My husband's bill came promptly and was perfectly correct. After more than six months and several incorrect bills, they finally billed me, somewhat correctly. At least it was not the extreme overcharge of the first two attempts. Luckily I had my husband's correct bill for reference. Very glad this office is just for after hours care. Would not want to deal with their billing department on a regular basis. The first two times they sent the incorrect billing, I called them and explained their mistake. Each time they waited several months, and instead of sending me a correct bill, they sent a collection agency warning letter. Then I called them again and explained again. Each the very polite offshore customer service representative said all would be well. Finally the third time the billing was close enough to correct that I was willing to pay it.

Between signing up on the app and getting in touch with a Dr it was about less than 10 minutes. I did like that the Dr wasn't in a rush as many are in person and in the comfort of my own car nonetheless. One of the biggest benefits is not having to deal with the office administrators of a doctors office. Sometimes as nice as a Dr can be, the front of the house can really turn people off and we all know how hard it is to find a good fit.

Dr. Cummings is the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology specialist at Menlo Medical Clinic and,…read moreaccording to her bio on the MMC site, she has been with them for 23 years. My three little boys have a variety of allergies and are all subject to asthma/wheezing, so we've gotten to know Dr. Cummings over several years now... and I'm thankful that she is here to help us sort through the associated complex and stressful issues. She's got the experience and research knowledge to know what she's doing -- and during my interactions she's demonstrated both a friendly bedside manner and a balance between confidence and caution that I find reassuring. Of course with allergies as with lots of other ailments, doctors are still learning -- so even the experts can often not tell you the "right answer" for how to manage a particular allergy. And it's no fun bringing your little guys in to be poked and prodded each year for an allergy test, especially when (as on our last visit) my three year old's uncomfortable skin test got botched and had to be repeated. But as with most things, no pain, no gain. And since we are trying to do our very best to keep our little guys safe and comfortable over the long haul, we're going to keep coming to Dr. Cummings for the best advice we can get.

I've been having allergy issues off and on for all my life. For the past few years, it's been…read moremostly on, but all the different allergists I'd gone to had mostly thrown their hands up and said they didn't know how to treat me. I've been told I'm allergic/sensitive to chemicals, and there's no known way to treat that. Dr Cummings was highly recommended to me, and I went to her as a last ditch effort. She took a look at all my previous testing, listened to me talking about my symptoms, and pinpointed my main (though not only) problem immediately - untreated silent reflux - and gave me a recommendation for her colleague, Dr Chan. She was right on the money. Dr Chan tested me, put me on meds, and I've never been better. Unlike other allergists I've gone to, Dr Cummings knows what can mimic allergy problems, and who to send you to. And I'm really grateful for that expertise, and her wonderful bedside manner.

My work insurance changed and I've recently switched to Kaiser. My experience so far with Kaiser…read morehas made me realize how poorly I was served by Stanford Family Practice. First thing you need to know--it will take months--yes, literally months--to get an appointment. When I reacted in disbelief, I was told unapologetically "Stanford in a teaching facility our doctors are only in a couple of days a week". Seeing patients is not the priority of this center. Second thing to know--you will get mysteriously charged additional copays months after your appointment. It turns out that the doctors do not charge copay by appointment, but by "topic". When I questioned the additional copay, I was told I must have asked the doctor a question unrelated to what my appointment was schedule for so each additional question can be charged a separate copay. Are you kidding me? Finally, and most importantly, again Standford is a teaching hospital--if you require surgery, or treatment, I highly advise that you ask that the interns/students do not work on you. I did not, and I physically paid dearly for it!!

First, I want to correct something another reviewer said. He said it takes months to get an…read moreappointment. In the fifteen years I've been going there, I've almost always gotten an appointment within a week. Even better is that they recently started offering same-day appointments. You only have to make an appointment if there's one specific doctor you Just call first thing in the morning and you'll likely get in that day. Both Dr. Richard Lee (who sadly is no longer there) and now Dr. Crump have given me first-class treatment. I've always been treated well there. When was very open to alternative therapy for getting my blood pressure down. Thanks to his guidance and openness, I'm now off my hypertension medication completely! But the appointment that stood out most for me was when I fell and was in insane amounts of ankle pain. Dr. Crump examined it and said that it was at worst a hairline fracture. I asked if he should x-ray it. His response put a smile on my face. He said, "We could do an x-ray, but the treatment would be the same." In today's broken fee-for-service medical industry, it was refreshing to have a doctor who wasn't suggesting unnecessary procedures to get paid more by insurance companies. In short, I've always gotten first-class treatment from Stanford Family Practice and will be going there as long as possible.

When I returned for a follow-up because I still haven't got used to the glasses, I was treated with utter disrespect. The individual who performed my exam took me into the room and began shouting at me, insisting the glasses were fine before I could even explain the issues I was having. I have never experienced such unprofessional or aggressive behavior in a medical setting. Do yourself a favor and find another ophthalmologist who actually listens to their patients. I had got my glasses from the menlo park office and they told me to go to their mountain view office this time.

