BCBS is an abomination. They could care less about their patients/customers. They provide laughably…read morehigh premium costs and copays while providing anemic service. They incorporate all manner of ersatz roadblocks in paying for even prophylactic services like vaccines! My wife's doctor prescribed a Shingles vaccine at her age. She told us that she did not have the vaccine on hand and that we should go to our pharmacist to get the vaccine. We went to the Osco near our home. We completed the extensive paperwork but were rejected by BCBS. We called BCBS and were told to go back to our doctor to follow a different approval process! All of this for a vaccine. We called our doctor who told us we could go to Walgreens for the vaccine. We went to Walgreens and completed the extensive paperwork again! The pharmacist called BCBS who told us we were not covered for the vaccine on our policy for which we pay $330 per month! We again called BCBS. After 2 hours of massive run around and misinformation, we were told that we would have to convince our primary provider to find a secondary provider in network who could give my wife the vaccine. And that is where we are right now. Multiple doctor and pharmacist visits spending hours to get a vaccine. Pig selfish greedy insurance companies like BCBS purposefully make getting basic service extraordinarily challenging because they know many folks will give up saving the corrupt BCBS tons of money that remains in the CEOs, administrator, and shareholder's clown size pockets! BCBS motto is self over service Avoid these insurance monsters at all costs. They are greedy pigs for sure!

Their offices are not accessible for persons who use wheelchairs. I am pretty sure other medicare- Medicaid plans suck too. whoever thought of this stupid insurance idea, did not have persons with disabilities in mind. there's a lot discrimination towards us because doctors do not want to deal our insurances or disabilities.
