I had just moved…read moreback to the Gainesville area and thankfully had a friend who has used Allen Law Firm refer me to their services. The initial meeting was very smooth and the legal representatives like Faith and Ashley who is a paralegal was very comforting and made me feel at ease. I was still in a lot of pain due to being rear ended by a truck and just still shaken up. The team guided me to Medig for physical therapy and treatment which over the next several month, I consisted visited and did the exercises given. Ashley stayed in contact via text and phone - which made me feel like they really cared for me and my wellbeing. With the consistent check ins, Allen Law Firm really took the time to put the client aka me first. After a year, I can finally say everything settled and worked in my favor. This law firm really did the work and not only advised me properly, with their professionalism and legal expertise - I highly recommend using this law firm!

I had a list of questions and he didn't know the answers to some of the most basic ones. He suggested I needed to get a lawyer. Um...that's literally why I was calling. Unbelievably there was no air-conditioning in the building on a 95 degree day. The receptionist was…read morein a sleeveless shirt with a fan directed on her to keep cool. It was uncomfortably hot! After an hour and a half drive to get there, I was directed to go to MacDonalds down the street, to use the bathroom as they reported had no "public bathroom." Attorney Massey was slumped in his chair and had on very casual clothes and no shoes. He did not stand to greet me and when I reached my hand out to introduce myself, he seemed almost shocked and I had to stretch across the desk to shake hands with him. His son about age 9 interrupted the meeting two times, bringing ice cream the first time and demanding to eat it. He argued with his son for about two minutes and didn't get out of his chair to escort his son out of the meeting and there was no apology for the interruption. The boy came back moment later asking for the location of a toy and more discussion. I wouldn't have minded the interruption, as I am a working parent, if he had taken action to escort his son out and had used the event as a teaching moment for his son rather than just an argument. The "free" consultation (as it says on the sign out front) cost $25 dollars. I was told about the fee on the phone when I made the appointment, but take the "free" off the sign. He was not interested in my case as he did not think he could win it and it would not bring him enough money at only being about $45,000 to $50,000. I had prepared multiple documents which he never looked at, he just wanted "my story" My first complaint was about being fired due to age discrimination and he never even asked what my age was. He directed me to file that with the state of Florida. There are many good reviews on this man so maybe he was having a bad day. My Dad was the senior trial lawyer for Liberty Mutual for decades and he never would have shown such an unprofessional face. Attorney Massey's advice may have been appropriate, I have no idea, but what I saw was an total lack of professionalism in a man who seemed totally disinterested in meeting me from the moment I walked into the building. Very odd and not what I expected.

Casey Harrison represented my sister and I in an unfortunate family situation surrounding my parents, estate. It was a highly charged, highly emotional situation. He is incredibly professional, yet so warm and approachable that speaking with him feels less like talking to a lawyer and more like talking to a trusted father figure who genuinely cares about your well-being. Eric has an exceptional way of explaining the law in a clear, educational, and reassuring manner. He doesn't rush you, he doesn't talk over you, and he makes sure you truly understand every step of the process. His knowledge of the law is outstanding -- he knows it like the back of his hand -- and that confidence immediately puts you at ease during what can otherwise be a stressful situation. What really sets him apart is how much he cares. You can tell he takes pride in his work and in helping people, not just handling cases. I walked away feeling informed, supported, and confident in my decisions. I highly recommend Eric Ruff to anyone looking for an attorney who is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in his clients.
