It was my privilege to not only introduce Duos Catering to my company, but also to my clientele. The moment that I began working with Will and Josh my mind was put at ease about the event that was being planned. The menu was exquisite and the service and presentation was stupendous. The reaction on everyones face was pure shock and amazement. The fact that something so wonderfully divine not only to the taste buds, but equally stunning to the eyes was capable with catering was unbelievable. It was like an elite gourmet restaurant was at our fingertips. Some of the highlights were the baked brie en croute and the duos nut mix... mouth watering. Whenever I get the chance to use them again I will not hesitate. read more

I hired Duos Catering to cater a birthday party for my wife. We had about 40 guests. I'll again echo what everyone else is saying: the food is fantastic, everyone wanted to know who the caterer was and whether they could hire them for their own parties, and they were super nice and helpful throughout. For more unique details: (1) They did a great job with a sketchy space. The event was in the party room at an ice rink, yet they were able to handle the weird space and lack of utilities/kitchen/etc. without missing a beat, and were able to make their presentation look classy. (2) The food looked exactly like the pictures on the web site. I was kind of shocked that it looked that good in real life. Very impressive. (3) There were a couple of days near the event where I wasn't able to get in touch with them, and I got a little nervous. They're a family owned business, and so you should probably expect less responsiveness than a larger operation. Even without perfect communication, they were totally trustworthy to get everything done, and to get it done exactly right. Also, I was still finalizing plans for the event at the last minute, so you can avoid these problems just by planning ahead (which is probably a good idea anyway). Of course, the temporary lack of responsiveness was more than balanced out by the quality of the food and service, the price, and Joshua and Benjamin's friendliness and help in planning everything. I still think they're worthy of a 5 star review, and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

How to find adequate praise for Duos Catering? These guys are professional, gracious, charming, and such talented chefs. We had them serve passed and trayed appetizers for our backyard wedding party in May (50 adults and some kids). The pretty, delicious appetizers stopped people in mid-onversation--and that's saying something with our friends. Even our food-fussiest guests raved about the caterers. I've been to lots of catered events for major organizations, and I say Duos' creative take on party food far outshines the usual boring something-on-a-crust. Josh and Will suggested precisely the right amount and type of food, allowing for quirky dietary preferences. For the quality of food, presentation, and service, their bid was quite reasonable. We had gorgeous cheese, vegetable, and fruit-nut platters. And the wonderful crab cakes, smoked salmon on potato cake, Thai chicken crepe, risotto arancini, and mushrooms with truffle oil (big flavor hit!). This was perfect finger food to consume on foot, while balancing a glass of Prosecco. Ben managed the serving invisibly, anticipating every need before I had to ask. The bartender, whose name escapes me, was quite professional. They dealt with our weird kitchen-dining floor plan by setting up a canopy in the driveway. Later in the evening when it started raining, Ben and Josh moved that canopy over the deck to cover the bartender (without being asked). They hit the perfect tone of discreet but friendly for our little gathering. Five stars! Hire them! read more

This place is fantastic! My husband and I went there for a work party on Thursday and the happy hour drinks were amazing. The food was amazing as well! I will definitely be back to this place again! read more

I attended a private birthday party here last night. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place! It was a perfect size for the 40+ adults that attended. The food was simple buffet style, but oh so yummy. The bar service was also A+! They were more than willing to go off the catering menu to accommodate special drink requests. The staff was very friendly and never got in the way. I would imagine the price for a Saturday night event might be a bit expensive, but it was a party that I will not soon forget! read more

I recently had Duos-catering cater a graduation party for me and I could not be more happy with the food and the service. The party was for a very picky eater so I really put Duos Catering to the challenge, but they took the challenge and delivered. I provided them with all of the likes and dislikes of my guest of honor and they came back with a menu that was outstanding and fully met all of my guests requirements. They were also very good about accommodating the few vegetarian guests as well. Duos Catering was very prompt and quickly set up for the party. I really appreciated the posting of the menu and the labeling of all of foods and ingredients. Once the party was over I called and within minutes they were back to clean up. I and all of my guests were blown away with the the quantity and quality of the food. Now several days later and everybody is still talking about how good everything was. I would have no reservations at all in recommending Duos Catering to any of my friends or co-workers. I fully intend on using them again for my next event. read more

