I had no idea what Bienenstich was, but it caught my eye. I asked the woman working for suggestions, and that was the first donut she mentioned. After that, there was no more hesitation, just enjoyment. From Brammibal's website: "You don't know Bienenstich yet? Well, ask any German around you and we promise they will start raving about it. This donut is filled with our homemade vanilla custard made with organic vanilla, then dunked in a vanilla glaze, and topped with roasted slivered almonds." The next time I visited Brammibal's Donuts I ordered the Candied Almond Donut that's made with a caramel almond cream, dipped in an almond glaze, and decorated with chopped roasted almonds. - insert drooling face. Yes, this donut was indeed just as good as it sounds! The donut was cooked to perfection and had an ooey gooey filled center! I would have enjoyed a few more almonds on top, but that is the only minor thing I would have changed. Extras: They have wifi available I had no problem ordering in English Fun and cute decor Friendly service Good variety To watch me eat these delicious donuts in real-time, and to see more of the Berlin cafes I visited, watch my youtube video below: "eat with me in Berlin." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p7Yw8BIiNw

Serving Prenzlauer Berg beginning at 06h15 Tuesday through Saturday, lines generally present for items scratch-baked daily, the variety offered at Siebert ranges far and wide with Pastries dominating early hours while Sandwiches start to sell briskly prior to noon. Rooted in classics, Berliners featuring various Jams including classic Plum Pfannkuchen weighty with filling inside an airy pocket, early arrivals should not miss Cinnamon Rolls loaded with Apples nor Cruller-like Spritzkuchen heavily topped with Glaze. Equally liberal with Sugar atop Schweineohren, a Palmier or Oreja elsewhere, Siebert's Streuselschnecke and Bienenstich each outperform those offered at Backerei Kadtler while seasonal Rhubarb Cake finds the Vegetable's assertive flavor well-balanced by lightly-sweetened Sponge and Streusel.

I recommend a Berliner doughnut with coffee for breakfast, however if you prefer savory foods, try the round cheese bread - it tasted like a mild asiago bread no need for butter or anything! They also have a small sausage croissant type of bread (kind of like pigs in a blanket) which was very tasty - even though the sausage was cold. 4 people ate multiple pastries for around $18 total! A must try in Berlin!
