a paper cup of hot chocolate

This place has the worst customer service. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because I love Dunkin coffee. But they are so rude here in Nogales. The other day I ordered a extra large hot chamomile tea and asked for 2 tea bags since it's a larger cup and the girl refused. Said I have to pay double . I said a small and a medium and a large should have different amount of tea since more hot water she said no I would have to pay for 2 extra large teas if I want 2 tea bags in an extra large . And today my husband picks up our mobile order and my cup of peppermint signature mocha latte felt very light it was only half and no didn't even take 1 sip . Even if whipped cream got diluted should still be more than half way full . I'm done with Dunkin Nogales looks like Starbucks it is. I will miss Dunkin but not the horrible customer service.

Some years back after I worked my night shift, I would go there to buy few dozen donuts, usually glazed and bring them back for the staff lounge, as a treat for the morning shift. At some point, they had to close due to roof damage and they never opened that Sixth street location again. Luckily for me, they opened another location near my house on 22nd and Alvernon. I've been going through the drive-through just buying donuts for myself for 3 years or so. I learned on Monday they were closing for good. It's so hard to imagine because they're so tasty and then they even have a drive-through! Yesterday my former boss called after hearing the news herself, just to be sure I knew Le Caves was closing and talk about our donut memories from fifteen years ago. I'll miss their yummy treats because they have tres leches, great glazed donuts ( I must have purchased 100's), Bismarck's and eclairs. I know they did custom cakes, but I never did buy a cake. I sure do like all their pastries. I no longer bring dozens of donuts to the office, since my work changed and COVID changed how people work. Thanks for surviving the global pandemic and giving Tucson tasty donuts and pastries.

And for all that, the price per donut was darn fair. Fast-forward to the last 2x I went there (2025) to bring home a maple bar for the spouse and a few to have for the rest of the family. They were a little better than most grocery store donuts. BUT. Not as good as they used to be. Don't know what happened, but they are middle of the road now, at best. The very last time I went the maple bars were dry, smaller and not the same. New baker? New recipe? Complacency? Idk, but my local Dunkin (Sandario) is now noticeably better or equivalent and a much shorter drive. Service is no frills. Don't have anything to say about the ambiance as I've only driven thru. Overall, okay, but nothing to get excited about. And my coffee was not worth reviewing. Maybe one day I'll try them again and see if they've improved.

I stopped at Rise 'n Shine this morning and was greeted by the fragrance of deliciousness and two very sweet ladies. The shop is clean and bright and the cases are filled with delectable pastries, but I was on a mission. I asked for two apple fritters and they were huge and delicious looking. I paid and took them home. The proof is in the tasting. Crisp outside, soft and moist and appley inside. Sheer delicious perfection. There is a sign on the window about broasted chicken but I forgot to ask. Next time, because there will be a next time.