Duos was an amazing catering company to work with. They were the only company we had a tasting with and we picked them right away! They were very responsive and accommodating, even when I kept changing my mind about the menu selections. Everyone raved about the food (pulled pork sandwiches and fish tacs), and their service on the day of the wedding kept everything moving very smoothly. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Fantastic!!! I ordered from them for a brunch meeting for 200 - All of their breakfast platters are to die for. They showed up on time and were very friendly and helpful in setting everything up. Everyone LOVED the food and its been requested over and over again. Duos is great!!! read more

I have been to multiple events that Dous just happen to cater and I have never been disappointed. The unique but simple foods they come up with melt in my mouth. I highly recommend them for any event. Weddings, business lunches, and even a bbq. read more

Ordered business lunch for 50 people 2 days in advance, added people to the head count 2x, changed the delivery time 3x, and delivery was complicated logistically as we are on a military base... Duos didn't bat an eye and accomodated all our requests! The food is seriously good. We ordered PNW lunch buffet and the lemon caper chicken was some of the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Even the asparagus was great and I normally hate asparagus. Sophisticated flavors without pretention. Universal crowd pleaser, rcvd so many comments on how good the food was. Well priced for the quality. Thank you Duos. read more

Duo's Catering did an awesome job for my daughter's wedding at Axis in Pioneer Square. We had to have served appetizers and a plated dinner with absolutely no garlic and they pulled it off! Everything was delicious and plated beautifully. The staff was receptive, very nice, and professional as well. Many guests commented that it didn't taste like typical wedding food. We were able to go to several tastings as well as the restaurant to make our choices and they were very accommodating as to our dietary concerns as well as changes in our entree choices. Everything we asked for was taken care of. Highly recommend. read more

I think my husband and I were very lucky, because all of our wedding vendors exceeded our expectations. However, we were most impressed with James and the Duos team. The food was the most important thing to me for the reception. I love to cook and entertain and I do it often, so I felt that our guests would be expecting good wedding food (lots of pressure to get it right!). My husband and I both loved the food we had at the tasting, but Duos somehow made it even BETTER for the wedding. Our guests kept giving us compliments about how incredible the food was. "This is the best wedding food I've ever had" was said multiple times. I also noticed that they gave out generous plates, which I really appreciated. As a guest, it's the worst feeling when you can't take as much food as you'd like because you feel there might not be enough for everyone. Everyone was stuffed and had their fill, which I was very happy to see! The menu was just perfect. James really nailed it! He paid such close attention to all the details and created a menu that perfectly suited us. I can't tell you what a relief it was to be able to trust James and Duos with this and not have to worry about whether it was going to be executed well or not. The grey linens they found for the tables were perfect, and the tables as a whole looked beautiful (we put them in charge of handling all the linens, plates, silverware, glassware etc.) The wine was great, the beer was great. Really, I wouldn't change a thing. To give a little idea of what our menu looked like (this was all served family style): Appetizers: -Cheese beignets -Duck breast crostini Dinner: -Potato rolls and butter -Strawberry salad with feta -Roast herb chicken -Beef bourguignon -Gnocchi ratatouille -Pasta gusto -Haricot vert with scallion vinaigrette Dessert: -Raspberry hazelnut tiramisu A few more things regarding James particularly: He was always prompt in his email responses, very informative, and very professional. I appreciate that with each change I made, he updated the prices accordingly. I also appreciate that he put in the work to find the right company for the rentals and linens etc. and kept me updated throughout that whole process. He never made me feel like I was being a bother (even with all my changes and questions!), and he were excited with us which made it even MORE fun. James is so darn good at what he does! If you're getting married soon or need someone to cater your event, I would highly recommend Duos. read more

We hired Duos to do our wedding catering and couldn't have been happier. We had about 75 guests and a tricky location and they were very accomidating and helpful. They were super enthusiatic, great to work with and the food was amazing. We still have guests telling us how good the food was - and we're over a month past the wedding. I'd recommend Duos to anyone. read more

