We always come here when our family gets hit with the common cold, strep throat, or flu. Each time they've been very kind to us. The waiting time is a little long but the process is very easy and smooth. Thank you all to work here for your efforts.

Waited outside for 4 hours in line. Then was billed $1,000 for a Covid test. Scamming people out of money during a pandemic.

Covid SCAM to its fullest! Shame on DuPage IC for taking advantage of people during a pandemic. I am a Nurse Practitioner, have been one for over 12 years, and have never seen a medical scam such as this. My insurance was billed for a level 3 or 4 visit for a rapid Covid test? - No vital signs taken, no temperature, no Spo2, no BP, no pulse. - The physician never did any assessment. Did not listen to my lungs or heart. No physical assessment whatsoever. Did not even come within 6 feet of me. He literally talked to me from the door entryway. -My Covid test was "misplaced" and I had to return 9 hours after I was originally tested to be swabbed again. Avoid this scam at all cost. They will be closed down soon enough for INSURANCE FRAUD.

We know exactly what I need and I've expressed that I am in discomfort and I just need the cream that he gave me last time, He said no. We have seen her once a year or twice a year for three years for my two son's various flu and other injuries. We are so grateful she is there. Please don't leave, Dr Kelly! If every provider were like her, our medical field would be serving all patients SO well. Here's why: She always thinks of everything without me even asking, from meds, to at home things to do, to a school note, without hesitation. She always makes a little bit of small talk with my sons, but it's like she really cares. Bonus: The place is clean, the front desk staff is friendly, calm and efficient. They smile and are efficient and great with insurance and I haven't ever received a crazy bill from them ever. The wait time has never exceeded 15 minutes. We are out within 45 min including payment and lab tests. I am not getting paid by them to say all this stuff LOL haha! I don't know anyone there either....but I just have to call out this example of urgent care DONE RIGHT. Dr Kara's-Hedrick, DNP, please always continue being the best urgent care provider we've seen! To the staff: Stay well and take care of yourselves and know that your job MEANS A LOT to the community. Your kindness and helpful demeanor makes all the difference when we are feeling ill!

But today- due to some flu shot bureaucracy- I found myself at the Take Care Clinic, located inside select Walgreens, trying to get a flu shot as my regular flu shot provider came up empty. This place was amazing! Staffed with only two people- a nurse practitioner (Lauren) and her assistant (Irma), they moved through a large number of people quickly and efficiently. We were told that they only had 12 flu shots left and that there were people on the list before us and that we should take a seat to see if someone didn't show up. So we took a chair and waited. We didn't have to wait long before Lauren called us into the room and got us our shots. Hooray! It didn't have to be that way. She could have just told us to come back another day. But she didn't which was much appreciated as two of the colleagues that I was with had illnesses that required them to get the shots. The Take Care Clinic handles a wide variety of health needs from physicals, to vaccines, to writing prescriptions to treating all kinds of everyday illnesses. They are open 7 days a week and take most forms of insurance or you can pay directly for the service if you don't have insurance. I can't speak for all of them- but this clinic was clean, efficient and willing to go out of their way to service their patients even at the end of what looked to be a long day for the both of them (looked like flu shot syndrome to me!). I certainly will remember Take Care Clinics the next time I am asked where to go for a everyday health care needs.

Finally, a good experience with a Take Care Clinic! My fiance had been bugging me (in the most…read morecaring way possible, of course) to get a flu shot. I didn't really want to, especially since I didn't get sick last year, but I was a victim of Swine '09 (never forget), and I do seem to get random illnesses, so I gave in. I also got to kill two birds with one stone in this trip since I needed a tetanus shot because my genius self knelt on an old nail and got a slightly deep cut. Flashbacks to the "Arthur's Knee" episode of Arthur were putting the scare in me, so I figured I'd be safe and get that shot as well. I walked into Walgreens around 5pm, right after work. I was expecting a long wait due to flu season and the time of day, and because I didn't have an appointment (I was told it's not needed for a shot). I had checked the wait time online prior to my arrival, but I called BS on it for the reasons listed above. It was right, though. When I got there, there was only one guy ahead of me. Sweet! I checked into the kiosk and entered my info. I checked the vaccination boxes for flu shot and tetanus. A guy came out and helped the customer in front of me, and then he was seen. Then he came over to me, asked for my insurance and ID, and gave me the flu shot paperwork to fill out (1 page). I made sure to tell him I was also there for tetanus and he said that's fine and told me it would be about 20 minutes until I would be seen. Pretty standard. No big. The waiting area and overall health part of this Walgreens is super nice. Totally remodeled, not that I know what it looked like before, but it was pretty damn pristine. They had a nice TV monitor in the clinic showing the order of people being seen for the clinic, and those waiting for prescriptions. They also had a nice, comfy seating area. Not just some crappy chairs but a nice long cushiony seat. Could use some magazines though, but I guess they want you to buy those. Finally it was my turn. The nurse practitioner was very efficient, yet friendly. I was a little taken aback at first because she was so on her game that it almost came off as rushing, but the more I talked to her, the more I realized that's just how she is. She got the flu shot ready and I made sure to tell her I was there for tetanus as well. She first told me that I didn't indicate that when I checked in and I told her I did, twice: first on the kiosk and I told the check-in guy as well. Once she realized I wasn't at fault, she got me the paperwork to read about tetanus, and got that one ready as well. I got a shot in each arm, meaning I felt like Gumby the rest of the night. She processed my paperwork, asked if I had any questions, and I was on my way. I really appreciate the fact that they have a check-in guy rather than having the nurse practitioner have to do it all herself, something I've seen at other Take Care Clinics. This allows things to move on pretty quickly. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. If I can't see my doctor for whatever reason and need to come back, I'd feel totally comfortable doing so. Keep it up, VP Take Care Clinic. Don't prove me wrong.

I arrived 20 minutes before 8am, when doctors start seeing people. The woman at the check in desk (Debra) was very kind and helpful. She took care of everything, told me I was second & directed me where to go. No one was called in until 8:10am. The woman they called in first came after me and the other woman. Then, 3 more people went in (1 being the woman ahead of me & 2 individuals that arrived afterwards). I checked in with the front desk to see why I hadn't been called. Debra inquired. They called me next. The male nurse took my vitals and was friendly. After he left though, I wanted in the room to see a doctor for another 15 minutes. Checked with the desk; they said someone would be in soon and that there was someone with an emergency they had to attend to first. Doctor saw me for 5 maybe 10 mins max. She was nice. I just really hate how long the entire process took and was charge $50 for all that waiting and such short time seeing the provider. Considering I arrived early and was the second in line, this shouldn't taken as long as it did. I get that medical offices are understaffed; however, the fact that people were called in before me who arrived afterwards, that's unfair. Walk ins should be seen according to the order in which they arrived. I'd give this a one star review if it wasn't for the friendliness of the staff.