It should be obvious that I trust her with my eye health. Dr. Wang is skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient. In addition to fully answering my questions (which are often very technical since we're both in the healthcare profession), she takes time to chat about different subjects such as work and family, and she remembers details about these conversations when I see her in followup. Joel, the optician, has also been there for a long time. He is helpful and gives honest opinions about the frames that I choose. Dr. Wang, if she has time, sometimes weighs in as well. My glasses usually arrive in the office much sooner than originally promised. Only once did my lenses have to be remade, when the progressive part of the lens (yes, I'm that old) was a little too high and there was a slight visual distortion as I looked through them. If I had one minor complaint, it's that there is a comparatively smaller selection of frames in the Menlo Park office (admittedly, I've never been to her Mountain View location). However, I'm always able to find something that I like and looks pretty good on my face.

I also liked the waterfall and the detailed map in the front entryway. There was also an elevator along with stairs and a number of parking spaces. I saw Dr. Nguyen and she was in the allergy clinic on the second floor. Her staff/that office was very helpful since I did not receive the snail mail copy of questionnaire and I was able to fill it out in person. The only thing I felt a little awkward with was when it came time for me to get my allergy Test done, Dr. Nguyen, female doctor left the room and a male nurse came in to put the different allergens on my back as I was wearing a patient gown that was open in the back without my bra. Kind of awkward since all my encounters prior to this were female doctors or Female receptionist. I wish I could've asked for a woman to come in beforehand, but whatever! I needed to get the allergy test done and I felt awkward anyways, but I think they should ask ahead of time if you would feel comfortable with a male person touching your back without your bra on. Everything else was fine and he was professional, even though he was a male nurse. I just think it was in my head. Lol.

When a business cares, takes customer feedback and concerns seriously, it shows. They were apologetic in professional way, offered me to see Dr Khosla at not extra charges. They also added a free red light therapy (which was complete surprise) On the day of my appointment, the front staff (again like my previous experience) was super nice, friendly, professional. No wait time, I saw Dr Khosla immediately. And now I can truly see what other reviewers meant, Dr Khosla is very empathetic, warm, professional. Her care and expertise shows in the way she treats the patients. I felt all my concerns were heard, not rushed. I went ahead and started with the recommended treatment. Follow up from the appointment, I also received a call to make sure my experience was better. It's been a couple of weeks and I have started with new treatments which have been wonderful. The new office that opened this week is excellent too. I appreciate all the care, professionalism in which the feedback was handled. From being an unhappy customer, now I'm looking forward to future appointments and would recommend this place.

I waited only 15 minutes before I was taken to a patient room, which was at my exact appointment time. The medical assistant went over all me meds and took vitals before Dr. Lee came in. I really had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lee. He has the best bedside manners. He was thorough and took his time with me. I never felt rushed or that he was in a hurry to see the next patient. And he is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He went over my medical history and changed the dose of one of my medications. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I really felt that he was a great Dr. and the perfect fit for me. I definitely felt comfortable with him. I will be seeing him from now on, since my former nephrologist at Stanford had moved to Southern California. I also like that I can see him via video visits from home, unless he needs to see me in person. I can reach out to him anytime through the MyHealth messaging, which he strongly encouraged me to do, if I need anything. Overall a great experience and I look forward to seeing him at my next appointment.

Oh how the mighty have fallen…read more The more I experience healthcare for myself and navigate the healthcare system for my parents in America for the past 35 years, the more disappointed I get that it's clearly a for profit business...except it's a business that doesn't care for customer service or bedside manner. The irony is that health professionals profess and preach that COVID is dangerous (easy to transmit), STDs can be spread, HIV/AIDS is dangerous and spreadable through bodily fluids, the spread of germs is through different forms of various contact, or you can get sick through transmission/exchange of fluids. And they're absolutely right! But...why then was the bathroom of this clinic absolutely abysmal?!! Urine all over the floors to the point where you would think the toilet is just there for decoration! My father is half paralyzed due to a debilitating stroke he had years prior, and two things were highly ludicrous to me: 1. No one offered to help him when one of the staff coldly instructed him to derive a urine sample when he clearly has only one mobile hand and leg 2. They (both nurses and administrative staff) gave him blank stares when he reported the filthy, disease-ridden and abysmal state of the bathroom and ignored/dismissed him! Stanford? Pft. Sounds like Rebranding is in order. More like.... Stankford. Moldford. Scamford. Filfthford. Grimeford. Rancidford. You know how departments come down hard on fiilthy restaurants and give letter grades? Stanford clinic bathrooms should have the letter "F" engraved with crowds from Game of Thrones yelling "shame, shame, shame, shame!!!" Wordplay aside, this is absolutely unacceptable. This experience involved lack of patient safety, disability accommodation failures, and infection-control violations. All in which rises above a normal bad review. You bet that I'm writing a formal complaint to Stanford healthcare, California Department of Public Health, The Joint Commission, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. I may even report them to the Hospital ADA Compliance Officer. Yelp and Google is just the start of my PSA, but also a place to insult this poor excuse of a clinic. I will stick to the clinical and safety focused language in my formal complaints. The formal complaint to all agencies will include: exact date, time, and department. * That urine was visibly present on the floor * That no assistance was offered * That this created risk of falls, infection, and humiliation * Emotional and physical impact on my father Avoid Stanford Clinics like the plague!!!!!
