If all you need is a snooker table and nothing else, you'll find Dunstable Snooker Club ideal, although if the state of the baize isn't your only consideration you may be disappointed.
The tables are in good condition with two pool tables and around a dozen snooker tables, however if you don't possess your own cue then buy one (preferably elsewhere as their mini-shop is ludicrously expensive) because the 'pub cues' are in as bad a way as you'll see.
The building itself is dilapidated with the upstairs consisting of the same green paint peeling off both the walls and windows, the downstairs area is slightly better but with the space under some of the tables used as storage for empty barrels, it still looks a bit of a dive.
The bar is well stocked and has a plasma screen with the two pool tables and a darts board but for a members' bar, the prices are shocking. There is also a problem with the size of the bar, it struggles to cater for more than 10 people which can be a massive problem when pool or darts leagues or poker tournaments are held.
For the pleasure of all this, membership is £20 a year, which is a massive contrast from Rileys' £5 fee.