I work for a company in Seattle. We have catered lunch once every week and breakfast every other week. We order from Duos for almost all of our meals. They offer variety, meet our diverse needs (meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans) and the food tastes absolutely amazing every time. As the event planner I seek feedback from my staff about each meal. They always rave about how delicious each meal is. I can count on Duos to deliver excellent, quality food each meal. The staff of Duos is super friendly too. I love working with them. Occasionally, I don't get my order to them in time and when that happens, they reach out to me with a suggested meal option. They make my life so easy! Just goes to show what an amazing team they are and how thoughtful they are of their customers. I would recommend Duos every time. 5 stars! read more

I work for a high end retail company and we had Duos cater two of our events, and on short notice. Regardless, we had nothing but great feedback from our guests and they were a delight to work with. A very special thank you to Alicia, Scott, and the bartenders who were shining stars on both nights, and of course the entire Duos team for making everything hassle free, delicious, and unique! read more

Please be aware Duos has a new owner. Our experience with this person was absolutely disappointing. We've worked with them in the past to cater our annual charity auction. They have always been creative and ready to help us to meet our budget in a way that works for everyone. This year I had to chase them down, sometimes waiting a week for response. Every new bid had a new charge, and when I asked about them, they would be removed but a new one added with no notice. I had to print the bid each time and cross check to find the new costs. When I passed this feedback to the owner and the locale, the owner pulled his bid. This left us with no caterer after 6 weeks of back and forth, with only 5 weeks until our event. It all could have gone so much better if the owner had just been upfront about event minimums, instead of claiming he could "replicate" past years and then sneaking fees in bit by bit. We would have known from the beginning that it wasn't going to work, but instead we wasted time and were left to scramble. read more

Thank you Duos for the beautiful food! The taste, presentation and professionalism of this team will keep me loyal. I can't wait to try their new restaurant as well! read more

I was going to use Duos to cater my wedding for December. I was looking forward to using them after I had brunch at the restaurant because it was fantastic. However all our interaction with the wedding catering coordinator were very odd and not professional. At our first meeting their wedding catering coordinator was late. We tried to amuse ourselves but we almost walked out due to the tardiness. Meeting went fine once the wedding coordinator came. We decided to go proceed with them and the menu they had created for us. But when we went to go finalize details we were stood up. My husband and I drove in Seafair traffic to our tasting appointment to only find the doors locked and lights out. I double checked my emails and called my wedding planner to find out if we had shown up on the wrong date/time. I called the numbers the wedding catering coordinator gave as her contact and it went to voicemail. My husband called the number on the website and there was no answer. After speaking with my wedding planner and finding out we were there at the correct time and place. We decided that this miscommunication was not something we wanted to deal with on our wedding day. We called and emailed them stating we would not work with them. I later was contacted by them stating that there had been miscommunication with staff and the doors were locked but someone was inside. If that was the case then all our calls and knocking someone should have appeared. I was also told that the wedding catering coordinator never planned on meeting us. That upset me because she had not told us prior to setting up the meeting. She was suppose to be my contact person and I wanted her there to finalize all the details. It may have been a different story if we had been informed of our new contact person prior to our final meeting. I should have gotten their contact information and I could have contacted them directly. The food is wonderful however their catering operator needs to improve her communication skills and be more professional. read more

Hired Duos Catering for my daughter's first birthday party back in January. Friends and family at the party constantly asked who made the food and thought the tender beef tri tip was absolutely delicious, along with the potatoes. I had great experience working with William, as he answered all my questions and assured me he wouldn't use certain foods because of the allergies one of my guests and children had. Food was still warm when served and was promptly ready on time. Great service and definitely recommend using them. read more

I rearely, rarely write reviews. We had Duos cater our wedding this September. Honestly, after a introductory tasting at an event, Duos was not our first choice in caterer, we ended choosing Duos initially becuase they were so reasonably priced... THANK GOD we chose Duos!! The food and service we recieved from Duos and Alicia was top notch, better than other events and weddings i have been to where I know were twice the price. Their food was amazing, everyone at the wedding RAVED about the food, how good it was, the variety, etc. I was told at least a dozen times "best wedding food I've ever had". Besides the food being amazing, Duos (especially Alicia) was so so so so so so great to work with. She was so accomodating and really really knows her stuff. Our venue was a little tricky and had to be turned between reception and ceremony, we also had a totaly of 3 bars in different areas... This was no problem for Duos, they made everything run seamlessly! I would reccomned Duos over and over and over again... food A+ Service A++ Go to their lounge as well! amazing food! read more

