sample. The bathroom I was shown to was disgustingly dirty (pee all over the toilet seats), and I had to replace their toilet paper roll for them. They had also run out of soap, so I couldn't wash my hands after I'd collected the sample. The sample was analyzed, and the doctor came in and "confirmed" that I had a UTI. I put "confirmed" in quotations...because this would turn out to be a misdiagnoses. Big Yikes. We'll get to that part in a bit. The doctor then took my heart rate, and pressed down on my kidneys. He determined that I had a severe UTI, and that I needed an intravenous dose of antibiotics on the spot. A nurse then came in, and poked around my arms to look for a vein. Because she "could not feel any" in my arms, she took off her medical gloves and touched me with her bare hands. I'm normally fine with that, but she had incredibly long manicured nails with gunk underneath the nails. Also, considering covid, I felt uncomfortable being touched by her bare hands, since she hadn't sanitized her hands prior to touching me. She wasn't able to find a vein in either of my arms, and instead stuck the huge IV needle in the back of my hand. My hand is very small (I'm 5'2), and the needle was nearly larger than my palm. It was painful, and when she removed the needle after the IV was empty, my hand spurted blood like something out of a horror film. It got on the bed that I was laying on. My hand was bruised for a week. Also, I have previously donated blood before, and none of the nurses had trouble finding my veins in my arms. After the IV was removed, she took the entire IV bag (with the needle that was in my hand STILL ATTACHED TO IT) and put the whole thing in the garbage can. I am not talking about the sanitary disposal that needles are supposed to go into (by the way, the needle was uncapped when she put it into the garbage--a hazard!). She literally took the whole thing and put it in the garbage where you usually throw paper towels. I have attached photos to this review so you can see. I am pretty sure this is malpractice, or at the very least, dangerous and unsanitary. Afterwards, I was prescribed a round of antibiotics--levofloxacin, the strongest antibiotic for this kind of ailment. If you google it online, there is actually a long history of criticism for the drug, and it is considered to be used only as a "last defense" not as a first line of treatment. The doctor said he would call me within two days to tell me my test results. This did not happen. I waited for a call, and never received it. The drug made me feel ill, so I stopped taking it, hoping I could get a confirmation of my condition before I continued with the powerful drug. I called over to the clinic, only to be told that he was not working there that day. I was directed to talk to the doctor on call that day, who told me that my test results were "inconclusive and contaminated". She told me that I could make an appointment to come in and re-test. Fed up, I decided to go to another clinic, where I was tested, and my results came back clear of UTI. If anyone is looking for a great doctor, I recommend Christine Sutton with dupage medical group. She listened to my concerns, and my experience at this clinic, and told me what I had experienced was ridiculous. Overall, going to this clinic was frustrating and even dangerous. I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I actually had a decent experience here, and am not afraid to share. :) Due to having the worst insurance in the world(Cigna high deductible, why wouldn't I want to pay $1400 for my son's allergy tests? Does the hourly make up for it? I suppose, but I digress.), I was forced to head here after a Achilles' tendon sprain from my choice of entry into an inground pool. I had called prior to arrival, and they returned my call in a timely manner informing me what kind of costs I was to incur. Flat fees are great to know, and hearing I would be charged $50 for an X-ray in addition to $80 for the actual office visit put my mind at ease. I headed over there limping as I was unsure what the overall outcome would be. The greeting staff were nice enough, both cordial and professional. I liked the fact there were free snacks such as Starbucks coffee, granola bars, juices, teas, bottled water and such. The wait was approximately 25 minutes, but I was happy to see there was a charging station for my phone. I was later escorted into a waiting room by the same gentleman whom I spoke to over the phone. Apparently I'm memorable. :) Short and to the point process: BP, HR, etc. I was then taken to the X-ray and the cordial gentleman took 3 X-Rays, all the while calming my paranoia about being overcharged for 3 rather than 1. Ha, ha! I literally waited for at least 30 minutes for the results, if not longer. Yet, the MD who discussed the results was very sweet and kind. He even personally walked me out as I am unable to do so on my own without the assistance of crutches. I will definitely return, as I found their customer service to be excellent. read more

I felt uncomfortable with the lack of cleanliness throughout the clinic. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable when the doctor left my door open and discussed my medical information with other patients in the hallway. Staff did not seem prepared (frequently running out of the room to grab things). The X-ray table was rusted and dirty. I saw the doctor touch a patient who had strep (I know this because their door was open as well) and not wash his hands. He then came in my room and touched my foot (I came in with a hurt ankle). I also saw multiple patients go in and out of rooms without anyone cleaning the beds. After waiting for two hours, the doctor came in and discussed my X-rays for less than a minute and then handed me a work note. Unprofessional and unclean environment. read more

