A new conservatory was added that serves as the breakfast room. The views over their gardens and the Highland Perthshire are astounding. But the most amazing aspect is the welcome we received. Louise and Struan clearly love being innkeepers and are exceptionally good at it. A cup of tea and shortbreads were immediately offered. Advice on what to visit and where to eat was comprehensive, along with maps and other aids. They seem to always have time to stop and chat and move on to handle the next task without giving you the feeling that you've been dumped. But the breakfasts! Oh my, the breakfasts! Scrambled eggs with haggis. Porridge with cream and a wee dram of Scotch. Fresh local ingredients, their own home-smoked salmon, smoothie starters with fresh fruit and a bit of porridge as a thickener. Everything was absolutely delightful. To top it off, they have a liquor license and sell two kinds of local beers and 32 different single malts. Although ranked number two in Pitlochry on Trip Advisor, there is nothing second place about this B&B. Highly recommended.

Breakfast served between 8-9:15 in the dining room. There are four breakfast choices and a self serve bar with cereals, croissants, yogurt, fruits and juices. Spotlessly clean rooms with all the amenities, super comfy beds with nice towels and sheets. Would definitely come back to this lovely B&B. Close to the train station and right in town. Steep stairs. Nicely decorated. We couldn't figure out the towel warmer. The radiator warmed up the room after awhile. There needs to be a mirror in the room near outlets to do hair. Free, good wifi. TV and plenty of outlets. Comfortable beds. Shower, no tub. Their breakfasts are amazing! Full English plus many sides--fruit, yogurt, porridge, etc. You specify your order and breakfast time (three options) the evening before. There are restaurants and shops nearby. We loved the Garden Cafe next door--fish and chips, soups and sandwiches, burgers, and desserts. The convenience store had snacks and toiletries.

This is a very sweet bed & breakfast in Pitlochry. I stayed twice here on business in autumn 2016…read morewith my work colleagues. Each stay lasted 3 - 4 nights. The host is a nice lady and it was a real pleasure for me to be her guest. She prepared us delicious breakfast in the morning and made up the rooms later on during the day. She even catered for my dietary needs without asking her which was a happy surprise for me. The rooms are reasonably sized, comfortable, clean and bright. each room has access to a private bathroom. There is a large salon on the ground floor opposite the dining room where the tasty breakfast is served every morning. I enjoyed my two stays at Kinnaird Country House and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again there if I was required to visit Pitlochry for a third time.