In a nutshell, Duos caterers are professional, responsive, prepare fresh fantastic food, and have great attention to detail. I think it is fair to attribute the success of our event primarily to the amazing cuisine that was so beautifully presented, to these guys. Our guests raved about their meal, and I have to rave about their service. Josh was so responsive in communicating with me and made everything so easy; they really went above and beyond to make the experience for both our guests and us, a very pleasurable one. read more

Wonderful food, wonderful service, perfect timing. We asked Duos to cater for our engagement party and were amazed at what we received. All of our guests could not stop asking where the food came from, and were duly referred. The variety, taste, textures and presentation were all spot-on. We were very happy with Duos and plan to ask them to cater more events, since why wait for a special occasion to have catering? read more

Had a party for about 40 people and we just wanted some easy pub grub/finger foods. Duos did not disappoint. The food was excellent - the pulled pork sliders were amazing - and the presentation was great. Our guests were happy, Joshua is super nice, patient and easy to work with. We will definitely be calling Duos again. read more

Duos is AMAZING!!! I was planning my wedding and putting some feelers out there for catering companies. After filling in the inquiry information and notifying caterers that our wedding was to be VERY small and intimate, some of the bigger catering companies didn't even bother getting back with me, and some curtly replied that I could order off of the cold sandwiches menu they offered. I inquired with Duos and got a very warm response from Nikki. She is THE BEST. She told me that ALL weddings were special and no matter the size of my wedding, Duos would be honored to work with me to create the perfect experience. It meant a lot to me that although our guest count wasn't high and we weren't "big ticket customers", Duos was still committed to providing the best service and experience possible. Throughout the planning process Nikki was very timely with her responses to my questions and worked with us closely to put together a menu that we loved. Not only was the service and pre-wedding day experience exceptional, the food was DELICIOUS! The staff set everything up and made a beautiful presentation for our guests. Everyone went back for seconds and we received a lot of compliments on the quality of food. Seriously, we had the BEST experience with them! read more

The experience from beginning to end - -enjoying amazing left-overs post-party day--was top notch professional and memorable. You are dealing with the best if you hire Duos - -from the responsiveness to what you would like on your menu, catering to your budget and desires, and timely delivery of the most amazing food. We had marinated tri-tip steak, cooked to perfection, rainbow carrots, the best brussel sprouts on the planet, baby pesto potatoes, harissa-chickpeas with sweet potatoes, and an amazing pear/gorgonzola/walnut salad. Dues is first on my list of caterers. Give them a try - -you won't be disappointed! read more

I am writing this review just a few days after our big wedding event because we are so in love with Duos. Nikki was our contact for our event and she is stellar. She is calm, fun, and clear in her communication. She always responds right away to questions or changes. In fact, we had what can only be described as a "major glitch" in our contract (which was completely our fault for not communicating) and my wife called Nikki on a Sunday night practically crying and Nikki fixed everything in about ten minutes. This was huge! Every request related to our food was met with a "sure, we can do that". Nikki even traveled out to our wedding venue on an island in the woods on her dime to see our spot and make recommendations. As a result, we ended up ordering perfect farm tables for the night, which our guests just adored. On the night of our wedding her staff were helpful, courteous and super fun and friendly. Just an all around class act, really. Our wedding photographer said to us "that was the best salmon I have ever had at a wedding". So awesome. We cannot recommend Duos enough. read more

Chose Duos Catering to cater an event for friends and family under 100 people. The food was delicious, they were really friendly, and the price was the best of the handful of companies I got quotes from. Very glad we chose them and highly recommend them and their shrimp ceviche! read more

If you need catering for any event, use DUOS! If I could give 6 stars, I would! We just used them for our wedding and absolutely EVERYTHING was amazing. Alicia is such a joy to work with and was responsible for bringing it all together. She was extremely responsive from the very first time I contacted her. She is so sweet, but more importantly she is so good at what she does. I didn't have a wedding coordinator and she really helped me work through things with her expertise and great ideas. And she had us come in to the lounge for two tastings so that we could have exactly what we wanted! Everyone that worked at our event was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We were so pleased! And then there is the food! Wow. It is not often that the guests are still talking about the food over a week after the wedding. I cannot count how many guests kept telling me how delicious the food was. Duos exceeded my expectations in every aspect. There is nothing that I would have changed! Thank you! read more