I had to go in late because of sinus infection with post nasal drip. The wait was not bad. But what really made me so happy was Dr. Mark Holterman ( I think that's his name). He came in prepared and I did not have to repeat myself. He knew exactly what was wrong and called my prescriptions right way. he was friendly and knowledgeable and understanding. We all know medical professionals are overwhelmed and backed up. Our issue has nothing to do with the medical professionals care as we never made it to them. It is the complete mismanagement of this clinic that was so shocking, all the way around, communication, technology, customer service, and basic administrative knowledge of an urgent care. Son had a rash that we thought we should get checked out just in case. This clinic had an online check in that said 50 minute wait time, cool with us, if it said 4 hours we would have been ok with that as well since this wasn't an emergency. Believing it is accurate and seeing our turn in line go from #10 to #2 in line we showed up 1 hour after check in. First issue was that the receptionist said they couldn't figure out insurance, which is a surprise as we ve had this federal BCBS PPO for over 15 years without ever having anyone confused about it as it is one of the most common one in the country. I also overheard her not able to figure another patients Illinois state PPO which is usually straightforward. Nevertheless, we were checked in and moved to a patient room within 10 minutes of arrival. No update on our insurance situation at this point. We then ended up being in the room for an hour and a half without anyone checking! I came out to see what was going on and noticed that two patients who had come in after us and were just signing up when we were already there were already checking out. I asked for an update and the receptionist, a completely different one told me she doesn't know and to go find a nurse who can give me an update. No apology or concern that I was visibly frustrated. I Couldn't find a nurse and doctors are just walking by you without talking. we waited another 10 minutes and then I decided enough is enough and left. They burnt up half our day without any consideration. In this day of age, there is no need for patient to be waiting an hour and a half in a patient room in an urgent care. be honest, let us know you are backed up and what time you need us to come back and we will be there. Most patients don't live more than 5 or 10 minutes from the clinic. Could have gone and completed other errands instead of being locked up waiting for service that was never delivered. Have been to two other urgent cares in the area and they are leaps and bounds ahead of this clinic in administrative management as well as cleanliness and highly recommend looking elsewhere until they address their administrative failures. read more

They refused service to my son who didn't have the $35 copay. He asked them to send a bill to our home and his parents would pay. However, that was unacceptable to them and they refused to provide him service. In emergency situations, responding doctors and other healthcare providers are required to stabilize the patient's condition regardless of the patient's ability to pay for the treatment or provide proof of insurance. This is required by the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA). Obviously I am reporting this to the IDFPR. read more

I just had a terrific experience and will definitely return. Barely any wait time. The exam room was clean. The assistant did all the prep work (blood pressure, temp, questions, history). The doctor was warm and friendly. He diagnosed my issue efficiently and made sure I understood the meds he prescribed. He even wrote me a note for work. I picked up the meds in the office pharmacy. The pharmacist was awesome. Super friendly. Efficient. I've been with my GP for many years, but this experience was so good, that I'm thinking about changing. Current doctor is part of a huge medical group that is inefficient - the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Love my doctor, but hate the red tape. This practice is small, so they can concentrate on each patient. read more

This is one of the few places open til midnight so I have come here often and always been satisfied with the care I received. I would recommend this place for when you know what is wrong with you and have a general idea of what you need (e.g. my throat hurts and I need a strep test / it burns when I pee and I need a UTI test and antibiotics, etc.). I would not come here with a big medical mystery in need of a diagnostic miracle, unless it was urgent and no other options. Plan to wait at least 20-30 minutes even if you're the only patient there. I have been here a couple times bc I live so close but I will never ever go back. The guy came in and tried to give me an iv. He pricked me numerous times and kept saying oh no oh no. I ended up telling him I wanted someone else bc he was making me nervous. The doctor comes in and says everything's fine it's just the medicine was going slow in the iv. Which doesn't make it ok to say oh shit. I hate doctors and just felt like I was being examined by a student just entering grad school. I come here all the time when I'm sick or anything really. Whenever I've come the wait time is very short and check in is always easy at least for me. They have water and juice and coffee to take if you want some and even a cell phone charging station. And if you go in early enough you can get your prescription done there at the pharmacy that they have. Great service and will always come here. read more

Worst experience in a clinical setting. Dr. Cynthia Wollenschlager immediately came in and insisted I do a COVID test, after I told the nurse that I have been working from home and have not met with anyone outside on my household. I was exposed with my boyfriend who was positive one month ago and I developed all the symptoms, but tested negative. We quarantined away from my household. Being sick I did not get continuous tests because the wait was always long and it made me very tired to stand. I also experienced chest pains and did not want to exert myself and exacerbate the symptoms, as all the medical professionals told us rest and vitamins are the best way to treat mild covid. I mentioned that I quarantined about 17 days as my family is very high risk and they were nervous about having me back because I was still having symptoms. I chose to give them the comfort and stayed the extra days that were no obligation to me. She mocked me and said that the recommendation is 10 days, even though CDC is recommending 14 day. What she said was out of context because it's 10 days IF you aren't experiencing symptoms. She also told me its okay to be around your family as she had it and her parents didn't contract it. This advice is the reason we are in a pandemic. Ethically, as a doctor you cannot make suggestions based on their personal beliefs and need to follow the science/ CDC. Instead of helping me, as I have been experiencing severe chills/ shaking with a high fever for three days she wanted to fight me. I was the one offering suggestions because I came for help. It's embarrassing that no logic or alternative suggestion were even put in front of me. Dr. Wollenschlager is an infectious disease specialist, who kept her mask under her nose and told me she sees sick patients all the time and I don't look sick. Mind you I was dressed in two sweaters, a vest, a winter coat just to keep myself from shaking and I had a blanket in the car with the heat on max. She wrote down the tests I asked her, commenting I wanted too much (EKG for the tightness in my chest, blood test to rule out bacterial infection) and told me to go somewhere else. read more
